‘Terror ringleader’ is brilliant NHS doctor

Here he is:

• Two more men arrested over Airport attack bringing total under currently under arrest to seven
• Police search second house in Newcastle-under-Lyme
• Section of Royal Alexandra Hospital cordoned off as bomb disposal squad called in
• Kurdish terror group is linked to London attacks

The suspected ringleader of the Al Qaeda car bombers is a brilliant neurologist working for the NHS, it was revealed today.

Saudi Mohammed Asha, 26, was arrested with his 27-year-old wife, who was in traditional Muslim dress, on the M6 in Cheshire on Saturday night.

The development comes as a section of the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley was cordoned off while a bomb disposal squad was called in.

Dr Asha came top of his class at the University of Jordan in 2004 with an “excellent score” and has been practising in Britain since 2005.

Police hunting for the terror cell behind the failed London and Glasgow bombings are searching his detached home in cul-de-sac Sunningdale Grove in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.

Neighbours said they believed Dr Asha and his wife have one young child. The General Medical Council said Dr Asha holds a provisional registration which enabled him to work in the NHS under supervision.

Hitchens Rips Libtard Baroness Williams:

‘Free Speech is non-negotiable’

free-speech.jpg

Christopher Hitchens “from the United States” (Hitchens is now an American citizen) debates the Baroness Williams on British TV on the question of whether Salman Rusdie’s knighthood was an affront to Muslims worldwide.

Link to the Belmont Club

The video is principally interesting as a glimpse into attitudes in Blighty. Of course the killer line is Hitchen’s, when he points out to Baroness Williams that all the literary lions of the Islamic world had signed a petition in support of an Iranian author who had been condemned by fatwa, turning to her and saying, (I paraphrase) “So if you think that Muslims are offended by free expression then you are lumping them all with the most illiterate, backward and homicidal elements of the Muslim world. With people who didn’t read the book — who in fact couldn’t read a book — that identification of Muslims with stupidity and not Rusdie’s knighthood is the insult to Islam.” I think the remark captures the patronizing liberal attitude toward the Third World perfectly. On some subconscious level it is necessary for the people of the Third World — as were the “masses” in history — to be understood as something less than the human in order to make their manipulation from the Commanding Heights more palatable; and yes, “noble”.

Scots remain deluded:

* UK polit-props are literally pissing all over themselves to reassure Muslims that there will be ‘no backlash’-

But some Muslim leaders expressed concern that the community would be more at risk to racist attacks. Imam Abdul Ghafoor, one of the spiritual leaders at Glasgow Central Mosque, said he had already heard reports from Asian shopkeepers of verbal abuse and racist graffiti appearing in response to the attempted car bombings.

Mr Saeed, who was at Glasgow Airport with his two young children picking up relatives shortly before the attack, stressed that Muslims were at risk from terrorist attacks along with other Scots. “The terrorists do not care who they kill. We are seething with anger about this,” he said.

Leo McKinstry from the Daily Express doesn’t buy any:

BRITISH MUSLIMS MUST SHOW WHICH SIDE THEY ARE ON

12037_1.jpg

British citizens?

WHERE are the marches and demonstrations, the passionate speeches and angry slogans?
Where are the protesters shouting “not in my name”?

Usually so quick to take to the streets at any perceived slight against their religion, all too many Muslims in Britain seem indifferent to attempted mass slaughter being carried out in the name of Islam.

When an obscure Danish newspaper published a satirical cartoon of the prophet Mohammed last year, there were such huge Muslim rallies that central London was brought to a halt on three successive weekends.

Yet the serious terrorist incidents of recent days have incurred no such heated response. In some cases, there was an outright attempt to deny Muslim responsibility. The deputy general secretary of the Muslim Council of Britain, Daud Abdullah, came out with this preposterous statement after the London bombings had been foiled: “Let’s not create a hypothetical problem. It can be the work of Muslims, Christians, Jews or Buddhists.”

We will not win with yet more appeasement of Islam

To make such an assertion after the record of Islamic terrorist barbarity across the globe over the past decade is an insult to our intelligence. Elsewhere, half-hearted words of condemnation were mixed with the inevitable self- justifying blather about Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan.

This points to a worrying state of denial within the Muslim community in Britain. Too often, there is a shameful unwillingness to face up to the reality of murderous Islamism, which uses the Koran as a blueprint for terrorism. As the former radical Hassan Butt, who has now renounced jihadism, puts it: “Most Islamic institutions in Britain just don’t want to talk about theology. They refuse to broach the difficult topic of violence within Islam.”

