Hamas Terrorist (minister) leaves Brussels after visa cancelled

AFP/File Photo: Palestinian government minister and Hamas member Bassem Naim,

Palestinian government minister and Hamas member Bassem Naim was forced to fly out of Brussels on Friday after Dutch authorities cancelled his visa, the Belgian interior ministry said.

Naim, the Palestinian sports and youth minister, had planned to travel on to the Netherlands for a conference on refugees.

Speaking to Arab news channel Al-Jazeera from his plane, he said he was stopped with a companion by police at Brussels airport, during a stopover, and told his Netherlands visa had been revoked.

Interior ministry spokesman Paul Van Tigchelt confirmed to AFP that the minister was intercepted at Brussels airport at the request of the Dutch authorities.

“We were informed by the Dutch authorities that the entry visas were issued in error and that the visas had been annulled,” he said.

Belgian police told him the justice ministry in the Netherlands had cancelled the visa because he was deemed “dangerous for the security of the Dutch people”, the minister told Al-Jazeera.

Naim left for Brussels from Cairo, according to officials in Egypt, who said he was expected back in the Egyptian capital on Friday.

The European Commission has begun dealing with non-Hamas members in the Palestinian government of national unity, but Hamas is branded a terrorist group in the EU and United States.

In the West Bank city of Ramallah, information minister Mustafa Barghouti said: “We are surprised by this decision and we expect the Netherlands to take a balanced stand between Israel and the Palestinians.”

Anti Dhimmitude in Cyprus: ‘Why Should We Adopt the Turkish Culture?’

INTERVIEW WITH CYPRIOT FOREIGN MINISTER YIORGOS LILLIKA

FROM SPIEGEL ONLINE

* Muhammedans often claim that their countries are being ‘invaded’ by western powers while deliberately ignoring the global jihad against the world that rages since 1400 years. The old chestnut that ‘no Islamic country has invaded a non Islamic country in 200 years’- is often repeated by the historically ignorant nutroots and moonbats among us who would sing ‘Kumbayah” even when the halal butchers cut their throats in front of a video camera. For starters, Indonesia immediately invaded East Timor the moment the Portugiese left. And just over 25 years ago the Turkish army invaded Cyprus, killed and raped and displaced more than 8000 people. There are currently 30-plus jihad wars in the world, from Chechnya to Kashmir, from Mindanao to Sulawesi and from Ethiopia to Nigeria. Israel is by no means the cause of the global jihad, but a scapegoat. If Israel fell today, the jihad would immediately continue against Spain, (‘Al Andaluz) Greece, France, Italy (Sicily) but not only there: The soldiers of Allah claim the world. The Koran teaches that they must ‘fight the unbelievers until all the world submits to Allah’…

Cypriot Foreign Minister Yiorgos Lillikas.

* Lillikas may not be all that savvy about the global jihad and the teachings of the Koran and the sunnah, but he understands that Turkey wants it all, and that would leave little for the Greek Cypriots.

Little progress has been made on solving the issue of a divided Cyprus since it was last addressed in December. SPIEGEL ONLINE spoke with the Cypriot foreign minister about what the Turkish crisis means for Cyprus, why the island is eager to see Turkey join the EU, and how accession is like an Anatolian bazaar.

SPIEGEL ONLINE: The road to Turkish membership in the European Union leads through Cyprus. Should Turkey not recognize Cyprus and open up trade with the country, it cannot become an EU member. But domestically, Turkey also has a lot of work left to do to implement the criteria for membership. Does the current government crisis in Turkey between the military-backed secularists and the Islamic government of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan worsen Turkey’s chances of accession and lessen the chances of finding a solution to the Cyprus problem?
Yiorgos Lillikas: Both. I am afraid that every time we have a political crisis in Turkey, Cyprus pays the price, especially should the military return to power. As we have seen in the past, that would mean a more hardliner policy and a more aggressive policy toward Cyprus. Cyprus is still seen by the Turkish military as vital for the country’s security. This is a very old fashioned and outdated approach. If they don’t change, then the Cyprus problem cannot be solved and it won’t be possible for Turkey to become a member of the European Union.

SPIEGEL ONLINE: Last December at the EU summit, Turkey maintained its refusal to open up all its ports and airports to traffic from Cyprus and elected not to move towards normalizing relations between the two countries. Do you think the Turkish position might soften once the upcoming elections are over?

