Here is a more serious case:
Bishop Kieran Conry of Arundel and Brighton has written a pastoral letter urging Catholics in his diocese to reach out to Muslims.
In the letter he quoted from the Second Vatican Council’s declaration on non-Christian religions, Nostra Aetate, which said: “The Catholic Church rejects nothing of what is true and holy in these religions.”
“These religions” means Islam of course, and the bishop’s claim that there is something “true and holy” in this religion is a clear case of abject dhimmitude.
It gets worse:
“Very often our image of Islam is simply the one presented by the media, and how often do we complain that the media view distorts the reality of the Catholic Church? We must not in our minds associate the word ‘Muslim’ with any of the negative and pejorative terms often linked to it in the media.”
A dimbulb like this should not be in a position where he can influence gullible people. He is a danger to himself and those Christians whose trust he doesn’t deserve.
“They removed eyes, ears, nose. They get your hand and sharpen it like a pencil then they tell you to write your name with the blood.” So reported the Daily Mail.Â
The media are self-enforcing Shariah: “Islam,” “Muslim” and “jihad” have been censored from 90 percent of newspaper reports on the Kenya and Pakistan attacks, despite the murderers’ exhortations.
Which is more monstrous: these devout Muslims slaughtering in the cause of Islam or the media’s cover-up of the motive? No media are reporting this, with just a few exceptions. They are portraying the jihadists as thrill-seeking youth pursuing “the real Disneyland” of African jihad. They refer to these savages as “militants” and “gunmen.”
The Daily Mail reported that “the Muslims who stormed the Kenyan shopping mall reportedly burnt victims’ faces and cut off their hands in an attempt to conceal their identities before piling the bodies up by the main door to slow the progress of the rescue teams. One security officer said the mall had been turned into a slaughterhouse (an abattoir) within half an hour as the jihadists went on the rampage.”–Continue reading “Pamela Geller, WND: “Kenya: Jihad torture and jihad denial”” »
Not even the mainstream media could keep people from having learned about the latest Islamic outreach initiative in Mullah Obama’s ancestral homeland Kenya:
Soldiers told of the horrific torture meted out by terrorists in the Nairobi mall massacre … with claims hostages were dismembered, had their eyes gouged out and were left hanging from hooks in the ceiling.
Men were said to have been castrated and had fingers removed with pliers before being blinded and hanged.
Children were found dead in the food court fridges with knives still embedded in their bodies, it was claimed.
According to a Kenyan doctor who asked not to be named, probably out of fear of retaliation by Muslims,
‘They removed eyes, ears, nose. They get your hand and sharpen it like a pencil then they tell you to write your name with the blood. They drive knives inside a child’s body.
‘Actually if you look at all the bodies, unless those ones that were escaping, fingers are cut by pliers, the noses are ripped by pliers. Here it was pain.’ …
During the firefight, hostages reportedly had their throats slashed from ear to ear and were thrown screaming from third-floor balconies as the siege came to a bloody end. …
Shell-shocked Kenyan troops said the inside of the Israeli-run mall resembled a ‘scene from a horror movie’ with blood spattered everywhere and dead bodies strewn across the floor.
No need to make a big deal about it. There have been at least 21,659 lethal Muslim terror attacks since September 11, 2001, what’s one more? A spoof story by National Report that Obama declared November to be Muslim Appreciation Month is at least as believable as it would be to see Obama or any other member of the liberal establishment hold this death cult to account for its evil, if only rhetorically. Less believable still would be a sincere condemnation of Islamic violence by the apocryphal “moderate Muslims” we hear so much about.
There is much confusion in the church:
….we have to stick to dialogue, because the alternative to dialogue, conflict, is unthinkable. But what happens when we have no true partners in dialogue? What do we do then? Besides which, is the emphasis on dialogue really relevant to our present concerns – which are, how do we as Catholics face up to the challenge of Islam? In other words, we need an intra-Catholic dialogue so that we can get our heads around how we should think about Islam. And this dialogue among ourselves needs to be robust.
Time is running out, people. Good luck with your “robust dialogue” …..