Even when Muslims admit to the link between their religion and political violence, they slide into the pose of victimhood, pretending that the actions of the terrorists are only a response to poverty or US imperialism.

What is just as sickening is that some of our key political leaders, who should be protecting our society, collude with this grotesque narrative of denial and blame-passing. So in Scotland, shortly after the assault on Glasgow airport, the new First Minister Alex Salmond claimed that “individuals, not communities” were responsible for terrorism, a piece of nonsense given that it is the Muslim community that has bred the terrorists.

In London, Mayor Ken Livingstone was even more reprehensible. He dismissed the idea of any connection between Islam and terrorism, claiming that: “Muslims are less likely to support the use of violence to achieve political ends than non-Muslims.” Yeah, right, tell that to the relatives of those killed in the July bombings, or the Twin Towers, or the Bali attacks or the Madrid massacre. Or tell it to your own Metropolitan Police, which says there are at least 2,000 Muslims in Britain linked directly to Al Qaeda. Then Livingstone sought to excuse the bombers by referring to the war in Iraq and to levels of unemployment among young Muslims, both of which had left them alienated from our society.

This is a seriously warped analysis. Hardline Islamists are alienated from the British mainstream because of their own sick, divisive ideology. They are the ones who constantly seek separation, demand special treatment and hold our democratic civilisation in contempt.

hajib0630.jpg

Muslim Woman /sexy eyes

Their so-called “disenfranchisement” is entirely of their own making. Violent jihadism was occurring long before Britain and America toppled Saddam Hussein. The continual wailing about Iraq also points to the dubious loyalty of too many British Muslims, who seem to have more sympathy with a cruel dictatorship than with their own nation. Let us remember that, despite the abuse heaped on Bush and Blair, almost all the carnage in Iraq has been caused by Muslims killing fellow Muslims.

They have a nerve complaining about their lot, when it is their co-religionists who have built a climate of fear in our society, murdered scores of innocent British civilians and brought chaos to our transport network. Rather than moaning, Muslims should take res pon sibility for reforming their own religion. For there is something rotten with the state of Islam in modern Britain.

We can see that not just in the propensity of radicals to resort to mass murder but also in the repression of women, the spate of “honour” killings, the shrill demands for the imposition of separatist sharia law, the refusal to integrate and the eagerness to cling to alien customs, such as the wearing of full Islamic dress.

All Western countries have had some problems with Muslim communities. But it is telling that in the US, where there is a far stronger sense of national identity, Muslims are much more integrated.

In contrast, the British official state creed of multiculturalism has encouraged victimhood and alienation, through the provision of separate housing, faith schools, language translation, support for mosques, grants to ethnic groups and the abandonment of border controls.

Home-grown terrorism is the price we are paying. And we will not win with yet more appeasement of Islam. Muslims’ grievances are nothing more than the expression of regret that they do not control our society. We have to fight back, and that means abandoning multi-culturalism, cracking down on immigration and re-establishing a sense of national identity. Those Muslims who are really opposed to terrorism will join in this struggle, not sit sullenly on the sidelines.

Thailand: No More Origami

‘Backlash’

Thai army detains 50 in raid on Muslim village.

It will be interesting to see ho long the military keeps this up. But in any case, its a better strategy than to try and pacify the jihadists with origami-paper swans dropped out of airplanes…

BANGKOK: Thai security forces raided a village in the rebellious Muslim south yesterday and detained 50 men with bomb-making material, an army spokesman said.

The detainees were taken for questioning to an army camp in Narathiwat, one of three provinces where more than 2,300 people have been killed in a three-year separatist insurgency in the Malay-speaking region.

The dawn raid, which involved 100 troops and police, followed tipoffs from villagers that a group of militants were hiding in the village, Colonel Atthadej Mathanom told Reuters by telephone. The detainees can be held without charge for 28 days under an emergency law.

Last month, the army detained 160 Muslims after rebels intensified attacks on government schools, civil servants and security forces.

Taliban Continue to Use Human Shields

Taliban Continue Human Shield Tactics in Afghanistan

This as Afghan President Hamid Karzai continues to criticize NATO and the US for civilian casualties. “Taliban Continue Human Shield Tactics in Afghanistan,” from American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, July 1, 2007 – Taliban terrorists continue to use innocent civilians as shields, NATO officials in Afghanistan said today.
Afghan and American soldiers under International Security Assistance Force command participated in Operation Ghartse Ghar in Helmand province yesterday. The goal was to clear Taliban forces from both sides of the Helmand River in the village of Haderabad.

