Robert Spencer on the Kelly File discussing Texas Muhammad cartoon jihad attack
Kudos to Megyn Kelly who is increasingly “getting it.”
Last night Robert Spencer appeared on Megyn Kelly’s Kelly File on Fox News, discussing the jihad attack on our AFDI/Jihad Watch Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest.
More on this below the fold.
“We say to the defenders of the cross, the U.S., that future attacks are going to be harsher and worse,” the group said. “The Islamic State soldiers will inflict harm on you with the grace of God. The future is just around the corner.”
WaPo: JFK offers no apology after Lee Harvey Oswald shoots him in the head
It is unimaginable. The descent of the mainstream media into out-and-out pro-jihad agitation is complete. Two Islamic jihadists attempt to murder hundreds of people at our free speech event in Texas, and the Washington Post says that I “offer no apology.” I offer no apology? What apology exactly do I owe for almost being murdered?… See More
Dershowitz Clashes with CNN Guest After Saying Only Radical Muslims ‘Threaten’ Speech
(Mediaite) Alan Dershowitz clashed with a Muslim guest on CNN tonight after arguing that the only group today threatening violence to suppress free speech is radical Muslims. Dershowitz told Don Lemon there’s no real case for Pamela Geller‘s group “inciting” people, because if that was applied, “we would have no free speech [and] you could always, then, by threatening violence, end free speech.”
Amani Al-Khatahtbeh argued that it’s just as important to be concerned with “vitriolic rhetoric that we’re allowing to fly by under the guise of free speech” and asked about the people who might be threatened or targeted because of the rhetoric from Geller and others.
Dershowitz said, “The only people today who are threatening violence against others for expressing political views are radical Muslims.”
The two of them ended up clashing over that statement, with Al-Khatahtbeh calling that “extremely sweeping” and Dershowitz challenging her to “name another group that’s today attacking freedom of speech.”

(Mediaite) Hours after a shooting at a Muhammed cartoon event Garland, Texas that left three dead, including the gunmen, the event’s sponsor and American Freedom Defense Initiative president Pamela Geller battled CNN’s Alisyn Camerota over whether the incendiary event had provoked violence.
“Increasingly, we’re abridging our freedoms so as not to offend savages,” Geller alleged. “The very idea that if something offends me, or I’m insulted by something I’ll kill you and somehow this is okay with members of the elite media, and academia, is outrageous.”
Camerota read from the keynote speech given at the event disparaging Islam. Geller has made a career of warning of the “Islamization” of America; the Southern Poverty Law Center lists her as an extremist.
“He’s entitled to his opinion, end of story,” Geller said. “So what? So he said that. And frankly, what he said was true…The fact is that we need to have this discussion, there’s a problem in Islam.”
The conversation devolved into whether Geller had ever called Muslims “savages,” which she said she had done once in her life. She argued she criticized only Muslims who kill over their beliefs. “I am anti-jihad, I am anti-Sharia,” Geller said. “You, by spaying I paint with a broad brush, are saying all Muslims support jihad. Alisyn you sound very Islamaphobic.” It was that type of segment.
Garland Shooting: Elton Simpson is Suspect in Attack at Muhammad Carton Drawing in Texas |VIDEO
One of the suspects in the shooting in Garland, Texas, late Sunday has been identified as Elton Simpson, an Arizona man who was previously the subject of a terror investigation, according to a senior FBI official.
Officials believe Simpson is the person who sent out several Twitter messages prior to the attack on Sunday, in the last one using the hashtag #TexasAttack about half an hour before the shooting.
Followers of ISIS had been sending messages about the event in Texas for more than a week, calling for attacks. One referenced January’s Charlie Hebdo massacre in France and said it was time for “brothers” in the United States to do their part.
Simpson was well known to the FBI. Five years ago he was convicted for lying to federal agents about his plans to travel to Africa, but a judge ruled the government did not adequately prove he was going to join a terror group there.
