After being pressed today by Republican Senator Ron Johnson to explain how it was that over the course of weeks, the Obama Administration stood by an absurd story claiming that four Americans were murdered in Libya due to a spontaneous protest gone bad, outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton played the indignation card.

Because she obviously had no answer to justify the ongoing White House deception, Secretary Clinton chose theatrics over a straight answer and clarity.

Poor Condi Rice. Why didn’t she pull this during the 9/11 hearings? “What difference does it make what we knew and when we knew it, Senator? 3,000 Americans that September morning!”

Yeah, that would’ve have gone over real well with the media.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, testifying to the House Foreign Relations Committee, claims that she never cited the Youtube clip “The Innocence of Muslims” as the cause of 2012′s terrorist attack in Benghazi, but Clinton’s September 14, 2012 references to the Internet video can be seen here, beginning at 8:44.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing to testify about the 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that left four men dead, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

And although Clinton’s testimony offered very little in the area of new information, a notable moment occurred when Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) repeatedly asked whether the attack was carried out by an organized group of terrorists or whether it was a spontaneous riot — as the White House initially claimed.

“[W]e were misled that there were supposedly protests and then something sprang out of that, an assault sprang out of that and that was easily ascertained that that was not the fact and the American people could have known that within days,” Sen. Johnson said. “And they didn’t know that.”

Clinton was not happy with his line of questioning.

“With all respect, the fact is we have four dead Americans was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans,” Clinton responded.

“What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, senator,” she added.

Unsurprisingly, many right-leaning pundits and analysts responded to Clinton’s “what difference does it make?” line with anger and shock, but perhaps the strongest reaction came from conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.

“This is flat-out bullsh*t! What did she do to save anybody? Can anyone cite a single thing? She didn’t do anything to save anybody!” Limbaugh said, challenging her claim that she did everything in her power to help Ambassador Stevens. “The ‘difference’ is that you were lying through your teeth about it, Mrs. Clinton, and you knew it!”

“What difference does it make the administration lied to the American people? What difference does it make the president lied to the American people? What difference does it make Jay Carney lied to the American people? What difference does it make that Susan Rice lied to the American people on six different shows (or five)? What difference does it make that Hillary Clinton lied to the American people?

“What difference does any of it make?” he stressed.

The conservative radio host continued in the vein, challenging Clinton’s flippant tone and reprimanding the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for spending more time heaping praise on her than asking tough questions about the September, 11, 2012 attack.