After battling enemy forces most of the day, Afghan and coalition forces came under heavy fire from enemy small arms, medium machine guns, 82 mm mortars and rocket-propelled grenades.

The Afghan and coalition forces identified several enemy positions during this exchange, including mortar positions, observation posts, compounds and a trench system. They returned fire and called in close-air support. All enemy positions were destroyed in the engagement.

Though Afghan and coalition forces appear to have fired at clearly identified firing positions, said Army Maj. Chris Belcher, spokesman for Combined Joint Task Force 82, there are reports of civilian casualties.

“After our forces surveyed the area, there are reports of some possible civilian deaths,” Belcher said. The troops found the remains of innocent civilians who were killed in firing positions in a trench line.

“We are deeply saddened by any loss of innocent lives,” Belcher said. “Insurgents are continuing their tactic of using women and children as human shields in close combat with friendly forces.”

In Ghazni province, Afghan and coalition forces detained a number of insurgents during an operation today.

No shots were fired and no one was injured in the operation.

Coalition forces acted on credible intelligence which indicated the location was a hideout for foreign fighters connected to the Haqqani network, officials said. The detainees will be questioned as to their identities and involvement in militant activities.

BLiar crawls out of his suit

Blair launches stinging attack on ‘absurd’ British Islamists

* While Britain, the beautiful people, the nutroots and the Anglo-MSM around the world indulge in a perverted song & dance contest around the butterfly ‘Lady Di’ -waste-of-time-princess-of -nothingness-, the news about the attempted bombings in the UK are obscured, distorted and obfuscated in a way that makes you wanna puke.

Empty suits appear out of nowhere, introduced as ‘terrorism experts’- interviewed by clueless male and female bitches who never, not once, dare to speak about ‘Islam’- ‘Muslims’- or the terror that is is preached in the mosques and in the Koran, by the followers of the pedophile profit Muhammad.

Then comes BLiar:

Surprise, surprise:

Oppression? You’re not oppressed, says former Prime Minister Tony Blair to British Muslims. We have taken issue with him many, many times over his silly statements about Islamic jihad terrorism and related matters, but he has this right.

By Nicholas Watt in The Observer
…’The idea that as a Muslim in this country that you don’t have the freedom to express your religion or your views, I mean you’ve got far more freedom in this country than you do in most Muslim countries,’ Blair told Observer columnist Will Hutton, who presents the documentary.
‘The reason we are finding it hard to win this battle is that we’re not actually fighting it properly. We’re not actually standing up to these people and saying, “It’s not just your methods that are wrong, your ideas are absurd. Nobody is oppressing you. Your sense of grievance isn’t justified.”‘

* A bit late in the day, Tony. Yesterday you were in parliament, now you’re out!
Blair held out the example of the overthrow of the Taliban in Afghanistan – criticised by Islamists as an example of the heavy-handed imperial West oppressing Muslims – to highlight unfounded claims of grievance. He asked how it is possible to claim that Afghanistan’s Muslims are being oppressed when the Taliban ‘used to execute teachers for teaching girls in schools’.

* Don’t you read the Koran Tony?

Blair added: ‘How are [we] oppressing them? You’re oppressing them when you support the people who are trying to blow them up.’

Blair, who normally chooses his language carefully when he talks about Islamists, also takes a swipe at critics who accused him of undermining civil liberties. ‘When I’m trying to change the law in order to make it easier to deport people who engage in terrorism – the idea that that’s an assault on hundreds of years of British civil liberties is completely absurd. Some of what is written on this is loopy-loo in its extremism.’

* Yeah. Take a break, Tony. Forget about making big bucks with the Arabs. Read the Koran. Learn about Islam. Learn to breathe. Learn about your own history. And learn to defend your civilization instead of selling out for thirty silver shillings….

* One of our readers answers Tony BLiars mental acrobatics:

“It’s not just your methods that are wrong, your ideas are absurd. Nobody is oppressing you. Your sense of grievance isn’t justified.”

You’re wrong, Mr Blair. Muslims are most definitely oppressed. You just don’t understand what constitutes oppression in the Muslim mind.

So long as the British people will not acknowledge that there is only one God, Allah, and that Mohammad is his Prophet, and so long as Britain requires that Muslims live by the laws passed by a democratically elected Parliment, and not the Sharia laws of God, And so long as Britain protects freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of religion, Muslims will consider themselves oppressed.

