Psychically marginal girls looking for love in all the wrong places…

A 19 year-old Denver woman and Muslim convert tried to join ISIS in Syria after meeting her Tunisian terrorist boyfriend online.

Conley, a Muslim convert, was arrested April 8 at Denver International Airport, telling agents she planned to live with a suitor she met online, apparently a Tunisian man who claimed to be fighting for an al-Qaida splinter group, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The militant group also known as ISIL or ISIS has recently overrun parts of Iraq and Syria.

The Tunisian Muslim batted the lashes of heavy-lidded liquid-brown eyes on Youtube — or was it Skype — and she fell for it, this semi-idiot, like so many before her, including that other Colleen, this one from Cork, Anne-Marie Murphy by name, who was surprised to find that among the carefully-wrapped gifts Nizar Hindawi, her “Palestinian” boyfriend, whose baby she was carrying, wanted her – flying El Al — to bring to his relatives in Israel, was a bomb, set to go off in flight. Lucky those terrible Israelis discovered it and saved her life and those of everyone else on the plane. It’s entered history — remember history? It’s coming back into fashion — as theHindawi Affair. I wonder if Anne-Marie Murphy was grateful. The details of that case were so melodramatic, and the modus operandi still so new, that many may remember it. But how many thousands of similar cases have there been since, of psychically marginal girls looking for love in all the wrong places, and with it, just like the male victims of Adult-Onset Islam, a Simple Solution To The Universe.
