Erdogan slams petition endorsed by Gerard Depardieu and Nicolas Sarkozy to delete Quran verses
“No to freezing a single letter from the Koran, and those calling for this can go to hell.”– Dr. Abbas Shuman, deputy of Al-Azhar
French manifesto on Quran ‘barbarism, deviance’–Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag said the signatories “are the Western versions of ISIL” terrorists, suggesting that they too have distorted Islam.
Numan Kurtulmus, Turkey’s culture and tourism minister, said: “It is literally barbarism and deviance that 300 people, including former President Nicolas Sarkozy and former Prime Minister Manuel Valls, prepared a declaration demanding some expressions in the Quran be removed.”
‘Deviance’, I like that.
“I strongly condemn for the sake of their shabby political calculations this accusation of the Qur’an, the sole source of truth for the Islamic religion which means peace and of the members of this supreme religion,” Kurtulmus said, adding that he would not respect what he called a “fascist” declaration.
The lack of logic is mind numbing.
Now Erdogan is coming out with his own hissy fit.
“Racism?” WTF has skin colour got to do with the murderous verses in that dirty book that incites Mohammedans to kill unbelievers?
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday hit out at a French manifesto calling for certain passages of the Koran to be removed in response to rising anti-Semitism.
An open letter, published on April 22 in Le Parisien newspaper and signed by nearly 300, argued verses of the Koran calling for the “murder and punishment of Jews, Christians and disbelievers” should be removed because they are “obsolete”.
Signatories included former French president Nicolas Sarkozy and former prime minister Manuel Valls as well as intellectuals and other public figures such as actor Gerard Depardieu.
“Who are you to attack our scriptures? We know how vile you are,” Mr Erdogan retorted.
“Have they ever read their books, the Bible? Or the Torah?” Mr Erdogan asked, referring to the Christian and Jewish holy books, adding: “If they had read them, they probably would want to ban the Bible.”
That’s typical Mohammedan gibberish. The Quran is prescriptive. The Bible is descriptive. Jesus never called for jihad.
The signatories in the letter said “Islamist radicalisation” was to blame for what it described as a “quiet ethnic purging” in the Paris region, with abuse forcing Jewish families to move out.
A third of France’s record hate crimes target Jews, despite the community making up only 0.7 percent of the population.
But Mr Erdogan also pointed to Islamophobia in the West, saying Ankara had warned its partners of “Islamophobia, anti-Turkish feeling, xenophobia, racism”.
“Islamophobia” is a BS word concocted by the MuBros to stifle criticism of Islam. It is above everything an insult. It declares all infidels who object to the spread of Islam ‘phobic’, as mentally unstable.
Relations between Turkey and the West have been tense following the July 2016 failed coup but ties with France have been further strained in recent weeks.
There was no “failed coup” in Turkey. The Erdogan regime orchestrated a coup d’état to purge the opposition.
Tension rose after French President Emmanuel Macron offered to mediate between Turkey and outlawed Kurdish militants, an offer furiously rejected by Erdogan in March.
Macron is naive.
Despite the letter being published last month, the Turkish government first reacted at the weekend as the country gets ready for parliamentary and presidential polls in June.
Turkey’s Europe Minister Omer Celik said on Sunday the letter was “the most striking example of intellectual violence and barbarity”
Anything less than submission to the Islamic tsunami makes Mohammedans go apeshit. The rest is projection, as usual. But why is it that our politclowns don’t have the courage to tell these barbarians to go f*kc themselves?
