Mona Eltahowitzer says she’ll do it again

From the Grunard, of course:

Mona Eltahawy in court over defacing posters: ‘I’m proud of what I did’

Proud of vandalism?  Proud of criminal mischief?  Proud of destroying other peoples property? Proud of making a complete ass of herself?

Activist  Muselmaniac explains why she has no regrets about spray-painting anti-Muslim ads and how it’s part of her goal of direct activism.

Not “anti-Muslim ads”- the ads are anti Jihad. Is the Guardian journaillie to dense to understand that or complicit with jihad?

Writer and activist Mona Eltahawy appeared in court on Thursday on charges of criminal mischief for spray-painting an anti-Muslim poster in aNew York City subway station.

Again: its not an “anti-Muslim” poster. The ad is anti- jihad.  The journaillie, a  in New York,  should explain why she thinks jihad and Muslim is all the same.

Eltahawy was offered a plea deal but chose to go to trial for charges of criminal mischief, making graffiti and possession of an instrument of graffiti.

“I actually look forward to standing trial, because I acted out of principle and I’m proud of what I did and I will spray-paint that ad again in a second,” Eltahawy told the Guardian.

Eltahawy’s lawyer Stanley Cohen said if she plead guilty to disorderly conduct she would have had to serve two days of community service and pay the MTA approximately $200 for paint removal and nearly $800 for damaging Gucci sunglasses belonging to a woman who tried to protect the ad.

Eltahawy was arrested in September for spray-painting a poster paid for by the Anti-Muslim American Freedom Defense Initiative. The posters appeared in 10 New York subway stations and read: “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man,” and “Support Israel. Defeat Jihad.”

Following her arrest, Eltahawy was held in jail for 22 hours, longer than her detention in Egypt during the Arab spring. During the protests, she suffered two broken bones during arrest by Egyptian riot police.

Eltahawy said she was treated fairly in court proceedings but she and her lawyer believe her 22 hours overnight in jail were unjust.

“I don’t think I was treated fairly overall, because one of the points my attorney is making and has requested paperwork to look into is why four other people who were arrested with me that same night – who put stickers on an ad at another subway station – why they received DATs [Desk Appearance Tickets] and were sent home and I spent the night in jail.”

The paperwork Cohen is interested in obtaining includes the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s contract with Pamela Geller and files they believe might exist within the Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Eltahawy said that since the September incident she has been invited to tag similar posters put up by Geller’s group in other cities in the US including Washington DC, Portland and Chicago – where the ads can currently be found on city buses.

“I wanted to take protest back to where it is, which is direct action, not just whining and being active on Twitter,” Eltahawy said. “And the fact that people are thinking about how they can challenge racism and bigotry is gratifying.”

But Islam is not a race, and Islamofascism is the bigotry we oppose, Mona. Or are you too brainwashed to notice?

A video posted online by the New York Post shows Eltahawy taking a can of pink spray paint to the ads while a poster supporter tries to prevent the act. The two argue before Eltahawy is arrested and escorted out of the station by police.

Eltahawy said she originally intended to spray-paint ‘racist’ on the ad, but her limited graffiti skills prevented the act.

“I’m quite obviously very bad at tagging, and I would gladly take lessons” said Eltahawy.

The MTA originally ruled that the posters were demeaning and would not be permitted in the city’s subways. The anti-Muslim group then took the agency to court that ruled the statements are “political” and protected by the first amendment’s guarantee for free speech.

A day after Eltahawy was released from jail, the MTA revised its standards for subway advertisements that contain viewpoints on political, religious or moral issues to include a disclaimer that reads: “This is a paid advertisement sponsored by [sponsor]. The display of this advertisement does not imply MTA’s endorsement of any views expressed.”

Too small? Click here This is a satirical website. None of what you read here has anything to do with Islam, because Islam is a Religion of Peace. Everybody knows that good Muslims never do the things they do, (because Allah does it for them, Quran 8:12) and we know that only our misperceptions, ignorance and stereotyping of Islam makes Muslims chop off heads, kill and rape women and children, bomb subways, buses, nightclubs and fly jets into buildings. If it wasn't for the media and da Jooozzz, we wouldn't even know its happening. We welcome open, honest, thoughtful, and vigorous discussion in the comments threads, so do yourself a favour and don't accuse us of being 'haters' because we are loving, tolerant people. Don't curse us, don't threaten us with death or hellfire, and don't accuse us of being "just like the terrorists" because we don't do to Muslims what they do to us or to themselves. Yes, we know that only idiots oppose Islam and sensible people submit, but  you should know that we are ignorant bigots, hypocrites and Islamophobes, and we prefer to remain that way... But since you are forcing yourselves (and your abhorrent belief-system on us) we will defend ourselves, because we must. Avoid tu quoque and ad hominem attacks. Don't bother with circular reasoning either, we been there, done it.  If you annoy us, you will be banned and your posts summarily deleted. Try to add to the discussion, don't try to sell snake oil, don't try to cover us with Islamic shrouds of kitman and taqiyya, don't bother with da'awa, (we've heard it before) don't spam us with long pieces of cut & paste, write in English, try to tell the truth, (we know that's hard for you because you are all pathological liars) but the truth will set you free, try it! One more thing: don't think you can post here under multiple monikers. You will quickly be disappeared! The same goes for trufers and conspiracy kooks: you get one chance, one time. Blow it out of your ass if you must; put your stupidity on display. But you won't be back, trust me on that. Take a deep breath before you post, try to make some sense, do not just vent, do not make a fool of yourself and if you prove us wrong you can earn 10 Islamic dollars for your piggy bank. Deal?

