70 Years of Ataturk doesn’t make Turkey a Secular Country

* Because the jihad is permanent and relentless, and the believers have the scriptures on their side. 70 years is but an irritant in the global jihad for conquest and domination, until Islam is the only religion and the sharia the law of the land.

* Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a convicted Islamist who did jail- time for his beliefs, doesn’t beat around the bush:

“Democracy is but a train which be board [ascend], until we have arrived at our goal. The mosques are our Barracks, the minarets our bayonets, the domes our helmets and the believers are our soldiers.”

Sure, there is always hope. But the masses of primitive Muhammedans who believe the world belongs to Allah will inevitably win the upper hand:

200,000 March Against Turkey’s Leader FOX News

ANKARA, Turkey _ More than 200,000 Turks protested against Turkey’s Islamic-rooted prime minister Saturday, demonstrating the intense opposition he could face from Turkey’s secular establishment if he decides to run for president next month.

Protesters called on the government to resign and chanted slogans including, “We don’t want an imam as president.”

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has brandished his strong religious convictions while at the same time pushing Turkey toward European Union membership, represents a challenge to secularists’ traditional approach to government in this 99-percent Muslim country. Many fear that if he or someone close to him wins the presidency, the government will be able to implement an Islamist agenda without opposition.

But with Erdogan’s popularity and firm control over parliament, his opponents may have little power to stop him if he does decide to run. His party was elected to an overwhelming majority in parliament and can appoint whomever it wants to the presidency.

The pro-secular military retains a strong influence over politics, however, and in 1997 generals pressured Erdogan’s mentor out of the prime minister’s office because he was viewed as excessively religious. Any serious tensions between the government and the military could have a serious effect on the economy, analysts warn.

* Turkey’s economy is a joke: A Potemkinish construct propped up by the jiziyah paid by the EU-dhimmies…

* But stop looking for skeletons in the closet, you islamophobe, you!

Kadra was attacked and beaten senseless by seven or eight persons of Somali origin, newspaper VG reports.

“I was terrified. While I lay on the pavement they kicked me and screamed that I had trampled on the Koran. Several shouted Allah-o-akbar (God is great) and also recited from the Koran,” Kadra told VG.

Kadra linked the attack to recent remarks in VG where she said that the Koran’s views on women needed to be reinterpreted.

Kadra said that the gang of Somali men attacked her around 3 a.m. in downtown Oslo on Thursday. A medical examination found that she had several broken ribs, NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting) reports. Kadra filed charges and was due to speak with police on Friday.

The Islamic Council Norway (IRN) condemned the attack on Kadra and urged that she pursue the matter with police.

“Behavior where one goes to physical attack on someone you disagree with violates Islamic teaching and the prophet Muhammad’s sunnah (lifestyle). We strongly object to such behavior,” the IRN said in a press release.

* Lie and deny, deceiving infidels is mandatory in the jihad conquest

Kadra’s role in a 2000 hidden camera TV documentary revealing the positive attitude of Muslim leaders to female circumcision had a massive impact on Norway, and sparked new legislation.

Canada Jihad: Montreal Muslims Charged With Firebombing Jewish Center

* Once again, it’s a total mystery where they might have learned such violent, murderous hatred.

The pair were arrested Thursday morning and questioned. The investigation did not turn up links to any terrorist or hate groups, said Constable Christian Emond, of the Montreal police fraud and arson squad.

Two Montreal men have been accused of a raft of attacks against the city’s Jewish community, including the firebombing of a Snowdon community centre that police are treating as a hate-related crime.

Omar Bulphred, 21, and Azim Ibragimov, 23, appeared briefly in Quebec Court on Friday to be arraigned on charges stemming from incidents that began last fall. Both were denied bail.

Perhaps the police investigators should watch some of these videos:

Religion of Peace Bombs Casablanca

* Of course NOT. They are bombing only US diplomatic offices in Casablanca, and Al Reuters proudly reports that it is the ‘first such targeted bombing in the last four years’- oh well…

Two bombers attack U.S. targets in Morocco

CASABLANCA, Morocco (Reuters) – Two suicide bombers killed themselves in an attack on U.S. diplomatic offices in Morocco’s commercial hub Casablanca on Saturday in the first such targeted bombings in four years, witnesses said.

Police arrested a third bomber as he tried to flee the scene of the mid-morning attack on the U.S. cultural centre and the nearby U.S. consulate in an upscale district of the port city, where three suicide bombers blew themselves up four days ago.

“He threw down his explosives belt and ran away. Police chased him and caught him,” said the owner of a coffee shop in the neighborhood, who declined to be identified.

They also later arrested the leaders of the armed group to which the two suicide bombers and those responsible for Tuesday’s blasts belonged, a security official said.

Australia to ban books advocating terrorism

* Will that include the Koran and the teaching of jihad (inner struggle) against unbelievers?

AFP/File Photo: Attorney-General Philip Ruddock announced the Australian government plans to outlaw books that advocate terrorism…

The Australian government plans to outlaw books that advocate terrorism in a move that publishers say raises serious concerns abut free speech.

