Congress to blame if  the Pakis don’t get billions in tribute:

Obama Administration says limits on jizya to Pakistan can hurt terror war in Afghanistan

“The Obama administration has warned Congress that some of the restrictions it has placed on Pakistan can jeopardise the US-led campaign against terrorism in Afghanistan.” And hey, that is going so wonderfully well, we wouldn’t want to do anything to jeopardize it. Just remember how cooperative the Pakistanis were in taking out bin Laden, and in the resistance to jihad in general. Got to keep the money flowing to them! “White House warns Congress against Pakistan curbs,” by Anwar Iqbal forDawn, December 1

WASHINGTON: The Obama administration has warned Congress that some of the restrictions it has placed on Pakistan can jeopardise the US-led campaign against terrorism in Afghanistan.

Pakistan: Islamophobes murder 456 Shi’ites in 2012 — no, wait…

“There is one treatment for Shiites — it is called jihad”

Pakistan: Muslims destroy Hindu temple

demolished-temple.jpg

“Every month there is an incident, like taking property of Hindu people or forced conversion of Hindu girls.” Islamic Tolerance Alert from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan: “Pakistani Hindus protest destruction of temple,” from AP, December 2 (thanks to all who sent this in):

KARACHI: Pakistani Hindus on Sunday protested the destruction of a Hindu temple in Karachi. The temple was razed, along with some nearby homes, by a builder.Minority Hindus have complained of increasing harassment and discrimination in Muslim-dominated Pakistan in recent years, including the destruction or desecration of their places of worship.

Update:

Gov’t denies role in demolition

Despite evidence, military official denies temple demolition

Deities lined up among the debris in Soldier Bazaar, where a couple of houses and the century-old Shri Rama Pir Mandir were demolished on Saturday by a private builder:

The Military Estate Office, which assisted a private builder in the demolition of a Hindu temple and houses in Karachi’s Soldier Bazaar, on Saturday continue to deny that the pre-partition house of worship was razed in the operation.

Despite debris lying all over the compound, the president’s notice and the angered Hindu community’s protests, Director of Military Lands and Cantonment Zeenat Ahmed insisted that the Shri Rama Pir Mandir has not been damaged.

“Of what I have been told by my people, the temple is still standing and is untouched,” she said.  The director said that the deities were all in sound condition. “The people who had deities in their homes had deliberately put them in front of the debris of the damaged houses. This was done to present a wrong picture that the temple was destroyed.”

Pakistan: Man charged with burning Qur’an dies in custody under mysterious circumstances

And here again, there is no proof that he actually burned a copy of the Qur’an. It is unlikely that anyone would actually do such a thing in Pakistan, since the result would be near-certain torture and death. On the other hand, the Qur’an is so obviously an instrument of repression and injustice in Pakistan that maybe there really is a steady stream of people there ready to grab the matches. “Mysterious circumstances: Blasphemy accused dies in custody,” by Asad Kharal in the Express Tribune, December 3 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Too small? Click here This is a satirical website. None of what you read here has anything to do with Islam, because Islam is a Religion of Peace. Everybody knows that good Muslims never do the things they do, (because Allah does it for them, Quran 8:12) and we know that only our misperceptions, ignorance and stereotyping of Islam makes Muslims chop off heads, kill and rape women and children, bomb subways, buses, nightclubs and fly jets into buildings. If it wasn't for the media and da Jooozzz, we wouldn't even know its happening. We welcome open, honest, thoughtful, and vigorous discussion in the comments threads, so do yourself a favour and don't accuse us of being 'haters' because we are loving, tolerant people. Don't curse us, don't threaten us with death or hellfire, and don't accuse us of being "just like the terrorists" because we don't do to Muslims what they do to us or to themselves. Yes, we know that only idiots oppose Islam and sensible people submit, but  you should know that we are ignorant bigots, hypocrites and Islamophobes, and we prefer to remain that way... But since you are forcing yourselves (and your abhorrent belief-system on us) we will defend ourselves, because we must. Avoid tu quoque and ad hominem attacks. Don't bother with circular reasoning either, we been there, done it.  If you annoy us, you will be banned and your posts summarily deleted. Try to add to the discussion, don't try to sell snake oil, don't try to cover us with Islamic shrouds of kitman and taqiyya, don't bother with da'awa, (we've heard it before) don't spam us with long pieces of cut & paste, write in English, try to tell the truth, (we know that's hard for you because you are all pathological liars) but the truth will set you free, try it! One more thing: don't think you can post here under multiple monikers. You will quickly be disappeared! The same goes for trufers and conspiracy kooks: you get one chance, one time. Blow it out of your ass if you must; put your stupidity on display. But you won't be back, trust me on that. Take a deep breath before you post, try to make some sense, do not just vent, do not make a fool of yourself and if you prove us wrong you can earn 10 Islamic dollars for your piggy bank. Deal?

““The Obama administration has warned Congress that some of the restrictions it has placed on Pakistan can jeopardise the US-led campaign against terrorism in Afghanistan.”

In other words, if the US does not pay up, the Pakistani’s will be open about their duplicity towards the US, and American operations in Afghanistan.

Hopefully, the US congress will not give in to manipulation.