In other words, when Britain is an Islamic state, and Muslims are free to oppress others, Muslims will no longer feel oppressed.

*

Blair missed the bus.

The sometime leader of the Liberal Democrats summed Blair up quite well saying “He believes what he is saying at the time he says it”.
Which explains why a red hot Guardian reader calls him Baloney Blair. Blair thinks he is so clever he can fool all of the people all of the time.

A Jihad Watch reader nails it:

Who let them into our countries trailing behind them their aggressive attitudes, their Jihad, their multiple wives, and now their multiplying broods who become radicalized by the imams at the mosques into Jihad fighters? Why was this allowed to happen? Lack of forethought? Ignorance of this ‘religion’ of peace? Obviously, there needs to be a complete audit of the whole government apparatus, a complete systems check, to see where freedom failed to reign in these imports of hostile masses who now wish us ill. So your questions, or statements, are not to be directed at Muslims, since they are cast to be as they are, as they had been for 1400 years, and our challenging their ideology will not only fall on deaf ears, but will be misunderstood in its entirety. The real questions should be asked of us, ourselves, of both the electorate and our leadership: What are these hostile people doing here? And who let them in?

That is the question, Mr. Blair, not asked of Muslims, but asked of us. We let this happen on your vigil, and your predecessor’s vigil, and now we are reaping the dubious benefits of bad policy. How can this be reversed? Ask us.

More London bombings on way, warns Muslim

UK Islamist leader claims Brits ready to carry out ‘many attacks’

JERUSALEM – The thwarted car bombings in London last week and the terror attack this weekend against Scotland’s busiest airport were “completely justified” and likely the beginning of many more attacks in Britain, a prominent UK Islamist leader connected to terror supporting groups told WND yesterday.

“There is no doubt whatsoever that there will continue to be attacks against the British government, its interests and the home front as long as we see the continued British and American occupation of Muslim land in Iraq and Afghanistan, support for criminal Israel, and draconian measures taken against Muslims in the UK,” said Anjem Choudary, founder and former chief of two Islamic groups disbanded by the British authorities under antiterror legislation.

“A war is being waged against Muslims on every level. There are many in Britain who take their ideology from Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida and are ready to carry out many more attacks,” Choudary said.

For all those who haven’t seen it:

Anjem Chaudary is a ‘good Muslim’- he tells the truth:

Choudary said the attempted terror attacks the past few days were “probably carried out by local British Muslims.”

Choudary currently presents himself as an Islamic lecturer and a leader of Britain’s Shariah Islamic court. He is a founder and former chief of Al Muhajiroun, a British group that sought to impose an Islamic state on the UK and that was allied with the goals of al-Qaida.

Al Muhajiroun, officially disbanded by the British government citing antiterrorism laws in 2004, and its main leader, Omar Bakri Muhammad, were banned from the UK in 2005. Choudary then became a leader of Al Ghurabaa, which was reportedly a continuation of Al Muhajiroun. Al Ghurabaa was banned in 2006 by the UK for reportedly supporting terrorism.

Former Al Muhajiroun members led by Choudary reportedly continue their activism at public protests and on Internet forums under a new banner group called Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah.
choudaryprotest.jpg

Protest last week outside London’s Central Mosque (WND photo)

Choudary last weekend led a protest outside London’s Central Mosque attended by WND and Talk Radio Network’s “The Rusty Humphries Show.” The protest called for the downfall of the British government for offering nighthood to novelist and essayist Salman Rushdie, who was accused by Muslims of defaming Islam and Muhammad in his 1998 book “The Satanic Verses.”

Depictions of British flags were burned at Choudary’s protest. Ralliers chanted, “Down with Britain, down with the Queen.”

Choudary told WND the perpetuators of the attempted terror attacks in London the past few days “have their own justifications for carrying out their plans.”

“Muslims in Britain are under siege. There has been unjustified internment, innocent Muslims are in prison, extradition laws have been applied for made up crimes, individuals are arbitrarily arrested. … Don’t be surprised when Muslims fight back,” he said.

* ‘Fighting crime causes more crime’- only nutroots and moonbats understand this kind of logic…

British police said they arrested five people yesterday in conjunction with the airport attack carried out by two men driving a fuel-filled Jeep rammed into Scotland’s busiest airport. Police called the incident a terrorist attack linked to failed car bombings in London last week. The two men in the Jeep, who witnesses described as Asians, were immediately taken into custody. According to reports, one of them men was wearing an explosive device around his waist, said to be a suicide-bomb belt.