Federal Attorney-General Philip Ruddock announced late Friday that his state counterparts had agreed to consider legislative changes banning publications that advocate terrorism.

He said the planned changes were part of a “zero tolerance” approach to terrorism from Canberra, a strong supporter of the US-led military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“Books, games, videos, anything that is seen to be advocating a terrorist act would be refused classification, therefore could not be marketed,” Ruddock told public radio.

He said that under existing laws, a publication can only be banned if it is deemed to directly “promote, incite or instruct” readers to engage in terrorist acts.

The proposed new laws ban books that simply advocate terrorism, meaning anything that censors feel glorifies terrorism can be outlawed.

While the distinction may appear subtle, the Australian Publishers Association said it had major implications for free speech in Australia.

“The difficulty is that once you start legislating thew ability of a government to ban books or ban all types of publishing, then you have a problem that it could be the thin edge of the wedge,” association spokeswoman Maree McCaskill told ABC radio.

“We’ve already seen a number of publications taken out of libraries and taken off shelves that have been published and been around for some time, and now the government has removed those.

I have a real concern that this is about freedom of speech. It is about censorship and once you start allowing governments to censor as they feel fit, then you give them a very wide opportunity to start being the arbiter of all sorts of things that should be banned or removed from shelves.”

State attorney’s-general will report back to Canberra on the feasibility of the proposed laws by July.

What a crock of S#*T!!

Patti Smith Writes Song for Ex-Guantanamo Detainee Kurnaz

From Spiegel Online

Punk legend Patti Smith is (a clueless turd) famous for her uncompromising political stances. Now she has written a song about Murat Kurnaz, the German resident who was held in Guantanamo for over four years.

“Take my hand, come undercover, they can’t hurt you now,” sang Patti Smith in her 1978 hit “Because the Night.” The lyrics could certainly apply to the German-born Turkish citizen Murat Kurnaz, who is now back in Bremen after over four years in the United States detention camp at Guantanamo Bay.
Now the legendary singer-songwriter has composed a song about Kurnaz and his ordeal. The Chicago-born performer told German newspaper Der Tagesspiegel Thursday that she has every intention of releasing the song, titled “Without Chains,” because of her horror at the 25-year-old’s detention and treatment.

“I don’t know why he was arrested and imprisoned but I have written this song for him as an emotional reaction to the whole episode,” Smith told the newspaper.

“When I look at this young man … I ask myself how I would react if my son had gone off travelling somewhere and was imprisoned by some government for five years just because they entertained some suspicions about him?”

Kurnaz was arrested in Pakistan just weeks after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and handed over to the US authorities. He eventually landed in Guantanamo Bay where he says he was tortured until his release without charges in August 2006.

* Right. She admits she doesn’t know shit but she makes a song about it because she has an emotional reaction coming on…

In October 2002, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who was then chief of staff to former Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, led a committee of German secret service officals which voted against allowing Kurnaz to return to Germany.
Last month, Steinmeier told a parliamentary committee that he blocked Kurnaz’s return in light of the country’s security concerns after the 9/11 attacks. He said Kurnaz, who now lives in the northern German city of Bremen, was categorised as a possible radical Islamist sleeper and security risk.

Smith’s new album “Twelve,” which will be released later this month, contains her covers of songs by artists including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Neil Young. Smith, who has long been known for her outspoken political views and her criticisms of the Bush administration, was inducted earlier this year into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Kurnaz and the Al Qaeda War Manual

Religious Freedom Treatened at UN

Freedom is freedom. Thats not what Muslims want.

Even some of our leaders are clueless about freedom like this one here:

ISLAMABAD: Former US president Bill Clinton on Friday condemned the publication of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) caricatures by European newspapers and urged countries concerned to convict the publishers.

ARLINGTON, VA (ANS) — On Friday, the United Nations passed a seemingly innocuous resolution combating the “defamation of religions.” Further investigation reveals that this motion has erroneously equated legitimate discussion of religious beliefs with the incitement of religious intolerance. Under this resolution, when an individual’s religious sensitivities are offended – no matter the intent or consequences of the opinions expressed – the state must protect the religion from being defamed, or blasphemed.

* Ed sez: Freedom to practice your religion is first and foremost freedom from religion

Lying at the heart of this resolution is an attempt by the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to impose universal anti-blasphemy laws – an offence punishable by death in many countries – thereby stifling open discussion of religious beliefs.

This is a troubling development, especially since countries across the globe are increasingly using anti-blasphemy laws to punish religious minorities for questioning the beliefs of the majority religion. Such laws are no longer confined to Islamic countries; they are now being called for in democratic societies. Individuals who came to the West to escape persecution are once again in danger.

Attending the UN Human Rights Council was Pastor Daniel Scott; the first person tried under the blasphemy laws in Pakistan. Astonishingly, he fled to Australia twenty years ago only to be accused of religious intolerance for a message he gave on the differences between Christianity and Islam. By equating the expression of differences of belief with religious intolerance, the sponsors of this resolution reveal their own intolerance of differing viewpoints.