Lillikas: I certainly hope so. In the European Union, a lot of partners thought that because of approaching elections in Turkey, the government in Ankara was unable to implement its obligations toward the European Union. If that is the case, then it can also be true of the Cyprus problem.

SPIEGEL ONLINE: Given the role the military plays in Turkish political life, why should Turkey be a part of the European Union at all?

Lillikas: If Turkey doesn’t change its political culture by adopting European values, then of course it cannot become a member of the European Union. That should be clear for everybody. But we have to keep the incentives alive for Turkey. I am always opposed to those who say that Turkey should never become a member of the EU, because then, the Turkish government has no incentive to pursue reforms. But I am also opposed to those on the other extreme who say that they support Turkey unconditionally. The result is the same. If the Turkish government believes that it can become an EU member without fulfilling the criteria, then it would likewise have no incentive to reform.
SPIEGEL ONLINE: Is Turkey’s desire to join the European Union the only lever that Cyprus has in negotiations with Turkey over the potential reunification of the island?

Lillikas:
Unfortunately yes. We are too small to have other levers. This is why I am dumbfounded when Turkish politicians say they would never accept the withdrawal of Turkish troops from Cyprus for security reasons. Come on! Maybe we are not very clever, us Cypriots, but we are not so stupid that we would attack Turkey.

Update: The strange politics of the EU

Army meddling ‘threatens Turkey’s EU chances’

condi_baseball_2.jpg

The EU, like Condoleeza Rice, would apparently prefer Turkey as an Islamic state to Turkey as a secular state under military rule.

By Amberin Zaman and Damien McElroy in the Telegraph, with thanks to Jihad Watch
The European Union warned the Turkish military yesterday that its interference in the country’s politics could jeopardise its chances of joining the EU. “The EU is founded on the principles of liberty, democracy, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, the rule of law, and the supremacy of democratic civilian power over the military,” Olli Rehn, the EU enlargement commissioner, said in a statement.
“If a country wants to become a member of the Union, it needs to respect these principles.”

wturkey03.jpg

The comments came after Turkey’s prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, (a convicted Islamo-fascist who did jail time for his belief) asked parliament to call a general election in July, five months early, after the country’s highest court annulled a vote to choose a new president.

The army warned at the weekend that it would intervene if Abdullah Gul, the ruling AK party’s foreign minister, was made president.

Opposition leaders fear Mr Gul’s election would enable the government to pursue an “Islamic agenda” it has so far kept in the shadows….

Onur Oymen, the hawkish deputy chairman of the main opposition Republican People’s Party, said the secular basis of the Turkish state was the true guarantee of democracy.

You can’t have democracy without secularism,” he said. “The notion of moderate Islam to check radical Islam is nonsense. This idea being promoted by certain countries should be abandoned.”

Charles Rips the Media Whores

Charles from LGF has been watching the Sydney Morning Heralds idiotic attempt to paint Sheik Al Hilali as some kind of homeboy, something he is not. Now the Daily Telegraph gets in on the action:

The Sydney Morning Herald’s absurd puff piece on the catmeat Sheik (subject of this post on Tuesday) was also noticed by Brendan Shanahan at the Daily Telegraph:

Fools give racism a real Sheik

I AM not keen on inter-newspaper slanging matches. One group of journalists claiming to be morally superior to another is like two hookers arguing over who has the cleaner house.

On Wednesday, however, a profile of Sheik Taj el-Dene Elhilaly in The Sydney Morning Herald’s Insight section typified a particular kind of weak journalism masquerading as balanced and fair while doing little more than appeasing extremism.

sheik_hilaly_wideweb__470×41101.jpg

Describing Sheik Hilaly as, among other things, “otherworldly” and “a symbol of resistance to the more materialistic elements of Australian culture”, this effort to soften the mufti’s image was bolstered by a photograph of him in a stripey apron cooking a pot of stew. The bakin’ sheik looked like a Margaret Fulton of the madrassas.

All very friendly and cosy. Then the subject of the Holocaust came up and the Hilaly of old came shining through.

“I, like many researchers in the world,” he was quoted as saying, “shy off the number of innocent victims that had been estimated at six million.”

Researchers? Oh, right: he’s talking about neo-Nazis.

It is staggering that The Sydney Morning Herald would allow nonsense like this to be printed, qualified only with the observation that Hilaly

still treads a fine line that many may continue to see as racist”.

“Racist” is saying that Jews are cheap and have big noses. Hilaly isn’t walking a fine line; he’s goose-stepping down the pavement.