The airport attack came barely 36 hours after police thwarted what is being described to the media by security officials as a possible al-Qaida plot in London in which two cars loaded with fuel, gas canisters and nails were left in the center of the city poised to detonate.

Newly installed British Prime Minister Gordon Brown addressed his nation yesterday, stating Britons must realize the terrorist threat their country faces is long-term and sustained and that they must remain constantly vigilant about security.

* Brown sux.

The British Home Office raised the national security alert level to “critical,” the highest ranking and one which indicates further attacks are expected imminently.

“I want all British people to be vigilant and want them to support the police and all the authorities. … I know the British people will stand together united, resolute and strong,” Brown said.

The last terror attack in Britain took place in July 2005, when four British Islamists blew themselves up on London’s transport system, killing 52 commuters.

* Don’t worry about the empty suits. Your TV sux. Forget about the BS about ‘Lady Di’ and the wankers that push this royal crapola.

This Muslim Cleric is NO Paper Tiger

Muslim cleric a danger on paper

Cameron Stewart and Richard Kerbaj

skynews_image_20070118053304.jpg

ON paper, he is now Australia’s most dangerous sheik. No other Islamic cleric in the nation can claim as many unfortunate connections to extremists and terrorists as the former boxer from Sydney’s west, 37-year-old Feiz Mohamed.

* There is a reason for that, no? Because Feiz Mohamed has a long record of hate-mongering, and there are lots of CD’s, DVD’s and publications where he preaches his filth: that ‘kufar’ are apes and swine and that ‘jihad is the pinnacle of Islam’- and that muslims should make their kid’s ‘martyr’s for the cause…

The notorious reputation of this one-time street kid and alcoholic was sealed this week when it was revealed that four Australians arrested in Lebanon for suspected extremist activities were proteges of the hardline Sheik Feiz.

Najat Elomar, the wife of one of the detained Australians, told The Weekend Australian from Tripoli last night that she was aware of Sheik Feiz’s reputation but said he had not been in Lebanon during their visit.

She said of the arrest of her husband Ahmed, a reigning Australian champion boxer: “Sometimes innocent people get arrested for simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

* ‘Innocent?’

Hardly. People around the Jihad Sheik Feiz Mohammed are there for a reason.

Sheik Feiz’s former students and friends include the nation’s first convicted terrorist, Jack Roche; the founders of Jemaah Islamiah in Australia, the Ayub brothers; Zac Mallah, who was acquitted after becoming the first person to be charged under Australia’s tough new terror laws; Rabiyah Hutchison, whose sons have been deported from Yemen; controversial hardline cleric Sheik Mohammed Orman; and most of those now facing terror charges in Sydney and Melbourne.

But who is this low-profile cleric who has built a cult-like following among troubled Lebanese youths in Sydney’s southwestern suburbs?

Unlike some of his fellow hardliners, Sheik Feiz is a complex character who is not easily stereotyped. Despite his connections, he maintains an unusually close and cordial relationship with ASIO and the AFP.

Despite living mostly in Lebanon since late 2005, Sheik Feiz has remained in regular contact with Australian authorities, who believe he has the power to both inflame and tame some of his hothead followers.

Sources say that until 2003 Sheik Feiz was mostly a force for good among Sydney’s Muslim youth, using the Koran to lure many of them away from drink, drugs and crime.

* Sources? What sources? Other islamic clerics?

“The number of people who have passed through his centre and benefited far exceeds the number who have ended up in trouble,” says one prominent Muslim who asked not to be named.

* They have become ‘good Muslims’- no doubt.

And we know what ‘good Muslims’ do to unbelievers….

“The issue, however, is that he is appealing to the same demographic of disgruntled, angry young men from which extremists and terrorists are likely to appear, so naturally, given he’s operating in that ‘market’, a small percentage of the people who he comes into contact with or who pass through his centre may end up involved in that stuff.”

* There is no evidence that there is ‘a small number of such people’- whenever we take a closer look we find that the overwhelming majority of Muslims is in on it…

The trouble for Sheik Feiz is that the ledger is now squarely against him — too many of his former students have got into trouble to allow him to claim complete immunity.

“I condemn in the highest way every act of terrorism,” Sheik Feiz said in a rare interview at his Sydney horse farm in 2003. “Go and listen to what we say, go and listen to what we teach, we oppose terrorism.”

But those who have listened to Sheik Feiz since then have heard very different words.

* Of course he does condemn ‘terrorism’ – The terror which he believes is inflicted by the infidels against the ‘ummah of believers’- for him resisting Islam is terrorism.

