“Extremist, Hardline Buddhists” Put an End to the Halal Racket in Sri Lanka

The soldiers of allah quickly back off when  “Extremist, Hardline Buddhists” showed them which way the wind blows, LOL!

I think we need  to import some of them if it helps to regain our sanity:

Faced with stiff opposition by hardline Buddhist majority groups, a Sri Lankan Muslim group, which has been issuing the Halal certificates to businesses, has said it would now withdraw the practise.

The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU), Sri Lanka’s main body of Islamic scholars, said that Halal certification would now be limited to export products meant for Islamic nations.

“We are giving up what is very important to Muslims. We are making a sacrifice in the interest of peace and ethnic harmony,” Rizwe Mufthi of the ACJU said.

They would never do that if they had the upper hand.

In Spain, unfortunately, they haven’t got the message yet: “Islam, halal is a global concept”

Spain Muslims Introduce Halal Culture

Muslims should only eat meat from livestock slaughtered by a sharp knife from their necks, and the name of Allah, the Arabic word for God, must be mentioned. …  More integration through apostasy at OnIslam (Mullah)

The Buddhist extremist Bodu Bala Sena (Buddhist Force) has been running a vocal protest campaign to force the end to Halal certification. Their main grouse was that non-Muslims are being forced to consume Halal certified products.

Mufthi said that consumer products in the super market shelves would no longer carry the Halal certification. As an immediate reaction to BBS campaign, the ACJU had last month said that Halal products would only be offered to Muslims, which was dismissed out of hand by the BBS.

Lanka’s leading trade chamber, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, said it was impractical to have Halal and non-Halal products from the same item.

Responding to another criticism that the Muslim scholars of ACJU were making money out of Halal certification, the body said the certificates from now on would be issued free of charge to those who cater to export orders.

Sensing racial tensions between the majority Sinhalese and the nine per cent Muslim minority over the issue, President Mahinda Rajapaksa appointed a special ministerial committee to recommend ways to nip it in the bud.

  1. Something else to think about.

If you put together the Hindu and Buddhist communities in Australia they comprise a bigger bloc – numbers-wise – than the Muslims.

AND they (Buddhists, and Hindus) are increasing faster, too. And a lot of them are refugees from Muslim persecution in Malaysia and Indonesia – and we have Hindus from Bangladesh too – and I get the impression that some of those have no illusions at all about Islam and Muslims.

For all the Muslim boasting about their numbers and their being ‘the fastest growing religion’, the actual fact is that in Australia they’re NOT the biggest non-Christian religion bloc, and they’re NOT growing the fastest.

If the Buddhists are finding their backbones – think not just of these folks in Sri Lanka who have nipped the halal racket in the bud, but think of that feisty monk in Burma who held up a placard stating bluntly, “The world is not only for Muslims” – and it carries over to the Buddhists here, then it could be very helpful.

    1. That’s the old ‘is the glass half full or is it half empty’ approach.

Unfortunately, neither the Buddhists or the Hindus are a political force, whereas the Muslim bloc can always be relied on.

But I give you this: we visited Burma in December 2012 and everyone we talked to, everyone, told us that Islam is “no good for Burma”, that they are Bangladeshi Muslims who have invaded the country and they made it clear that they want the Muslims out.

The OIC is pushing very hard to pitch their tent in Rangoon, but the military regime so far stood firm. ‘The Lady’, (Aung Sang Su Kiye) as she is known, is non-committal, which means she is also well aware of what Islam means for Buddhists.

Yes, we should shout it from the rooftops: “The world is not only for Muslims.”

  2. The Sinhalese majority government army slaughtered over 40,000 Tamil civilians in the guise of fighting terrorism and now the Bodu Balu Sena (Buddhist Dogs Association) is actively targetting eliminating Muslims from the Sri Lankan fabric. They will keep infringing Muslim’s rights until the Muslims, like the LTTE are forced to take up weapons, and that would then give them a free hand to slaughter the Muslims, who were their allies in the war against the 20% Tamils. By 2050, the Sinhalese will have no one to fight, and infighting can start.

  3. Muslims have been misled by their religious leaders. Muslims cannot think freely. Their consciousness has been killed and dead. They act blindly subjected to some strict rules. They think only Muslims should live in this World and there is no room for other religions and races. They have destroyed millions of innocents in the name of God and are continuing. Others have to face this threat. In Sri Lanka Bodu Bala Sena will lead it. But throught the World all other people of all other religions must join to defeat this ruthless menace.