Like most Holocaust deniers, Hilaly doesn’t reject the existence of death camps. His preferred tactic, like that of other “researchers”, is to play games with the numbers: one million dead as opposed to six being more of a minor skirmish than a holocaust.

This, of course, is the basis of the standard Islamic fundamentalist conspiracy theory: that Jews exaggerate the number killed during the Holocaust in order to guilt Western powers into supporting the expansion of Israel.

This long-term goal has been further aided by their staging of the September 11 attacks which gave Zionism a blank cheque to crush the Muslim world using George W. Bush as their puppet.

These demented conspiracies are, from personal experience, mainstream in many countries and lent tacit endorsement by public figures in the West so keen to prove their credentials on issues like Palestine that they will nod and smile in the face of the most blatant madness.

When Hilaly’s views are presented, unchallenged, as simply a matter of opinion it paves a dangerous road in which historical fact counts for nothing and the little old ladies in the Eastern suburbs who woke up under a pile of corpses are just another voice in a “debate”.

In their desperate efforts to play devil’s advocate, the Herald is being intellectually dishonest. Journalists would do well to remember that they are nowhere near as clever as they like to think and not half as clever as a snake like Hilaly.

* Well, at least the Telegraph takes a position. Could it mean that we will see more decency an honest reporting in the future? Not much hope there…

France: Segolene Royal Madness “Vote for me or Muslims will riot”

2007_05_04t122431_450×310_us_france_election.jpg

France’s Royal warns of violence if Sarkozy wins

In a tactic straight out of the Islamofascist playbook, socialist Segolene Royal says that if her opponent Nicolas Sarkozy wins the French presidential election, her friends the “youths” are going to tear the place up.
By Kerstin Gehmlich Reuters

Socialist opponent Segolene Royal said on Friday that France risks violence and brutality if her opponent right-winger Nicolas Sarkozy wins Sunday’s presidential election.

On the last day of official campaigning, opinion polls showed Sarkozy enjoyed a commanding lead over Royal, who accused the former interior minister of lying and polarizing France.

“Choosing Nicolas Sarkozy would be a dangerous choice,” Royal told RTL radio.

“It is my responsibility today to alert people to the risk of (his) candidature with regards to the violence and brutality that would be unleashed in the country (if he won),” she said.

Pressed on whether there would be actual violence, Royal said: “I think so, I think so,” referring specifically to France’s volatile suburbs hit by widespread rioting in 2005.
Read it all…

* Of course, its not like Sarkozy will actually be able to govern. All the politicians, academics, media, etc. are hard core, defeatist, self-loathing libtards and will block everything he does

This is just in from Atlas Shrugs:

If Sarko wins the 6 may, its will be war”

These words resound like an incantation on every French suburbs. For the “banlieues”, Nicolas Sarkozy is THE enemy. After his speech of  “cleaning up the suburbs with an karcher” and the word “racaille”, (scum)  a large part of these multicultural areas is strongly mobilized against the UMP candidate.

This mobilization behind Segolene Royal is strong on the suburbs [punk jihadis – Atlas] : 41.63% of votes in Clichy sous Bois, the start place of the 2005 ramadan riots. Same at La Courneuve and Argenteuil, where she’s the leader. The left won the immigrants [punk jihad – Atlas] vote without contestation. The Socialist Party promises the right for the stranger to vote, they promised a lot to the suburbs population.

After 2002, when Le Pen arrived on the second turn, the left pushed the suburbs to vote. They know these populations are favorable to them.

This work paid, and these populations who didn’t vote before is now strongly mobilized behind Segolene Royal.

A large front against Sarkozy (extreme left, suburbs) was born.

Now this is a kind of blackmail, and even the socialist candidate plays this game, “choosing Nicolas Sarkozy would be a dangerous choice,” Royal told RTL radio.

The French are warned, if they vote for him, this will be the war on the streets with sporadics riots, and on the ground of social contestation with the extreme left.

This “alliance of the worse” is determined to go over the vote and the democracy if they don’t have what they want. Things are like that in France, the left wing considers himself as the “good”, and the rest is the “evil”, this strategy of diabolisation started with Jean Marie Le Pen who represent the incarnated evil. In 2002, despite he was on the second turn, the mobilization on the streets shows they will not respect the vote and play by the rules of democracy.

This is a French specialty, a left wing that is very influential, particularly on the mainstream medias (94% of the journalists says they vote left or extreme left, according an IPSOS poll), that means even the right wing papers are controlled by leftist journalists.