But he won’t tell you that…

But he will lie in your face and stab you in the back…

Read it all…

Here We Go Again: British Muslims Worry About “Backlash”

*Here again, as always, after Muslims are caught plotting mass murder of innocent civilians in the West, the mainstream media focuses on Muslim fears of a backlash that hardly ever materializes. And here again, as always, the Muslims say nothing — nothing at all — about being spurred by the latest uncovered jihad plot to start working harder to identify jihad terrorists within their ranks and turn them over to authorities.

*
(AP) Name-calling, anxiety, fear and anger rippled through Britain on Sunday after three failed bomb attacks in London and Glasgow. Government and religious leaders appealed for calm, but some Muslims braced for a backlash — while some non-Muslims looked for someone to blame.

*
The attacks sparked scattered incidents of racist abuse on the streets of London, with young white men targeting Muslim taxi drivers and others of South Asian appearance. Glasgow lawmaker Mohammad Sarwar said some Muslims in Scotland had been threatened or targeted with abusive graffiti.

Oh, horror of horrors. Thousands of non-Muslims were targeted and threatened with mass murder. What does Sarwar have to say about what he plans to do to keep that from happening again?

8088fc57-bd6f-d32c-0028256ef6a64d16.jpg

“I have spoken to a number of people from the Muslim community and the Asian community who feel very angry,” he told British Broadcasting Corp. radio.
He said Scottish Muslim leaders were meeting in Glasgow to discuss the attacks’ impact on their community.

“They’re concerned about a backlash and that’s why the emergency meeting has been called.”

Muslim anger was directed at the terrorists — but also at a society some felt singles Muslims out for scrutiny whenever there is a terrorist attack.

“We are seething with anger about this,” said Osama Saeed, Scottish spokesman for the Muslim Association of Britain.

“As a community not only are we just as likely to be victims as anyone else, but we are also looked to in order to provide direction and in some respects take responsibility for this,” he added.

“We are sick of being defined as a community by terrorism and having to answer for it.”

Then do more to prevent it, and voila! Insults and fears of backlash will evansce!

On an official level, government and Islamic groups say they have made great strides since July 7, 2005, when four British Muslims blew themselves up on the London transport system, killing 52 commuters.
In the weeks that followed, several mosques were attacked by arsonists, while others received hate mail. Some women reported having their traditional head scarves pulled off in the street.

Relations between the government and many British Muslims had already been strained by the unpopular wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Many Muslims also feel they were unfairly targeted for suspicion and have born the brunt of the government’s tough new anti-terror measures.

They are not being unfairly targeted for suspicion. How many British Hindus have plotted terror attacks? British Jews? British Anything Else But Muslims?

The government has made a point of reaching out to Muslim groups and consulting with umbrella organizations like the Muslim Council of Britain, which represents more than 400 affiliated mosques and organizations.
Gordon Brown, who took over as prime minister from Tony Blair on Wednesday, appointed Shahid Malik, an up-and-coming legislator from northern England, as the country’s first-ever Muslim government minister.

On Sunday, Brown stressed the need to isolate extremists from the broader Muslim community.

“We have got to separate those great moderate members of our community from a few extremists who wish to practice violence and inflict maximum loss of life in the interests of a perversion of their religion,” he said.

Yes, we keep hearing that. That sounds like what Blair said after 7/7. And now two years after that, how much progress have we made?

Useful idiots cue up to assist Islamic terrorists:

Scotland’s First Minister: No community will be “scapegoated” after jihad terror attacks

Apparently Alex Salmond holds to the Muslim Council of Britain’s view (via IslamOnline, LGF) that the terrorists in Britain could just as well be Buddhists. The problem with this is that, while no innocent people should be scapegoated, Salmond is just one of a long list of officials who refuse to face the fact that attackers such as those we have seen in Britain over the last few days couldn’t just as well be Buddhists, but rather arise from the Islamic community, and base their actions upon Islamic principles. Until officials get over their fear of “scapegoating” and deal with that realistically, we are going to see many more attacks. with thanks to

“Salmond: Not Looking For Scapegoats,” from SkyNews:

Scotland’s new First Minister, Alex Salmond, has promised that no community will be “scapegoated” because of the terror attack on Glasgow Airport.
After praising the response of the emergency services after a burning Jeep was rammed into the airport’s terminal building, he said the police would not be looking for scapegoats.

“Community bonds will remain strong,” he said.

He added that terror attacks were opportunistic rather than discriminatory and repeated calls for the public to remain vigilant.

