…and the lion sleeps with the lamb & the stupid gets worse by the day:
Christians are wearing hijabs in solidarity with Muslims during Ramadan.
Ramadan is known as a month of fasting for the Muslim community.
That doesn’t mean just abstaining from food and drink between early morning and sunset, but also giving up smoking, sexual activity and ‘sinful behaviour’ including swearing, lying and spreading gossip.
It’s also a time for being kind and charitable to others.
Based on the astronomical charts, Ramadan ends on the evening of June 14.
Now, mon-Muslim women across the world are wearing the hijab for 30 days.
It comes as part of the Ramadan Hijab challenge.
Nazna Khan, the founder, told Aljazeera : “This event is for those who want to experience the hijab for more than just one day in order to better understand what Muslim women go through on a daily basis.”