Out with the old, in with the ‘Jew’? Sarkozy talks to the ‘Post’
By DAVID REINHARC, ALEXANDRE DEL VALLE AND YANIV SALAMA-SCHEER

Sunday’s runoff election between Socialist candidate Segolene Royal and Nicolas Sarkozy will be a historic event, and not solely because it will produce the first French president born after World War II.

If the polls are right, the Union for Popular Movement’s Sarkozy will be the next leader of the Republic, which means that France will have a Jewish head for only the second time in its history… almost.

Sarkozy, whose father is Hungarian, has been something of an adopted son here (especially in Netanya) due to his Jewish background: His mother had a Jewish father. Sarko, as his supporters call him, has openly and repeatedly called himself a friend of Israel in good times and in bad. While he remains politically neutral regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, he has drawn criticism from many for his views and positions on Israel, notably from extreme right-winger Jean-Marie Le Pen, who said during the Second Lebanon War that while the land of the cedars was under attack, Sarkozy was declaring that he was a supporter of Israel.

Christopher Hitchens: NO to Censorship!

Meanwhile, CAIR is chipping away on freedom of speech:

CAIR Cheers”Thought Crime” Bill Passage

I warned against the thought crimes bill here. I even said  “I can just see CAIR scampering to get this passed.” They will wield this legislation like a club. Well it passed the House and CAIR is ecstatic. Here is the CAIR alert;

CAIR PRAISES HOUSE PASSAGE OF ANTI-HATE CRIMES BILL

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 5/3/2007) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today congratulated the US House of Representatives on its passage of the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act.

CAIR has supported the act since 2005 and last week renewed its call for the community to urge elected officials to pass the measure.

The Senate now must consider its version of the bill, known as S. 1105.

If passed, the law would allow the Attorney General to provide federal assistance to local law enforcement to aid investigations of crimes motivated by “…prejudice based on the actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin…” of the victim.

The White House has indicated that it will most likely veto the measure if it reaches the President.

Pamela sez: Thank G-d for Bush.

UPDATE: From the guys in the white hats;

“This legislation is harmful to all Americans because it perpetuates the very hatred and strife that it seeks to prevent,” noted the RSC letter.  “This legislation would federalize every state and local crime, so long as there exists the possibility that the crime was potentially motivated by hate – but only the specific ‘hate’ directed to the special groups included in this bill and other hate crime legislation across the country.”

“The Republican Study Committee respectfully urges you to veto any legislation which threatens to undermine our most cherished constitutional rights – the freedom of speech and religious expression and equal protection under the law – and asks you to issue a strongly worded veto threat against H.R. 1592 or any bill that contains the vestiges of this legislation.”

This morning, the White House responded to the letter by issuing a veto threat (attached) noting that the bill is “unnecessary and constitutionally questionable.”

“We are pleased that the President will side with the Constitution on behalf of ALL people – regardless of their class, status, or identity,” said RSC Chairman Jeb Hensarling.  “All of us, regardless of party or ideology, want to deter crimes against young women, old men, African Americas, homosexuals, pregnant women, veterans and everyone else.  What we don’t believe in is dehumanizing people by segregating them into different groups while ignoring them as individual human beings.  This bill is unconstitutional, undermines individual liberty and is well deserving of the President’s veto.”

Australia: Young Muslims urged to enlist

Richard Kerbaj/The Australian

YOUNG Australian Muslim women will be targeted to join the Army Reserve and prove they are part of the national security “solution”.
The plan by Sydney Muslim leader Jamal Rifi – which has been welcomed by the Australian Defence Force – is designed to break down barriers between Islam and mainstream Australia. It also aims to revive an element of Islamic culture that saw men and women fighting “side by side” during the days of the prophet Mohammed.
Dr Rifi, president of Lakemba Sports and Recreation Club in Sydney’s southwest, said he wanted “hijab-wearing” women between the ages of 17 and 26 to become reservists and would soon begin promoting the idea to Muslim parents on Arabic and Islamic radio networks to urge them to let their kids join.

“I will be encouraging Arab-speaking Australians to join overall, but I will concentrate mainly on the Muslim community,” he told The Australian yesterday.

“I would like to send the message to the wider Australian society that we are not part of the problems, we are part of the solution.”

* Just curious: What kind of ‘solution’ to what exactly, Dr. Rififi?

TAFE student Hala Ayache said she was keen to join the Army Reserve so she could “give back” to Australia and would encourage her friends to sign up with her.