Opportunistic rather than discriminatory? I’m not sure what that means, but perhaps Salmond is trying to say that Muslims might have been killed too, had all the plots been successful. And that is true, but they were nevertheless jihad plots, and ultimately can only be dealt with effectively as such.

3393938244-london-mayor-defends-muslims-bomb-plot-foiled-1.jpg

‘Red Ken’ Livingstone, London’s commie-ratbag mayor, tops it up:

LONDON (AFP) London Mayor Ken Livingstone called on Britons Saturday not to demonize Muslims after a double car bomb plot was foiled in the capital, amid fears of a Islamist terror threat.
At the same time he criticized Britain over its ties with Saudi Arabia, which he said had fuelled intolerance in the past through its Wahhabist form of Islam, creating a “major problem.”

“In this city, Muslims are more likely to be law-abiding than non-Muslims and less likely to support the use of violence to achieve political ends than non-Muslims,” he told BBC Radio.

Really? And what terror plots have non-Muslims perpetrated recently in London?

Red Ken sees it all as a racial issue, when it is an ideological one. There is much in the jihad ideology that does make Muslims more of a threat to non-Muslim society than others are. But the Mayor has never examined the evidence for this, and probably never will.

UK Jihad Doctors!

Two Terror Suspects Are Hospital Doctors

* Terrorism is all caused by poverty, right? ‘Lets just give them what they want and the bombing will stop’- that’s what we hear from the hateful far left nutroots who just can’t get over their ‘why can’t we all just get along’- muliculti-diversity ideology, even if it costs them their own necks….

20070701glasgowairport02.jpg

Allahpundit points out this image from the Daily Mail, showing the terrorist with most of his clothes burned off, trying to open the Jeep’s rear door:

Perhaps now we can cross ‘poverty’ off the list of root causes:

Sky Crime Reporter Martin Brunt said two of the men arrested, one at Glasgow airport and one on the M6, are believed to be hospital doctors working in the UK.

He said: “This is very far removed from the picture we normally have. These are professional people with highly paid jobs who are intent on killing people.”

Meanwhile a suspect car has been blown up by police in the grounds of the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where one of the suspects from the Glasgow airport attack is in a critical condition and being held under armed guard.

The hospital was cordoned off and army disposal experts called in to carry out the controlled explosion. Strathclyde Police said they believed the car was connected to the attack at Glasgow airport but did not contain explosives.

Why blow up a car if it doesn’t contain explosives?

20070701glasgowairport03.jpg

Here are the gas canisters with which they tried to create a sort of homemade fuel-air explosion

Doctor’s house searched

Anti-terror police swooped on what is thought to be the home of a hospital doctor as part of the investigation into the failed car bombings in London and Glasgow.

A police cordon and tent were in place at the detached property in a suburban cul-de-sac in north Staffordshire.

The Metropolitan Police would neither confirm nor deny that the search was linked to arrests of a man and woman on the M6 in Cheshire yesterday.

Officers arrived at the house in Sunningdale Grove, Chesterton, last night, said residents. The house, they said, was rented by a doctor thought to be married with one young child.

Update: Two doctors held over terrorist attacks

While police swoop on motorway to arrest woman in a veil

One of the doctors, the man arrested on the M6, was said to be a Jordanian-born doctor at the North Staffordshire Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent.

He lived with his wife and baby in a rented house in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, where forensic officers were carrying out a detailed search last night.

The doctor is suspected of having played a key role in the planning of the terror strikes.

One of the two men overpowered as they attacked Glasgow Airport has 90 per cent burns and is too badly injured to be interviewed, but the second was being questioned last night.

Police believe they are all part of a previously unknown Al Qaeda-linked cell made up of people of Middle Eastern origin.

* They are not ‘Al Qaeda-‘ they are good Muslims and they all read the Koran.
The doctor involved in the Glasgow attack is an Iraqi who is thought to have been granted asylum in the UK while a third suspect comes from Lebanon.

At least one other member of the cell was still being hunted last night.

Bitches Brew

* Regardless of what you may think of the Iraq war, the way the far left wack-jobs from the MSM sell out the troops is despicable. It is treasonous, shameful and it amounts to sabotage. Besides, it is aiding and abetting the enemy at a time of war.

* Here is a particular revolting piece about how Time magazine slanders and defames the troops:

TIME and Haditha Lies

The Time Magazine Debacle

It is interesting to note just how erroneous the media’s reporting on that incident was as exemplified by Washington Post reporter Ellen Knickmeyer who six months later took the word of a so-called “Iraqi witness” from Haditha and reported that the men in the cab “happened upon the scene inadvertently” while riding in the cab.

