The ABC publishedÂ this reportÂ earlier today:
New details have emerged about asylum seeker claims that Australian sailorsÂ mistreated themÂ during a boat interception operation earlier this month.Â
In fact, asÂ Andrew Bolt points out, the report identified no mistreatment at all and actually called into question previous ABC coverage of claims from asylum seekers. And now the latest piece has beenÂ re-writtenÂ to omit that mistreatment allegation:
For us all, the ABC is a big part of our lives. Which is why I, like many Australians, believe that our national broadcaster should be left alone to continue its programs as it has in the past.
This is fantastic propaganda. Collings apparently believes that because the ABC put Big Ted on TV decades ago, it should be allowed to push claims in 2014 that Australian servicemen torture asylum seekers.