800px-20060318_australia_nsw_sydney_antiwarprotest_muslimwomen.jpg

* Ready to enlist?

“We can join the country that we were born in and, you know, we can go lose weight a little bit, too,” said the 19-year-old from Punchbowl in Sydney’s southwest.

University student Alaa Hashem, 20, said becoming a reservist would help dispel misconceptions about religious Muslim women that “we stay at home and are uneducated”.

The nation’s most senior female Muslim leader, Aziza Abdel-Halim, welcomed the idea.

“I’m all for it,” she said. “If the country needs them, they are there to lend their support.”

Dr Rifi said a focus group discussion earlier this year found that Muslim women were keen on becoming reservists and that many would sign up when the recruitment drive took off within two months.

He acknowledged there were cultural barriers such as Islamic dress codes that would discourage Muslim parents from encouraging their daughters to join.

But Dr Rifi said he would run discussion groups for parents to learn more about the “benefits” of allowing their children to become involved.

A defence force spokesman said the women would be welcomed provided they met entry requirements. “Defence and the ADF encourage an inclusive workplace that recognises and respects the significance of peoples culture and beliefs,” he said.

But Australian Defence Association executive director Neil James said the hijab might present occupational health and safety issues.

* Right. After the Cronulla rape epidemics and the assault on Aussie lifesavers NSW Muslim minister Morris Iemma (the ‘dillemma’) presented Australia with hijabbed muslim lifesavers. We have no reports yet as to their saving qualifications.

_19426_australia_muslim_lifesaver.jpg

* Another muslim ‘leader’ Tom Zreika who suggested that muftis and imams themselves should become lifesavers had to go into hiding and is under police protection.

* Could you imagine being ‘mouth to mouth with sheik Hilali?’

Here is the link from Sheik yer’mami :

The American Military had some rather awful experiences with enlisted Muslims: One of them rolled hand grenades into the tent of his fellow soldiers. Others refused to translate Arabic documents because it might ‘harm other Muslims’- some went AWOL (absent without leave) and sided with the enemy. A Muslim cleric in Gitmo was caught smuggling classified documents and information and plans about camp Delta. Who is to say that Australia would not have similar experiences?

How are Christians treated in the Egyptian Army?

*Here is an example of how Muslims treat Christians in their armies, with thanks to Shiva’s ‘Illustrated Pig:’

Here is the story of Hani Sarofim Nasrala Issak, a soldier in the Egyptian army, who was tortured and killed the first week of August 2006 after refusing to convert to Islam.

Hani’s family issued a statement about the incident. In translation, the statement says:
Our son, the soldier Hani Sarofim Nasrala, from the village of Rahmaneya Kebly in the city of Nag Hamadi of the Qena governorate, was a soldier in the southern sector of the city of Aswan. His unit number was 2152C33.

We found him drowned in the Nile near the city of Nag Hamadi. Marks of torture covered the entirety of his body.

Earlier, Hani had told his family that there were problems between him and the direct leader of his unit because Hani was a Christian. He also told his family that his leader used to molest and torture him in front of his peer soldiers.

When his leader asked him blatantly to reject Chrisitianity and convert to Islam, Hani refused and told him he would notify the military intelligence.

The leader threatened him saying “Ok Hani, I will settle things with you!”

The leader subsequently arranged to kill Hani by sending him to a station near his village, at Nag Al-Ghaliz of the city of Nag Hamadi, in order to eliminate any suspicions about the plan.

At that time, Hani was supposed to be on an official vacation of eight days, which would end on July 30th 2006. He also had two permissions for one other vacation, which would have finished on August 13th 2006, in case one of the two permissions got lost.

An official report was filled at the Nag Hamadi police station under the number 5251 year of 2006.

Traditional Aboriginal Imam from the Andrew Bolt blog

Who said academic theories had to make sense?

From the Sydney Morning Herald (of course)
Peta Stephenson, a doctoral fellow at the University of Melbourne’s Asia Institute, says Islam doesn’t share the baggage of missionary Christianity, and has become one path by which Aborigines can affirm their pre-colonial identity.

“Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X are role models,” she says. “A lot of people see Islam as an answer to the ills of Western society. For communities suffering chronic levels of unemployment or underemployment and substance abuse it might have special appeal for those wanting to break away from the statistics.”

So to reject British colonialism and affirm a “pre-colonial identity”, Aborigines adopt a Middle Eastern faith with American role models.

Er, OK.

And to revolt against the statistics of unemployment, they take on the faith of that part of the world that suffers worst from poverty.

