If you believe David Petraeus really resigned as CIA director over an extramarital affair, you probably also believe that Muhammad filmmaker Mark Basseley Youssef is in prison because of a parole violation. It is much more likely that both Petraeus and Youssef herald the dawning of a new style in American politics – or else Barack Obama is the luckiest man alive. General Petraeus is shaping up to be the fall guy of the Obama administration and the harbinger, along with Mark Basseley Youssef, of something entirely new in American politics: the elimination of the politically inconvenient by means of a pretext that satisfies a bored and indifferent populace and serves as a cover for goals altogether more sinister than is immediately apparent. (Robert Spencer has more)
Another top General spied on, smeared …… ruined. This is a takedown of the military. They went after and smeared the troops, now the brass. Slash and burn.
The Obama Regime is purging some of the highest military leaders in our Armed Services. Right after the Benghazi Massacre he relieved General Ham ( AfriCOM) and Admiral Gaouette (Carrier Task Froce Stennis, Mediterranean).
Politico: Marine Gen. John R. Allen, the four-star U.S. commander of the war in Afghanistan, exchanged thousands of “potentially inappropriate” emails with Jill Kelley, the Tampa woman who claimed to have been harassed by the ex-mistress of former CIA Director David Petraeus, a senior defense official told POLITICO.Allen, 58 and married, was nominated in October by President Barack Obama to be Supreme Allied Commander Europe and commander of the U.S. European Command. That nomination is now on hold, but Allen will remain commander of U.S. forces and the NATO International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) in Afghanistan, the official said. The FBI on Sunday turned over to Pentagon lawyers 20,000 to 30,000 pages of emails exchanged by the two from 2010 to 2012.
Shrillary Clinton has confirmed she will leave. Instead of testifying in Benghazi Gate she headed off for a wine tasting in Australia, with an entourage of 150. Money no object.
Getting drunk precludes testifying about the Benghazi cover-up. How convenient she finds herself on the other side of the planet slurping down some drinks while Congress attempts to get some answers on Benghazi. (JWF)
The question arises: with all this Peyton Place intrigue going on, when did these guys find time to fight a war? And the answer is, they didn’t. They weren’t trying to fight a war in Afghanistan, much less win one. They were just trying to win hearts and minds — and that doesn’t take too much of one’s precious time. Just dash off another cringeworthy video sucking up to “the noble people of Afghanistan,” and you’re done for the day — dim the lights and break out the wineglasses.
The Obama re-election dooms the country. It ensures that his philosophy will be imposed for another four years.
His election ensures the continuing shift away from the Rule of Law, property rights, free men, and free markets. Obama’s vision of how the world works ensures a dire economy until an economic collapse resets everything. The rest of the world, apparently bigger Obama supporters than U.S. voters, will not be immune from the consequences.
The Fundamentals of Progress
Peace and progress are the children of freedom. The wealth of nations was explained more than two hundred years ago by Adam Smith. Property rights and markets coordinate behavior in a manner that all are made better off by the pursuit of self-interest.
President Obama’s view of the world is in contradiction to anything that has ever succeeded. He believes that elites should manage and direct people’s lives. This fatal conceit, as Friedrich Hayek referred to it, produces failure and misery wherever it is tried.
Sweden, you’ve been bad. So we will punish you by bringing in more immigrants!
This, in effect, is the message propagated by Fredrik Reinfeldt, the sitting Prime Minister of Sweden. “Too many people voted for the Sweden Democrats,” he says, “so we are increasing immigration to teach all those racists a lesson!”
It’s hard to believe, but that’s what the man said. You can’t make this stuff up.
And it wasn’t a leaked conversation from a meeting behind closed doors, or a remark made when a microphone was accidentally left on. Mr. Reinfeldt made his statements in public, to students at the University of Stockholm.
And his party is Moderaterna, “The Moderates” — what passes for a conservativeparty in Sweden.
By the way: If immigration is such a good thing, and enriches our culture so much, how can it be used as a punishment?
Seriously, you couldn’t make it up. Because Muslims wage jihad in over 30 theatres of war around the world, they use western liberal laws and treaties to invade western nations as refugees and then blame the silly fools who give them free food, housing, schooling and healthcare for the jihad. The Muslims mental baggage consists of circular reasoning, abandonment of reason and hatred. Now they even blame us for the Bali bombings 1 & 2.

A NEW report paints a devastating picture of Muslim unemployment in Australia and links workplace discrimination to terrorist attacks such as the Bali bombings.
The report says that reducing the deep-seated hostility toward Muslims by a minority of Australians was hard to achieve in an atmosphere created by an open-ended war on terror.
The Newcastle University report was completed last year and quietly released on the Immigration Department’s website.
Using Census data, it found that the jobless rate for Muslim men was more than double the national average and that only 57 per cent of Muslim males aged 15 and older had jobs compared with 68 per cent of all working-age men.
Suburbs with high Muslim concentrations such as Broadmeadows and Dallas had jobless rates of more than 15 per cent in 2006, said the report.
“In total, 58 per cent of Muslims earned less than $400 per week compared to 41 per cent of the Australian population,” it said.
So if 58 per cent of Muslims would earn more, would that end the jihad?
