We are sailing, we are sailing….. (from Cairns to Syria in a tinnie!)

Five (Musel-)men arrested after their plan to flee to Syria to join ISIS by sailing from Cairns to Indonesia was revealed
Five more unrepresentative Muslims

Tiny, unrepresentative minority etc etc:

FIVE men who attempted to use a fishing boat to travel to Indonesia and join Islamic State terrorists were connected to smuggling networks that could take them to the war zone, police believe.

The men arrested in far North Queensland last night were of security interest to police and had previously had their passports cancelled.

Police say they were incredibly committed to joining the war zone.

AFP and local police arrested the men after reportedly fearing the men would not successfully make the voyage.

‘As this activity remains ongoing, further comment will be provided when it is appropriate to do so,’ an AFP spokeswoman told the publication.

  1. Why the hell did they stop the bastards
I would of put the boat in the water bought fuel for them and waved good bye

of some of the fuel may of had water in it just incase they got thirsty.

  2. A few years ago the AFP let a bunch of small time drug dealers fly to Indonesia knowing fully well that some if not all will eventually meet their death. And now they are keeping in the country people with Proven records of virulent hate, racism and genocidal tendencies.
    AARRGGHH……………

  3. It’s a pit they didn’t leave this bunch of deluded cretins to try to make it to Bamaga on the tip of Cape York. After Coen , the ‘road’ is just a track across rough terrain. Some of the river crossings tax even fully equipped 4 wd’s. There are a couple in particular where 2 wd cars simply cannot cross – even in dry times. The steep banks on either side are just dirt. Many a 4wd attempting to cross these comes to grief and has to wait hours for the next vehicle to come by and hope they have winches etc.

And getting a 7m boat on a trailer across? Forget it. There’s no towns there apart from Weipa off to the left and Coen , no places within 50km to walk to safety. They would have got stuck – and who is going to stop to help a group of bearded muslim lunatics?

Better to let them walk through mosquito infested tundra and jungle and hope they get dengue fever and tropical ulcers.

  4. Would like to know where they get their money from to buy the boat and 4wd – I doubt if any of them work. The Australian government got Thorne (and his brother) released from a Saudi jail.