Actually, I’d suggest Islam offers an underclass something more primitive and dangerous – a revelling in an us-against-the-world victimology, and a legitimising of anger and force. No wonder that so many Aboriginal converts are convicted criminals and boxers.

mundine4507_wideweb__470×3120-1.jpg

Finding direction … Anthony Mundine converted to Islam after his manager gave him a book about Malcolm X.
Photo: Wade Laube

A FLAG is soon to flutter above the troubled suburb of Redfern, proclaiming a new religious face to Aboriginal Australia. At the centre of a backdrop of equal halves of black and red, the colours of the Aboriginal people, is a yellow crescent moon and star. It’s to be the symbol of the Koori Muslim Association, which will open the only Aboriginal mushalla in NSW at a shopfront location on busy Regent Street next month.

Conversion among indigenous Australians is growing, driven by the higher visibility of Islam, a rejection of Christianity as a post-colonial religion, identification with Islamic principles, and conversions in prisons where Aborigines dominate the population.

While no one knows how many indigenous Muslims there are in Australia, Aboriginal Muslims reject suggestions they are converting to the faith in droves. Some are descendants of Afghan and Baluch cameleers, North Indian traders and Malay pearl divers and have grown up in the faith.

Many converts are from cities. The boxer Anthony Mundine is the most famous of these and has become a role model. Their first contact with Islam sometimes, but not always, comes in jail, where as many as 22 per cent of inmates are indigenous Australians.

* Muhammed Ali and Mike Tyson are obviously irresistible ‘role-models’

Rocky Davis, known as Shaheed Malik, converted while serving 14 years for armed robberies and other offences. It was the story of Malcolm X, the gangster and black American nationalist leader who became a convert to Islam, that first inspired Davis.

“What does Islam stand for? Islam offers a faith untainted by colonialism and racism. It is a liberating religion,” says Davis. “Though the Bible said you shalt not kill, they killed, thou shall not rape, they raped our women, thou shalt not steal, they stole our land. Islam at its essence is pure. My forefathers had no army and no guns and lived in Aboriginal townships and camps. That’s the difference between the Muslim and Christian faiths: one is for the oppressed and one’s for the oppressor, one’s for the coloniser and one for the colonised.”

* Right. And that is the view that wakademia presents to young impressionable Australians.

Read it and weep: 2 more pages of similar absurdities..

moonbats-1.jpg

To top it up, another piece from the Bolt blog:

Peter Manning, former ABC journalist and now a journalism lecturer, thinks Muslims are just yesterday’s Catholics:

Many of the things thrown at Australian Muslims in the past five years – bundled together as “un-Australian” – are features of other religions in our multicultural society: they’re breeding “us” out; their women are oppressed; the imams speak in Arabic; their sharia law is weird; their links are to Middle Eastern lands.

Is that all we’re worrying about? Birth rates and links to a homeland?

Why is it that Manning can’t make his familiar case – that concern about Islam in Australia is just proof that we’re just racists – without hiding the most relevant facts?

Search as hard as you like in Manning’s piece, you will not find a single mention of the things that have really provoked concern about Islam.

Where is the mention of imam’s preaching jihad, Muslims allegedly conspiring in terrorist attacks on Australian soil, Australians being blown up by Muslim bombs, Muslim organisations and imams praising and defending Osama bin Laden, Lebanese Muslim gangs, a Mufti praising suicide bombers and urging Muslims to fight Israel, Lebanese Muslims singling out “Skip” girls for pack rapes and the like?

*

Warren Raymond comments:

* Guys like Peter Mannings should be publicly humiliated and disgraced. They are either useful idiots or agents for Arab Imperialism: Islam.

Even ex-journo’s with a far left agenda have a duty to inform themselves. And we must not allow them to deliberately mislead and misinform the public.

But if you take a closer look (I mean ‘follow the money’ you will find that Mannings has a vested interest to promote this kind of nonsense.

Former ex-presidents Clinton, peanut-Carter as well as some university professors like Mearsheimer and Walt have received huge amounts of money in ‘speaking fees’ or ‘donations’ in order to spread this kind of propaganda. Saudi (Arab) pockets are deep and ten trillion dollars go a long way in promoting the global jihad. That includes the building of mosques everywhere in the lands of the infidels as well as buying influence. It includes censorship, intimidation and blackmail against everything and everyone opposed to Islam.

Makes sense?

