That Egyptian Constitution (Under Sharia)

White House downplays Islamic supremacist, pro-Sharia power grab in Egypt

No surprises here. Not long ago the Obama regime had the hide to tell us that the MuBro’s are “largely secular”.

What else can the Obama Administration do? It hailed the coming of “democracy” to Egypt; now it can only hope that few Americans notice that what is developing there is anything but democracy. Of course, the mainstream media will do its bit to make Obama look as good as possible and keep Americans clueless and complacent.

“White House downplays Islamist push for power in Egypt,” by Neil Munro in the Daily Caller, December 5: JW

New Egyptian Constitution Is Recipe for Tyranny  (Moonbattery)

If you are ever tempted to take liberal claims to mean well at face value, consider this. Since September 11 and even before, they have sided with Muslims against the West at every opportunity. They elected the absurdly unqualified Barack Hussein Obama not only because his father was an African communist, but because they liked the sound of his name. Obama knifed our key ally Hosni Mubarak in the back, helping turn over Egypt to the Muslim Brotherhood. Egypt’s new rulers have prepared a draft constitution that is based on “principles of Islamic law.” A few highlights:

A new article states that Egypt’s most respected Islamic institution, Al-Azhar, must be consulted on any matters related to Shariah, a measure critics fear will lead to oversight of legislation by clerics. (Continued below the fold)

Eileen F. Toplansky from the American Thinker:

A little Egyptian girl born today named Jendayi (which means thankful) will one day grow to know only the following sharia-enforced laws, as elucidated by Syed Kamran Mirza.

  • A marriage that can take place any time after birth and be consummated at the age of eight or nine years old.
  • If Jendayi should be rebellious in any way, this gives her husband permission to beat her and keep her from leaving the home.
  • Since there is no common property between a husband and a wife, if the husband dies, his property does not automatically go to the wife after his death.
  • A woman inherits half what a man inherits.
  • A man has the right to have up to four wives, and the wife has no right to divorce him even if he is polygamous.
  • The dowry is given in exchange for the woman’s sexual organs. Thus, Jendayi is objectified as simply a reproductive machine.
  • A man is allowed to have sex with slave women. Indeed, slavery still exists in the Arab world.
  • If the enslaved woman is married, her own marriage is annulled.
  • The testimony of a woman in court is half the value of a man — that is, two women are equal to one man.
  • A woman loses custody of her children if she remarries.
  • A rapist may be required only to pay the bride-money or dowry without marrying the rape victim.
  • A Muslim woman must cover every inch of her body which is considered “Awrah,” or a sexual organ.
  • A Muslim man is forgiven if he kills his wife caught in the act of adultery. However, the opposite is not true for women.
  • The perpetrators of genocide, mass rape, and plunder will not be punished if they repent.
  • To prove rape, a woman must have four male witnesses. Furthermore, any woman’s testimony is not accepted.
  • A Muslim man’s life is worth 33 times that of a Hindu woman in paying “blood money” or compensation.

Besides these draconian indignities, freedom of speech is non-existent.  Even to sing any “modern music including any sexually explicit music of any kind is strictly prohibited and punishable by the Islamic sharia code of justice.”  Jendayi will have little to be thankful for.

Yet there is nary a peep from Obama, who “refuses to criticize Egypt’s anti-free speech, and anti-women’s rights constitution, but finds time to criticize new Israeli housing projects.”  So while the sinister threats to women, Christians, and any opposed to sharia imposition continue, Barack Hussein Obama remains mute.

Continued: Bader Ginsburg & the sharia:

Let’s hope the “Arab Spring” Egypt isn’t as much worse than Iran as Obama is worse than Jimmy Carter.

The draft contains no article specifically establishing equality between men and women because of disputes over the phrasing. However, it maintains that a woman must balance her duties toward family and outside work, suggesting that she can be held accountable if her public role conflicts with her family duties. No such article is mentioned for men.

Equality for women, like all liberal issues, is not really an issue. Otherwise Islam is the last thing libs would find appealing.

An article bans insulting or defaming the prophet and messengers, but is vague about what constitutes an insult, raising concerns of restrictions to freedom of expression.

When in doubt, if Al Qaeda wouldn’t like it, then don’t say it — or you might end up in jail, like a certain video producer in California.

Military tribunals will continue. There is no ban on slavery.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be pleased to learn that Egyptians took her advice not to base their constitution on ours.

Too small? Click here This is a satirical website. None of what you read here has anything to do with Islam, because Islam is a Religion of Peace. Everybody knows that good Muslims never do the things they do, (because Allah does it for them, Quran 8:12) and we know that only our misperceptions, ignorance and stereotyping of Islam makes Muslims chop off heads, kill and rape women and children, bomb subways, buses, nightclubs and fly jets into buildings. If it wasn't for the media and da Jooozzz, we wouldn't even know its happening. We welcome open, honest, thoughtful, and vigorous discussion in the comments threads, so do yourself a favour and don't accuse us of being 'haters' because we are loving, tolerant people. Don't curse us, don't threaten us with death or hellfire, and don't accuse us of being "just like the terrorists" because we don't do to Muslims what they do to us or to themselves. Yes, we know that only idiots oppose Islam and sensible people submit, but  you should know that we are ignorant bigots, hypocrites and Islamophobes, and we prefer to remain that way... But since you are forcing yourselves (and your abhorrent belief-system on us) we will defend ourselves, because we must. Avoid tu quoque and ad hominem attacks. Don't bother with circular reasoning either, we been there, done it.  If you annoy us, you will be banned and your posts summarily deleted. Try to add to the discussion, don't try to sell snake oil, don't try to cover us with Islamic shrouds of kitman and taqiyya, don't bother with da'awa, (we've heard it before) don't spam us with long pieces of cut & paste, write in English, try to tell the truth, (we know that's hard for you because you are all pathological liars) but the truth will set you free, try it! One more thing: don't think you can post here under multiple monikers. You will quickly be disappeared! The same goes for trufers and conspiracy kooks: you get one chance, one time. Blow it out of your ass if you must; put your stupidity on display. But you won't be back, trust me on that. Take a deep breath before you post, try to make some sense, do not just vent, do not make a fool of yourself and if you prove us wrong you can earn 10 Islamic dollars for your piggy bank. Deal?

“according to them hamas are for “human rights”. yep they said that with a straight face”

But of course! They are right. Because they believe only muslims are human, and ‘human rights’ means they have the right to force the sharia on others. You need to learn to speak their lingo….

Yeah well I agree, but I felt this thread is a bit bias? I do not encourage an Islam rule in any way. I myself am an atheist post-Muslim.
And come on. Why shouldn’t the Israeli housing projects be criticized?
I’m a very objective person but hey, my grandfather lived in Palestine, and now I have no home country, no rights, no shit. So yeah, I at least sympathize with Palestinian people when they get kicked out of their homes, towns and the whole country for whatever reason. For god’s sake this is sad, both sides are sad, you can’t seriously take sides here :(

I know you don t agree, I know you dream about democracy and peace and love …, but IT DOES NOT apply everywhere,it does NOT work and the countries went and will go from the fry-pan into the fire of UNDAMENTALISM AND ISLAM
