POLICE believe two men who allegedly threatened worshippers at a mosque in Sydney’s south suffered from mental health illness.

Refugee advocate Jamal Daoud, from the Social Justice Network, told AAP he was contacted by a member of the Muslim community who said two Wahibi extremists had threatened Shia Muslims gathered to observe the day of Ashura.
One man was removed from the Masjid Fatima Al Zahrah Mosque on Wollongong Rd, Arncliffe, about 1.15pm Sunday after Muslim worshippers complained about his behaviour.
Police, who were outside the mosque on an unrelated matter, took the man and his friend to St George police station for questioning.

Shia Muslims commemorate Ashura as a day of mourning for the martyrdom in battle of Husayn ibn Ali, the grandson of Mohammad.
“We have information that two men were arrested when they attempted attacking masses of Shia Muslims remembering the Ashura in Arncliffe,” Mr Daoud said.
He said worshippers at the mosque called police when they became suspicious of the two men trying to use their mobile phones.
However police said the men are not aligned with any particular religious group and they may have possible mental health issues.
An Australian Federal Police spokeswoman said the incident was a matter for NSW Police.

So now we are importing the crowd suicide bombings in Rawalpindi and inter muslim violence into Sydney. But the ALP and Liberals never told me this was going to happen when I was told that we were to have multiculturalism. Funny how all this violence comes from multicultural places like Bosnia and Afghanistan. When I was a kid I was happy that Australia didn’t have all these demented ethnic conflicts on TV and we were far away. I didn’t reckon on the likes of Al Grassby Maria Kalantzis and Jerzy Zubricki ( did i get it right?) importing all this rubbish here.