Holland: Geert Wilders calls for closure of all Islamic Schools

From Deutsche Presse Agentur

geert_wilders_jpg_878031c.jpg

Den Haag – Dutch Member of Parliament Geert Wilders, the controversial leader and founder of the Freedom Party (PVV), has called for the immediate closure of all Muslim schools in the Netherlands in an article published Tuesday.

* Is there anything written by any journo these days thats not ‘controversial?’
The move was necessary ‘to protect children against the ongoing spreading of Islam,’ Wilders wrote on Dutch news website Nieuwsnieuws.
We have too much Islam in the Netherlands. Islam is effectively more a violent political ideology than a religion,’ he wrote.

*
During the 2006 elections, Wilders’ PVV surprised everyone by gaining nine seats in the 175-seat Dutch parliament.

Here is more on Wilders from Western Resistance:
Wilders had been an MP for several years – first for the Liberal- right VVD party and then as an independent member. Last year was the first time he contested the elections with his own party.
Yassin Hartog, interim director of the ISBO, the umbrella organization of Muslim schools in the Netherlands, considers Wilders’ words to be a ‘provocation.’

* Of course: Resisting Islam is a heinous crime. Wilders must be beheaded, at once!
‘I don’t think there is much reason for another controversy about Muslim schools in Holland. Muslim education in Holland is well-rooted in the national school system,’ Hartog said.
Holland is known for its uniquely broad range of schools and educational systems.
Some 40 per cent of Dutch schools are public. The remaining 60 per cent are special schools, some of which are based on specific educational systems such as Montessori, while others are based upon a religious denomination.
Public schools and special schools receive equal government funding.
In the last 15 years a few dozen Muslim schools have been established, predominantly elementary schools.
In recent months, however, several Muslim schools made the Dutch headlines after school inspections found they did not meet the minimum educational standards, especially for the Dutch language and integration into Dutch society.

Strange. Lots of controversy everywhere. Today we got the same kind of report from Germany as well. Muslims are not integrating anywhere. We must be doing something wrong, what could that be?

* Here is some of the stuff Geert Wilders says, he must be reading our blogs:

He wrote: “Islam is rapidly pushing our Western civilisation close to the edge of the abyss. We have too much Islam in the Netherlands. Islam is more a violent political ideology than a religion.”

In his column, he also alluded to the quote from the River War by Winston Churchill: “Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. No stronger retrogade force exists in the World. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step… the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome” (The River War, First edition, Vol. II, pag. 248-50).

I present more of WInston Churchill’s pithy observations about Islam HERE. Geert Wildlers in his column said: “Churchill was right. We are now more than hundred years further and Islam brings our Western civilisation rapidly to the edge of the abyss. We have too much Islam in the Netherlands. Islam is more a more violent political ideology than a religion. For this reason I put a new measure for: immediately closing all Islamic schools in the Netherlands. This to protect children from the distribution of Islamic thinking. Not the Moslems as people but Islam is the core of the problem.”

Wilders then states that if people do not believe him, they should listen to the accounts of those who had left Islam, the apostates. He mentions the website Apostates of Islam. On this site is a list of apostates.

Mr Wilders quotes from this website. “Yet Muhammad’s life is that of a gangster godfather. He raided merchant caravans, looted innocent people, massacred entire male populations and enslaved the women and children. He raped the women captured in war after killing their husbands and told his followers that it is okay to have sex with their captives and their “right hand possessions” (Quran 33:50) He assassinated those who criticized him and executed them when he came to power and became de facto despot of Arabia. Muhammad was bereft of human compassion. He was an obsessed man with his dreams of grandiosity and could not forgive those who stood in his way. Muhammad was a narcissist like Hitler, Saddam or Stalin”.

Geert Wilders concludes his column by saying: “I couldn’t have said it better myself.”

No wonder Wilders needs police protection.

The real darkness at the heart of Islamist terror

* Here on Winds of Jihad we have always maintained that education about Islam and the the global jihad is the key to save western civilization and culture from barbarism.  It is good to see that more and more ‘infidels’ seem to wake up and smell the coffee. Michel Gove from the Times online is almost there. However, the term ‘Islamism’ is misleading.

Its about the global jihad and Islam pure, as it is in the scriptures. That’s why the ‘moderates’ have no leg to stand on. And that is the reason why the ‘militants’- those that take the scriptures seriously, are winning.

