“There will be no Coke Tax under my government”
Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos has proposed a carbon tax to be paid by companies who pollute the environment:
“There are companies that deserve to pay taxes, because they are polluting too much,” Santos said in a meeting with leaders of the Green Party in Bogota on Tuesday, World Environment Day.
