  1. Australian Vogue is also promoting gay marriage, and saying gays will do weddings better than straight people, who are all tasteless and hypocritical bogans. Oh, and polygamy is cool too: there are “Christian precedents” for it, donchaknow.

  2. I, and many gay folks stand with you on Islam, Multicultural extremism and Mass Immigration. But conflating gay equality with Islam is making you sound as cranky a right wing nutter as the rabid lefties youre lampooning Many, if not most Gay men and Lesbians are a part of the traditional Australian culture you’re defending. Same language; folklore; cultural heritage; upbringing; the same love of country, many of us vote conservative… and while I find your site a great antidote to PC media youre beginning to sound Islamic yourself. ourself.

  3. huh…? Sheikyermami your site is a refreshing antidote to PC media… but any conservative who conflates gay equality and out boy scouts as a declaration of cultural war as bad as Islam… well is as paranoid and nutty as the rabid lefties they deplore. Btw… the only out gay Liberal politician opposes Gay Marriage. Can we drop this bizarre GLBT + Islam conspiracy? Many of us are conservative. We have the same concerns on Islam; Immigration and PC distortion of issues. Gay Aussies have the same cultural heritage and love of country most Australians share.

    1. You are very welcome, Grant.

I am not a conservative who “conflates gay equality”, not at all. I simply reject having homo marriage rammed down my throat. I reject types like former Supreme Court Judge Michael Kirby who demands special rights for special interest groups, because for him ‘tolerance and acceptance is not enough’.

Not gonna happen. I reject children being inundated and indoctrinated with GLBT messages and cross-gender games; just like I reject sex education for primary school kids.

There is no bizarre GLBT + Islam conspiracy here. Homosexuals who don’t understand what awaits them under Islam equal females who think the burqa is a fashion statement and FGM a progressive rite of passage.

Tolerance and acceptance? No worries, mate. Not a worry.

How about tolerating and accepting that marriage is between a man and a woman?

  4. Hey Sheikh,

I actually agree with you. Marriage is a heterosexual institution oriented around raising children in a stable, loving home. That’s the ideal… i would rather we (gay folks) focused on creating our own forms of commitment and clarifying our ethics on many issues before we go campaigning on marriage. But I cannot masee why it draws such a massive outpouring of scorn, hate and fear. tbc

  5. Commitment, fidelity, love… no sexual.orientation has a monoploy on these. I dont agree that Kirby is asking for “special rights” but this is another issue.
We want more than acceptance and tolerance. We want to be liked and loved. 🙂 Maybe when Mr and Mrs Sheikyermanyi’s childten grow up gay or lesbian you may feel differently.
Anyway – keep up the good work on Islam.

  6. ps The French have always had a flair for the Dramatique… but topping yourself in Notre Dame over 2 queens in.Marseille hitching the knot?? That poor guys family. There are much bigger and pressing issues.

    1. “There are much bigger and pressing issues.”

That’s exactly how I feel. I hate being distracted.

Whenever there is a big story in the media, look for the story they’re trying to distract you from!

  7. The ugly side of ‘gay’

In February, Aaron and Melissa Klein, owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, an Oregon-based bakery, found themselves at the center of a media firestorm after refusing to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple’s ceremony. Nearly four months later, the small business continues to receive threatening and harassing phone calls and e-mails, as they grapple with the ongoing fall-out from their controversial decision. This week, they spoke with TheBlaze about the ongoing drama.