Michael Gove is Conservative MP for Surrey Heath. He worked on The Times from 1995-2005. He makes regular appearances on BBC Radio 4’s The Moral Maze and The Late Review on BBC2

Listen to any Radio 4 discussion on what motivates terrorists, and the same consensus is usually reached – it’s foreign policy, stupid. Bush and Blair, Iraq and Afghanistan, the West’s misguided interventions in the Muslim world, that’s what inflames young hearts with righteous anger, an anger which our leaders have allowed to become a killing rage.

Pay attention to the conversation of intellectuals, commentators and many self-proclaimed community leaders and the same message is amplified and elaborated. William Dalrymple warns us that ill-considered interventions provoke those who have hitherto been pious and peace-loving into taking up arms. John Humphrys tells the Prime Minister, as though it were an established fact, that the 7/7 bombings took place “because of Iraq”. The Muslim Council of Britain greeted news of the plot to bomb British tourists out of the sky last summer with an open letter to the Prime Minister asking him to “change our foreign policy”.

The degree of consensus is impressive. What a pity it’s not supported by the facts.

The reporting of the Operation Crevice trial has revealed much more than just the failings of the intelligence and security services. It has also reminded those with eyes to see of the real darkness at the heart of Islamist terror. Were the targets they chose symbols of Western foreign policy adventurism? Or was there another reason for their choosing to fantasize about mass murder in a shopping mall and a nightclub? Why did they choose to single out not our foreign ministry but the Ministry of Sound? And why, when they were enjoying the thought of murder on the dancefloor, did one of their number say, “No one can turn around and say, ‘Oh, they were innocent’, those slags dancing around. Do you understand what I mean?”

Unfortunately, all too many do not understand what Jawab Akbar did mean. Because so many of those who choose to comment on terrorism, its roots, motivations and methods, fail to understand the ideology that drives and justifies these actions. I have explored that ideology, Islamism, in a book, Celsius 7/7, which has just been republished.

* Here is where the writer gets it wrong: Its not ‘Islamism’- its about the global jihad. The rest of the article is pretty spot on.

And in the course of my exploration it became clear that the ideological motivation for the terrorist threat we face is an austere and pitiless twisting of Islam that offers young men redemption through violence, and the opportunity to exalt themselves by purging the world of the impure.

* Wrong again. The jihadis follow the scriptures. They are the good Muslims. That austerity and pitlessness is the pure Islam.

Just as the ardent young followers of Hitler in 1930s Germany were offered membership of an elite, a sense of special self-belief and a tempting opportunity to give vent to their resentments and frustrations through violence against those who were “impure” in racial terms, so today’s Islamist extremists are offered the same bewitching path, with the focus of violence being those who are “impure” in ideological and cultural terms. The impure, the targets for slaughter, we now know, are not just “apostates” who mock Islam, such as Salman Rushdie or the Danish cartoonists, nor are they even the architects of foreign policy adventures – the Bushes and Blairs, Reids and Rumsfelds, they are the clubbers and shoppers of modern Britain – in the eyes of the Islamist killers we are all slags, none of us innocent. That is the ugly, and troubling, truth which there should be no dancing around.

And yet, and yet. Few of those who rush to provide explanations for why these young men act as they do have troubled to study the thoughts and writings of their guides and mentors. The works of the founding fathers of Islamism, such as the Egyptian activist Sayyid Qutb, lay bare an antipathy towards the West, its culture, its freedom, its sexual liberties and the very idea of equality between the sexes. For Qutb and other Islamist thinkers the ideal goal is a world in which every action is governed by submission to an impersonal and unforgiving god. As his fellow Islamist ideologue Abul Ala Mawdudi argued, the goal is “a state [where] no one can regard any field of his affairs as personal and private. The Islamic state bears a kind of resemblance to the Fascist and Communist states”.

And because those who follow Islamism are in thrall to a totalitarian world-view, like Fascism and Communism, the actions of others are always viewed through the skewed perspective of a narrow faith. And so whatever we do, unless it’s in conformity with their extremist vision, is provocative. If we support the right of women to choose what they wear, we are not respected for our tolerance towards all, we are damned for allowing licentiousness. And when it comes to foreign policy, when we choose not to intervene, when we decide that we shan’t get involved, whether in Bosnia, Chechnya or Kashmir, we are not respected for our modesty and restraint on the world stage. We are damned again, for not acting in accordance with Islamist ambitions.

Against this challenge there really is only one appropriate response – a determination to do what we know to be right in defiance of the demands of men and women who exalt in slaughter. If we changed our society to make ourselves less offensive to the extremists that would not be prudent politics. It would be submission.
