Thai Jihad

Update:

Jihad in Thailand: Muslim police volunteer’s bomb attack “We are at war, in case no one has noticed”

Between this morning and now another bomb was set off in Thailand, this one in Yala. Six soldiers wounded outside the Islamic Bank. Thai Police suspect police volunteer was Muslim terrorist – blows own arm off during attack. At the moment, the ‘official’ government line is that the injured officer must be interviewed before the police definitively declare he is a terrorist. The local Thai language radio station has already crossed the threshold and is calling the officer a ‘hidden terrorist’. (Pamela Geller)

“We are at war, in case no one has noticed.”

PATTANI, Thailand: Four Thai soldiers were shot to death at close range Saturday in a brazen daylight attack carried out by suspected Muslim insurgents in Thailand’s violence-prone south. Two soldiers were wounded. From The Daily Star:

Video footage of the attack in Pattani province was captured by surveillance cameras that authorities have installed throughout Thailand’s three southernmost provinces, where an Islamist insurgency that erupted in 2004 has claimed more than 5,000 lives.

The footage shows pickup trucks tailing a pair of motorbikes that soldiers were riding as they returned from a military patrol to their base.

Back in  the seventies the Arabs  flooded the south with money for mosques and madrases. Many young Thai’s went to Arabia to work, where they were given a steady drip  of proper Islam; they were indoctrinated and radicalised. When they returned, they started to preach jihad and started to murder their Buddhist neighbours.

Origami anyone?

The clueless Thai elites never understood what hit ’em;  they made the usual concessions, special treatment for this and that, only to meet more demands and more demands. The idea that you can fight jihad by employing a muslim general is the same as trying to put fire out with gasoline. To offer the jihadists tolerance, autonomy and implementation of sharia law is beyond stupid. This is what happened here.

The footage shows pickup trucks tailing a pair of motorbikes that soldiers were riding as they returned from a military patrol to their base.

As the trucks pulled up alongside the motorbikes, armed men opened fire on the soldiers at close range and shot them dead. They then stole their victims’ rifles, which they used to fire at another oncoming security vehicle before fleeing.

Police Col. Kong-att Suwannakha said three motorbikes were attacked in total, each carrying two soldiers. Police were looking for about 15 suspects in connection with the attack but had made no arrests.

The shooting is among several attacks by suspected militants since the Islamic holy month of Ramadan began last week.

A roadside bomb on Wednesday in nearby Yala province killed 5 policemen.

The three southern provinces of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat are the only Muslim-dominated provinces in the largely Buddhist country.

  1. Something about the Cocos Islands on SBS tonight, blah blah blah about white discrimination against islanders, local unrest etc. But the closing scenes showed Muslims praying…! For once I had thought there was a news item which was not about Muslims!!