The Haditha Hoax!

Nat Helms is author of a new book, “My Men Are My Heroes” which provides an account of the incredible bravery of Sgt. Brad Kasal in the second battle of Fallujah.
He stated that Knickmeyer wrote about a witness who said that the taxi driver turned onto the street and saw the wrecked Humvee and the Marines, and then the cab driver tried to back away at full speed. The Marines opened fire from about 30 yards away, killing all the men inside the taxi. Dela Cruz reportedly pumped his 30-round M-16 magazine into the car when they tried to run.
Even worse, later media reports said the cab carrying four known insurgents was occupied by four “college students,” along with the cab driver, who were on their way to school.
These false reports however, pale in the face of the role played by Time magazine Tim McGirk and Time itself. According to McGirk’s first story, a “budding journalism student” had given him a video he had taken after the killing of the civilians in the houses near the site of the IED explosion.

The Time reporter who fabricated the Haditha Hoax, based on the word of the enemy after a firefight!

Almost immediately, Time had to correct the story, revealing that the “budding journalism student” was actually 43-year-old Taher Thabet al-Hadithi who just happened to be on hand to videotape the aftermath of the killing in the houses.
Time also identified al-Hadithi as head of something called the Hammurabi Organization for Human Rights and Democracy Monitoring. Time reported that the Hammurabi Human Rights group was affiliated with Human Rights Watch. Human Rights Watch vehemently denied they had any connection or any ties or association with the Hammurabi Human Rights Group, and Time wrote a retraction.
It was then revealed that the Hammurabi Human Rights group was a group of two: Hadithi and Ali Omar Abrahem al-Mashhadani, a Reuters News Service reporter who was previously arrested by U.S. Marines in his home town of Ramadi and underwent weeks of interrogation at the infamous Abu Ghraib Prison.
His American warders told Reuters that he was released in a general amnesty in late 2005 along with about 500 other Iraqi prisoners. Reuters also reported that he spent five months in U.S. custody before being released without charges.
Three months later al-Mashhadani was the darling of Time magazine, Nat Helms wrote sarcastically.
NewsMax can now reveal that the battalion S2 knew that the insurgents were following their usual practice of videotaping an ambush. And it was a series of cell phone communications between Hadithi and Mashhadani, both known insurgents, that alerted the Marines to the impending ambush.

False Charges Under False Pretenses

The New York Times also has a shameful record of siding with the enemy. The NYT gleefully reports schlock like this:

2 U.S. Soldiers Charged With Murder of 3 Iraqis

Really makes you wonder which side they’re on…

Mein Kampf sales soar in Turkey

 * This is hardly news.  Mein Kampf and Adolph Hitler (‘because he killed the Joozzz’) were already very popular way back in the sixties and seventies, when this writer traveled around Turkey.

Mein Kampf, the book Hitler wrote in prison before he rose to power in 1933, has become a bestseller in Turkey, provoking consternation.
The dreams of creating a master race are being snapped up by young Turks. Its publishers believe that more than 100,000 copies have been sold in the past two months.

Its sudden appeal has alarmed Turkey’s Jewish community and is causing concern in the EU. A German diplomat said its success “might not give the right signals” to Europeans in advance of Turkey’s opening accession talks in October.

* Turkey must NEVER become part of the EU…

“Obviously we’re very concerned,” Ivo Molinas, one of Turkey’s 25,000 Jews, said in Istanbul. “This is a democratic country and the book can’t be banned, but it would be good if the Turkish government openly said they don’t like it being sold. Unfortunately, there has been no such approach.”
Although Jews have been assured by booksellers and the publishers that their motives are “purely commercial and not ideological”, Jewish officials say the book’s popularity has coincided with a wave of anti-semitic articles in the press.

Mr Molinas, a columnist in the weekly Shalom, said: “There has been a big increase in articles attacking us in the fundamentalist and nationalist press, because of what is happening in the Middle East, the Israeli-Palestinian problem and the war in Iraq.

“That has affected readers, and I think boosted sales of Mein Kampf.” Analysts believe the book’s popularity is related to a rise in nationalism and anti-US sentiment since the invasion of Iraq. A survey last month by the Metropoll Strategic and Social Studies Centre showed that half Turkey’s 70 million people were convinced the country was surrounded by enemies.

Many Turks fear that joining the EU will expose their country to permissiveness and force them to give up treasured traditions.