Just another Pharisee …

political correctness = sanctimony

leftist posters should be defaced with “VOTE FOR US OR WE WILL REPLACE YOU”.

Yes, Mona , that perfect example of a “human rights crusader”, has vowed to fight against the TRUTH wherever it’s published. You go girl! The rest of us will sit back & laugh as you’re once again carted off to jail.

Her actions are dubious, sanctimonious (as Pray Hard aptly stated.) and hypocritical. Apparently, only her ‘truth’ is the one that matters.

Her actions were not about the Geller signs, but it was really about Mona. Specifically, Mona being allowed back into the fold of the Islamafascist community who black balled her after she spoke out on her violent treatment and sexual abuse in her home country Egypt.

In other words she was too loud and too honest about how Muslims really behave towards women. As a women she wore out her usefulness when she spot lighted her violent treatment at the hands of Muslim men. She forgot her place and what women are expected to accept under Islamic rule.

On her arrest in Egypt, she tweeted. “I AM FREE,” she wrote on her Twitter page just after noon local time. “12 hours with Interior Ministry bastards and military intelligence combined. Can barely type — must go xray arms after CSF [Central Security Forces] pigs beat me,” she tweeted. ”

and…Eltahawy said that while she was in custody “5 or 6 surrounded me, groped and prodded my breasts, grabbed my genital area and I lost count how many hands tried to get into my trousers.”

Mona found out the hard way, that no one in the Muslim community cares if your a Muslim activist when you are too honest and critical about ugly Muslim cultural norms.

Pam’s too kind (or canny)! I’m totally against moslems, because it’s inane to pretend to hate national socialism, but like the nazis, and it’s moronic to pretend to hate the Mafia, but still proclaim Mafiosis are the bomb!

And clearly Mona’s proud of acting like a savage barbarian.

Mona saved us!

She did it all for the ‘greater good’- or something:

Pro-Hamas lawyer for anti-free speech vandal Mona Eltahawy claims she vandalized pro-freedom ad to head off “a much more explosive response”

“If not for her pink paint protest, the posters could otherwise have ‘triggered a much more explosive response.’” So now Mona Eltahawy’s anti-free speech vandalism is some kind of self-sacrificial act for peace, heading off a riot or a terror attack or who knows what. So claims the appalling pro-Hamas lawyer Stanley Cohen, whom fascist vandal Mona Eltahawy has retained in her vandalism case.

Eltahawy and Cohen claim the ad is “racist” for calling jihadists who target innocent civilians “savages.” Yet they said not a word when Palestinian Islamic Jihad promised a new, “savage” round of jihad, or when Hillary Clinton, the New York Times, the New York Daily News, and the New York Post all used the same word of jihadis. As always with the Left and Islamic supremacists, their moral indignation is selective, self-serving, and stunningly hypocritical.

See also “Mona Eltahawy Coulda Been A Contender (Instead of a Bum Which Is What She Is).”

“Activist busted for spray-painting anti-jihad subway poster promises to take case to trial,” by Laura Italiano in the New York Post, November 29 (thanks to Pamela Geller):

The Egyptian-born activist arrested for blasting pink spray paint on what she saw as an offensive Times Square subway poster — because it called the jihadist enemies of Israel “savages” — is promising to take the case to trial.
Mona Eltahawy, 45, came to Manhattan Criminal Court for a routine appearance on her misdemeanor graffiti case today and declined Manhattan prosecutors’ no-jail offer, which would have allowed her to plead guilty to a simple disorderly conduct violation.

Under the rejected deal, Eltahawy would have had to pay $248 restitution to the MTA, for alleged damage to their property, along with $794 restitution to a passerby who’d tried to stop the defacement, getting blasted herself in the process.

The bulk of the $794 would have compensated the passerby for damage to her Gucci eyeglasses, Eltahawy’s lawyer, Stanley Cohen, explained after court.

“I acted out of principle and I did what I believe is right,” Eltahawy said as she left the courtroom, calling the posters “racist,” when asked why she wants to take the case to trial.

The ads were paid for by the pro-Israel American Freedom Defense Initiative and read in part, “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel, defeat jihad.”

“She’s a person of principal [sic] who’s committed to truth and justice and peace, and stands by her powerful statement [of spray-painting the poster] which actually defused the situation,” her lawyer told reporters.

If not for her pink paint protest, the posters could otherwise have “triggered a much more explosive response,” he said. “People saw someone stood up and spray painted this ugly, racist sign and said ‘khalas,’” the lawyer said, using the Arabic word for “enough.”…

…………………………

Actually, this claim says even more than that. What Stanley Cohen is doing—although I doubt very much that he realizes it, the ignorant tool—is making a case for Shari’ah law, where any critics of Islam are forcibly silenced.

And they are silenced for two reasons: firstly, to save Islam from “insult”. But secondly—and this is mostly tacitly understood—that if they *weren’t silenced*, that pious Muslims would take it upon themselves to riot and murder—in other words, that “much more explosive response” that Cohen warns about.

Indeed, under Shari’ah, victims are not even allowed to point out how violent Islam is, lest Muslims react violently.

The idea that Muslims themselves should be held responsible for their own savagery, of course, is never considered.
