As usual, the enemedia can’t spin it enough to blame those opposing the burqa with “causing offense”- can’t offend poor widdle muslims now, can we?

The aggressive mob of young muselmaniacs who ripped the burqa off from one of the protesters gets no mention. Will the police charge him with assault? I won’t be holding my breath:

“Sydneysiders extremely offended by the male protesters wearing the burqa”

In this second vid (thanks to Vlad) you can see the criminal aggression of the Koranimals who go straight into attack mode: (will post as soon as it becomes available)
xxxxxxxxxxx

A group of protesters wearing burqas gathered in various places in Sydney today to argue for Australia to ban the face veil.

They say the wearing of the Islamic headwear donned by women, should be outlawed because they pose a security risk.

Security and police were called when the burqa-clad non-Muslims incited anger outside state Parliament House.

Members of the public were extremely offended by the male protesters wearing the burqa.

Zubeda Raihman from the Muslim Women’s National Network says, “I think it is pretty offensive because we live in this democratic country and we are given the freedom of choice.”

The only “offended” comment the 7-network offers its viewers is the opinion of a muselmanic agit-prop?

The group ventured to the Downing Centre Local Court, a city pub, a bank, and the NSW Parliament House.

The Bunglawussi knows who is to blame:

Ugly scenes erupted between a group of burqa-clad protesters and a Muslim man outside NSW State Parliament in Sydney today.

A group of men dressed in the veiled female garb as a publicity stunt to try and get the outfit banned. Members of the group Faceless ventured into a Sydney CBD courthouse, pub and bank without drawing much reaction, but faced a stronger backlash later outside parliament. “It’s got no place in Australia – it’s an affront to a civilised country like Australia,” Faceless member Nicholas Folkes said of the burqa.

Nine News filmed a man outraged by the protesters, shouting in their faces and pulling off their veils. “That’s what I think of you,” the man said after spitting on the ground. The argument became more heated when a man connected to Faceless referred to the prophet Mohammed as “a rat”.

Folkes (who lost his veil during the confrontation) is the Sydney organiser of the far-right Australian Protectionist Party. Another of the “burqa” demonstrators was APP supporter Sergio Redegalli, the man responsible for the notorious “Say No to Burqas“/”Say No to Fiona Byrne” mural.

(no, Folkes didn’t “lose” his veil, one of the Koranimals ripped it off. Try this with a Muselmama and all hell breaks lose!)

More burqa stories:

Jailed cleric Maulana Abdul Aziz, one of two brothers who ran Islamabad’s radical Red Mosque, was caught fleeing the violence at his mosque dressed in a burka.
That’s right. Chose wisely. Wrap yourself in shrouds. Or else:

Journalism ethics, PalArab style

From Ma’an:

Extremists desecrated a Quran in West Jerusalem on Monday, a Pal-Arab from Bethlehem said Tuesday.

No evidence. But Arabs go apeshit anyway:

This story fits in with Ma’an’s tradition of publishing even the most absurd claims (like Jews raising wild boars and setting them loose to antagonize Arab farmers) as fact. In this case, the story is already picked up by Hamas’ AlQassam website and it will spread from there into, possibly, violent riots.
A great pickup by Omri from Mere Rhetoric (via email), quoting The Guardian:

…With a cast of extras in the costumes of Romans and early Palestinians, the park advertises itself as “a place where everyone can learn about the origins of spirituality“.

Yes, Jesus and his neighbors were all “early Palestinians” who gave the world the origins of spirituality. I guess that the Jewish imperialist dogs only invaded the area around 1948 to unfairly punish the innocent native Palestinian descendants of Jesus’ disciples.

But, to be fair, I’m pretty sure that the Guardian would consider Judas to be a Jew.

Jerusalem – A $100 million “challenge grant” from George Soros to Human Rights Watch (HRW) will not contribute to universal human rights, but will instead allow expansion of the biases and ideologies that have severely damaged this organization’s reputation, notes NGO Monitor, a Jerusalem-based research institution.

“Human Rights Watch was founded to promote a noble moral mission, but unfortunately acts in a very immoral manner,” says Professor Gerald Steinberg, president of NGO Monitor. “HRW claims to be ‘even-handed’ and to publish ‘credible reports,’ but this is contradicted by highly biased activities in the Middle East, particularly on the Arab-Israeli conflict. Time and again, HRW reports on Israel are based on false or unverifiable claims, and the analysis strips away the context of the conflict, denying Israelis the right to self-defense. George Soros has supported this travesty.” (NGO Monitor)

NSW Premier Kristina Keneally says her government will not support a ban on the burqa, the head and body veil worn by some Muslim women, because “such a ban has no place in multicultural NSW”.

You can contact Keneally here and tell her what you think….

