Obama said he won’t force Christian churches to hold gay weddings.  Not yet, anyway.

The Examiner reported:

President Obama, in his statement hailing the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act, promised that he wouldn’t try to force religious institutions to conduct gay marriages.

Imagine how the Founding Fathers would weep to see their masterwork twisted to support the depraved liberal agenda. John Adams may have said it best:

In the end, a call to Eric Holder should take care of it. As head of the Philadelphia chapter of the New Black Panthers, Shabazz is an important in guy in an organization with which Holder’s boss is on excellent terms (see here and here and here).

Barry Soetoro aka Hussein Obama slams climate ‘deniers’ as ‘flat earthers’

Actually, even the Flat Earth Society believes in climate change

Yes, such a group exists. It thinks the world is flat — but also getting warmer

In his big speech on climate change today, President Obama mocked Republicans who deny the existence of man-made global warming by derisively referring to them as members of “the Flat Earth Society.”

As it turns out, there is a real Flat Earth Society and its president thinks that anthropogenic climate change is real. In an email to Salon, presidentDaniel Shenton said that while he “can’t speak for the Society as a whole regarding climate change,” he personally thinks the evidence suggests fossil fuel usage is contributing to global warming.

  1. For a moral people – AND – for a religious people, did he think they were non-overlapping magisteria?

  2. Freedom without true Ethics is like a gold ring in a pig’s snout.
However not all religious people are moral.
The independent “Magisteria” of Science has proved excellent in many “exact” disciplines but in Humanities and Ethics the mixed outcome is a “Cilecca” cocktail.
Science is inclined to justify all crimes as a mechanical effect of natural or social causes. Slowly its “Magisteria” becomes a monopoly until the “natural” changes take over while we are asleep.
Most of the incompetence relate to Theology and Anthropology – which are in practise the most important disciplines besides Philosophy in theory. Once a fake “Anthropos” and a dead God are delivered to Society… bottomless surprises will overtake fiction and imagination.

  3. Anti-discrimination lawsuits against churches will proceed, but nobody will be suing mosques to force them to do same-sex marriages.

A Muslim nikah (marriage) is simply a business contract followed by a public announcement. AFAIK it need not take place in a mosque.

  4. Alexander Solzhenitsyn on Courage

no weapons, no matter how powerful, can help the West until it overcomes its loss of willpower. In a state of psychological weakness, weapons become a burden for the capitulating side. To defend oneself, one must also be ready to die; there is little such readiness in a society raised in the cult of material well-being. Nothing is left, then, but concessions, attempts to gain time and betrayal. Thus at the shameful Belgrade conference free Western diplomats in their weakness surrendered the line where enslaved members of Helsinki Watchgroups are sacrificing their lives.

Western thinking has become conservative: the world situation should stay as it is at any cost, there should be no changes. This debilitating dream of a status quo is the symptom of a society which has come to the end of its development. But one must be blind in order not to see that oceans no longer belong to the West, while land under its domination keeps shrinking. The two so-called world wars (they were by far not on a world scale, not yet) have meant internal self-destruction of the small, progressive West which has thus prepared its own end. The next war (which does not have to be an atomic one and I do not believe it will) may well bury Western civilization forever.

Facing such a danger, with such historical values in your past, at such a high level of realization of freedom and apparently of devotion to freedom, how is it possible to lose to such an extent the will to defend oneself?

The “next war” that Alexander Solzhenitsyn referred to in 1978, is already here, and the soldiers of the future rulers are also in the UK in millions.

  5. Alexander Solzhenitsyn

In keeping silent about evil, in burying it so deep within us that no sign of it appears on the surface, we are implanting it, and it will rise up a thousand fold in the future. When we neither punish nor reproach evildoers, we are not simply protecting their trivial old age, we are thereby ripping the foundations of justice from beneath new generations.

If I were asked today to formulate as concisely as possible what was the main cause of the ruinous revolution that swallowed up some 60 million of our people, I could not put it more accurately than to repeat: ‘Men had forgotten God; that is why all this has happened.’
