JULIA Gillard has condemned Hamas rocket and mortar attacks on Israel, saying they won’t help the Palestinian cause.
The Prime Minister said today she was gravely concerned by the escalating conflict in the Middle East, following Israel’s assassination of Hamas military leader Ahmed Jabari, and urged restraint by both sides.
Ms Gillard called on Hamas to immediately cease its rocket attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip.
Contrast that with Foreign Minister Bob Carr today:
“All we can do is urge both sides to exercise restraint,” he told Sky News.
Yeah, Bob Carr has always been a big sucker for the Muzz.

Such attacks do not serve the interests of the Palestinian people or their push for statehood, she said.
“Australia supports Israel’s right to defend itself against these indiscriminate attacks,” Ms Gillard said in a statement.
“Such attacks on Israel’s civilian population are utterly unacceptable.”
But she has urged both Hamas and Israel to exercise restraint and protect the lives of civilians.
Australia will work with other countries to end further attacks from Gaza and to encourage a de-escalation of this conflict, the prime minister said.
“We encourage regional countries, particularly Egypt, to support efforts to restore peace,” she said.
“The only way forward is a two-state solution based on direct negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis.”

The Gillard goose in cahoots with the banksters:
“International carbon markets will cover billions of consumers this decade. Ask the bankers at your table whether they want Australia to clip that ticket. We’re going to help them get their share.”
I guess she already sees herself on the board of Goldman Sachs.

Making sure the banksters get ‘their fair share’…. is anyone listening? Will this be on the evening news?
Yes, we really should trust our unelected socialist ‘leaders’ to have our interest at heart.
