Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young wipes away tears-   in the Senate as she recounts the story of a young asylum seeker.  (Click on the link for the video/content warning: don’t smash your computer screen!)
Unsurprisingly, Sarah Hanson-Young’s tears fall selectively:
Greens senators have publicly supported calls for Australian sanctions against Israel over the Middle East conflict:
Is this bitch deluded or what?
Senator Hanson-Young at an Adelaide rally in 2009 shows her surrounded by placards demanding Australia “Cut ties with apartheid Israel”.
Senator Boswell yesterday described the Greens, who will assume sole control of the balance of power in the Senate from July 1, as dangerous and extreme and demanded Julia Gillard condemn the party’s policies.
“The Greens are setting a dangerous agenda for this country and (are) allowed free rein to do so by their Labor joint venture partners,” he said.
“The Greens have morphed back into reds. They sell themselves as environmentalists but are really just a rebranded socialist alliance party. There’s nothing cuddly about them.”
Meanwhile, the boats keep coming:
Just wondering, how many of these soldiers of allah is Sarah Hanson-Young putting up in her house?
The Red-Green Dictatorship is a disaster for Australia:
Brilliant! The Senate has rejected Julia Gillard’s Malaysian deal, exactly as predicted, and she refuses to agree to reopen Nauru instead.
Never mind – Gillard has announced a stunning breakthrough: she has appointed another committee.
And it is hard to avoid the conclusion it is driven by the political pride that prevents it returning to the Howard government policies it dismantled.
If this leaves you, like me, shaking your head in disbelief, it is nothing compared to the Greens position. Not only do they trenchantly reject any deterrent for asylum seekers, thereby welcoming a growing, illegal and dangerous people smuggling trade, but they also accuse Australian service personnel of the most heinous crimes.
Greens Leader Christine Milne repeated suggestions today that in 2001 when the SIEV X asylum seeker boat sank with the loss of more than 300 lives, Australian service personnel might have been aware of the boat, within reach of it, but deliberately left its occupants to perish. The Senator wants a royal commission. What an extraordinary and sickening claim.
Away from Canberra, surely most of us are shaking our heads.–Read More
Here’s  the solution:
Hanson-Young became the focus of attention on 18 June 2009 when the Senate President ordered the removal of her two-year-old daughter from the Senate chamber during a division. Formal parliamentary procedures do not allow for senators or members to bring their children onto floor of the Senate and House of Representatives chamber.   This pathetic attention seeker ignited a debate on accommodating children and their carers in the workplace.