It is surely no coincidence that the key proponents of this resolution are also those countries that have a history of religious intolerance. For instance Pakistan, which sponsored this resolution on behalf of the OIC, has the harshest blasphemy laws in the world and consistently imposes them on religious minorities such as Pastor Scott.

‘Inner Struggle” Video

While we  Australians, Europeans and Americans are watching ball games, go to clubs and pubs, lefty loony teachers indoctrinate our kids with ‘diversity’-fantasy and our politicians sing the old multiculti-song “all-cultures-and-religions-are equal”-   NOBODY seems to care that our enemies are getting ready for the coming love-fest:

Al Qaeda Calls for Reconquest of Al Andaluz (again)

While Spain is being overrun with militant Muhammedan illegals from Africa, Al Qaeda is active on the propaganda and recruitment front. Land that was once conquered by Islam must remain Islamic at all cost. And since all the world and the riches of the infidels belong to the soldiers of Allah, the jihad continues.
Madrid (dpa) – The emergence of a new al-Qaeda-linked organization in Northern Africa is alarming Spain, which is concerned about Islamists’ calls for the reconquest of the country they regard as a lost part of the Muslim world. “We will not be in peace until we set our foot again in our beloved al-Andalus,” al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb said on claiming responsibility for an attack which killed at least 24 people in Algiers on Wednesday.
Al-Andalus is the Moorish name for Spain, parts of which were ruled by Muslims for about eight centuries until the last Moorish bastion, Granada, succumbed to the Christian Reconquest in 1492.

The terrorists will undoubtedly attempt to extend their offensive from Northern Africa to European soil, anti-terrorism judge Baltasar Garzon warned, cautioning that Spain was at a “very high risk” of suffering an Islamist attack.

The reference to al-Andalus was not the first by al-Qaeda, which has also vowed to put an end to the Spanish “occupation” of the enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla on the Moroccan coast….

The Algerian-based al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, formerly known as the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), intends to federate North African Islamist cells under a common umbrella.

Some of the people who could attack Spain may already be in the country, where nearly 80 per cent of prison inmates jailed on charges related to international terrorism have come from Northern Africa over the past five years.

Islamist radicals proselytize at an estimated 10 per cent of Spain’s hundreds of unofficial mosques, which operate in garages, basements and the like.

Spain has become an important base for the recruitment of suicide bombers who are sent to Iraq, according to press reports. Some of the fighters are believed to be trained in new al-Qaeda camps in Sahel countries such as Mali, Niger or Mauritania.

Canberra Jihad: Most Senior Muslim Cleric praises Islamic jihadists in Iraq and Afghanistan

From the Herald Sun

* Why bother, Swaiti? All us English speakers know that jihad is just an inner spiritual struggle. That’s what your coreligionists here in the U.S. tell us all the time. And they warn us that only wicked, wretched, frenziedly racist Islamophobes believe jihad has anything to do with warfare! So we know you meant that you hoped Allah granted victory to all the inner spiritual strugglers in “Palestine,” and Chechnya and Kashmir and Afghanistan and Iraq — right? Right?

* No doubt Gavin King  flash-as-a-rat-with-a-gold_thumb2.jpg would call him a ‘dinki di Australian’ and vilify anyone in his fishwrap who disagrees with his befuddlement with the ‘inner struggle jihad’ –

THE most senior Muslim cleric in Canberra has praised Islamic jihadists in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Mohammed Swaiti yesterday called on God to grant “victory to mujahideen (Muslim holy warriors)” worldwide, The Weekend Australian newspaper reports.

“God grant victory to the mujahideen in his name in all places,” Sheik Swaiti called out twice in Arabic over a microphone at Abu Bakr mosque in Yarralumla in front of about 500 worshippers.

“God grant victory to mujahideen in Palestine, and Chechnya and Kashmir and Afghanistan and Iraq.”

While Sheik Swaiti translated his sermon into English for non-Arabic-speaking members, the imam of Canberra’s only mosque omitted the praise for Islamic jihadists in the English version.

After the sermon the Palestinian-born cleric denied he was referring to Muslim holy fighters, saying jihad referred not only to fighting but also to self-discipline.

“Jihad means no alcohol and no gambling,” Sheik Swaiti told the newspaper.

* Go on Sheik! Paint a pussy on my cheek! Lie and deny, because Mohammed said ‘War Is Deceit’- but it always works with the useful idiots, why change now?

“If we followed the jihad of the self … and followed the Koran, the whole world will be in peace.”

* Right, Sheik, unfortunately ‘pieces’ and peace is not the same thing, but if you say so: I feel the Islamo-peace a’coming already:

But Islamic Society of ACT president Sabrija Poskovic rejected the cleric’s suggestion he was not referring to fighters in his sermons.

He said the cleric was too radical and preached the wrong Islamic messages.

* No, not wrong. He is a ‘good’ Muslim and he preaches the warfare of the Koran and the Sunnah. He follows Mohammed. And Jihad is ‘the pinnacle of Islam’…
