A Muslim born in the USA of Afghan parents who had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State killed at least 50 people in a terror attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando last night.
Since firearms were used, the Democrat Party and its subsidiary, the mainstream media, will blame the Second Amendment — never mind that the killer worked for a security firm and might have had access to firearms even if we didn’t — and use the bloodshed as a pretext to render us more defenseless against future attacks. But no amount of spin will prevent reasonable people from placing the blame where it belongs: on Islam.
Although the devoted Islamophiles Obama and Hillary refuse to even speak the words “Islamic terror” and would much rather ascribe the atrocity to political incorrectness or the right to bear arms, there is no denying what we are dealing with. From the liberal Washington Post:
The gunman, identified as 29-year-old Omar Mateen, apparently made a 911 call before the attack identifying himself and pledging allegiance to the leader of the Islamic State, according to U.S. law enforcement officials who asked not to be identified to discuss the ongoing investigation.
Mateen also made a reference to the 2013 bombing of the Boston Marathon during this call, officials said. Mateen was investigated by the FBI in 2014, but what triggered the probe and its scope were not immediately clear, officials said. The probe was closed the same year.
The Islamic State has taken credit for the attack, the largest mass shooting in US history. ISIS does not share the currently fashionable affection for homosexuals:
According to human rights groups and media reports, the Islamic State has repeatedly executed gay people and then released videos showing these gruesome executions.
Now they can indulge in these activities on American soil, with help from a quisling government that goes out of its way to import massive numbers of colonists from dysfunctional terrorist breeding grounds.
Ron Hopper of the FBI, the bureau leading the investigation, said Sunday they were still working to determine a motive.
Let’s provide Hopper with his very first clue. A Muslim cleric right there in the Orlando area calls for killing homosexuals on behalf of Islam:
But of course everyone knows the central motive, even the FBI. However, the Democrats in charge will go to any length of self-parody to prevent Islam from being cast in a negative light, just as they will go to any length of self-parody to extol and promote homosexuality. The obvious conflict will create ever deeper fault lines as large-scale Muslim immigration gives rise to more incidents like the massacre at Pulse.
Unsurprisingly, Omar Mateen was a registered Democrat, a trait he likely had in common with the vast majority of his victims.
The refusal of Democrat leaders to address or even acknowledge the danger posed by Islam is deepening a rift in America in general, playing into the hands of pandering demagogues like Donald Trump. If only we had responsible leadership, we wouldn’t be left to choose between the fools who effectively side with the terrorists and those who shout that no Muslims at all should be allowed into the country, a policy that stands no chance of being implemented and would not be suggested by someone serious about addressing the threat.
‘During a conference call with federal law enforcement officials a short time ago, Massachusetts State Police and other local law enforcement authorities learned that the Orlando nightclub gunman, during his rampage, pledged allegiance to ISIS and referenced the Tsarnaev brothers,’ state police spokesman David Procopio said in an e-mail.
The Tsarnaev brothers killed three people and injured more than 260 in the April 15, 2013, attack. Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, died four days later during a gun battle with police while Dzhokhar Tsaranev, now 22, has been sentenced to death for his role in the attack.
However Mateen’s father, Mir Seddique, told NBC News the attack was ‘nothing to do with religion’ and said his son became angry when he saw two men kissing in Miami several months ago.

Islamic state supporter slays 50 gays
This great horror – the slaughter of at least 50 gay men in Florida – is a warning made manifest.
The Islamic State group has publicly beheaded three men in northern Iraq, two of them for allegedly engaging in homosexual acts, according to photos shared on social media…
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the the deadliest mass shooting in US history and says the gunman who slaughtered at least 50 innocent party-goers in an Orlando gay club was one of its fighters.
Shooter Omar Mateen, 29, from Port St. Lucie in Florida, opened fire at Pulse night club in the early hours of this morning, killing at least 50 people and injuring 53 others.
The shooter who killed at least 50 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando has been identified as Omar Mateen, law enforcement sources told The Post.
Mateen was a U.S. citizen with no apparent criminal history, was born to Afghan parents in New York in 1986 and was living in Port St. Lucie, Fla., according to multiple media reports.
Mateen had committed himself to ISIS before carrying out the bloodiest mass murder in US history at a gay nightclub in Orlando on Sunday, federal officials said.
Mateen “made a pledge of allegiance to ISIS,” California Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, told CNN.
A law enforcement official said Mateen made a 911 call from the club, professing allegiance to the leader of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi…
The FBI said agents twice investigated Mateen, but closed the cases after interviewing him.
FBI agent Ronald Hopper said … agents first investigated Mateen after he made inflammatory comments to co-workers alleging possible ties to terrorists.
President Obama called the massacre an “act of terror” and an “act of hate.”…
“This massacre is a further reminder of how easy it is for someone to get their hands on a weapon that let’s them shoot people in a school, or in a house of worship, or movie theater, or in a nightclub,” the president said. “And we have to decide if that’s the kind of country we want to be, and to actively do nothing is a decision as well.”
Related. A failure of “cultural sensitivity training” is blamed for Australian soldiers concluding that those trying to kill them and the Afghans they’re protecting are driven by a dangerous faith.
It is time to remember the political leader who was murdered 14 years ago for warning of just this hatred:
Pim Fortuyn, the flamboyant Dutch politician … was one of the first to break the taboo and call attention to the deadly threat of Muslim immigration…. He was soon notorious for saying he wanted a “cold war” with Islam, which he called “an extraordinary threat” and “a hostile religion.”
When he was invited on talk shows, he was often treated like a lunatic, and was usually outnumbered by hostile opponents. However, Fortuyn, who was openly homosexual, had a suave debating style that often routed his opponents.
In one television debate, he flaunted his homosexuality at a Muslim cleric. When the imam responded with furious anti-homosexual invective, Fortuyn calmly explained to viewers that this is the kind of Trojan horse for intolerance the Dutch were letting into their country in the name of multiculturalism…
He said Muslims had no understanding democracy or of the rights of women, homosexuals, or minorities… Fortuyn started getting death threats, and at the time of the publication of his 2002 book, he was hit with a pie filled with feces and urine. He requested security guards, but the Dutch authorities refused to protect him…
On May 6, 2002–just 11 days before the election–Fortuyn gave a radio interview in the city of Hilversum, in which he discussed polls that suggested he might be forming the next government. When he left the studio, a man approached him in the parking lot and shot him in the head, chest and neck. Fortuyn died soon after. The murderer, Volkert van der Graaf, explained at trial that the rise of Fortuyn was like the rise of Nazism in the 1930s. He said he had murdered Fortuyn to stop him from exploiting Muslims as “scapegoats,” and for targeting “the weak members of society.”