Birds of a feather: NSW Premier Kristina Keneally with fellow moonbat Cate Blanchett

Christian Democratic Party MP Fred Nile had called on both major parties to allow members a conscience vote on his private member’s bill, which was introduced into Parliament in June.

Mr Nile wants NSW to follow a growing number of European countries trying to ban women from wearing in public the burqa and the niqab, a veil with a narrow opening for the eyes.

Interfaith kumbaya for the Muslim vote:

However, at an interfaith dinner with about 300 religious leaders last night, Ms Keneally announced that cabinet had decided to oppose the Full-face Coverings Prohibition Bill, which is modelled on legislation recently passed by the Belgian Parliament.

“We are fortunate to live in a largely harmonious state where differences in language, culture and faith are rightly seen as things which enliven and strengthen our society,” Ms Keneally said.

“It is in this spirit that the NSW Government has decided to oppose the bill seeking to create a criminal offence of wearing a burqa in public places.”

Mr Nile said he was disappointed that MPs would not be allowed a conscience vote when the bill returns to Parliament next month.

“The bill is an exact copy of that passed in Belgium – it’s not extreme or radical legislation,” he said.

Mr Nile said the burqa oppressed women and could be used as a disguise by terrorists.

He claimed his bill had some support with both the government and opposition.

“I was hoping we would at least get a conscience vote, so individual members of Parliament could at least vote for and against the legislation,” he told Macquarie Radio.

“It seems like the cabinet has decided to clamp down on that freedom of expression … and gag Labor Party members.”

The cabinet decision follows a recent ruling in a Perth court that a Muslim woman must remove her full covering should she give evidence in a fraud trial.

The NSW Greens have already said they were opposed to the ban, labelling it racist.

But Islam is not a race…..

Without government support, the bill now has little chance of success.

Not that this has anything to do with Islam or Muslims imposing sharia. But what if it does?

A memo sent by bosses at Southampton City Council, in southern England, has instructed the council’s 400 staff to dress appropriately for work, The Daily Mail reports.

Stay tuned for carbeques & riots, something that doesn’t ‘stigmatize’ Muslims!

PARIS AP — France’s lower house of parliament has approved a ban on burqa-like Islamic veils, a move that is popular among French voters despite serious concerns from Muslim groups and human rights advocates.

There were 336 votes for the bill and just one against at the National Assembly. Most members of the main opposition group, the Socialist Party, refused to participate in the vote.

Following Tuesday’s vote, the ban on face-covering veils will go in September to the Senate, where it also is likely to pass. Its biggest hurdle will likely come after that, when France’s constitutional watchdog scrutinizes it.

The main body representing French Muslims says face-covering veils are not required by Islam, and it worries that the law will stigmatize all Muslims.

“Not required” but then they are fanatical enough to riot and kill for it. And then they whine about being ‘stigmatized?’ What kind of queer and twisted logic is that?

But that would put France on a collision course with the EUnion, which in and of itself would be fun and more then a little interesting to watch.

Klein Verzet adds this:

In the mean time, support for the burqa ban comes from some unexpected quarters. ViaEuropeNews we learn about Mona Eltahawy, an Egyptian-born journalist who calls herself “a liberal, a Muslim and a feminist”. And a staunch supporter of the ban:

I support banning the burqa because I believe it equates piety with the disappearance of women. The closer you are to God, the less I see of you — and I find that idea extremely dangerous. It comes from an ideology that basically wants to hide women away. What really strikes me is that a lot of people say that they support a woman’s right to choose to wear a burqa because it’s her natural right. But I often tell them that what they’re doing is supporting an ideology that does not believe in a woman’s right to do anything. We’re talking about women who cannot travel alone, cannot drive, cannot even go into a hospital without a man with them.

Mrs. Eltahawy could teach our home-grown ‘feminists’ (which for all intents and purposes are just the female variety of cultural marxists hell bent on the destruction of Western Civilization) a thing or two about what it truly means to stand up for women.

THE Reverend Fred Nile says he will continue his fight for a ban on the Islamic head and body veil after his private member’s bill foundered in Parliament yesterday.

The Christian Democrats MP wants NSW to follow a growing list of European countries which have moved to ban women from wearing the full head and body covering in public.

Rev Nile’s Full-face Coverings Prohibition Bill, which is modelled on legislation recently passed by the Belgium Parliament, would see any person wearing a a burqa or niqab while in public liable for a $550 fine.

Anyone who compels another person to wear such a covering could be fined $1100 and a person’s religious or cultural belief would not be a reasonable excuse.

“The time to act is now, the world is debating this issue right now,” Rev Nile said.

Well, we may as well start debating the benefits of Islamic immigration altogether. What say you?

However the Government, Opposition and Greens blocked his motion to debate the merits of the bill, meaning it is unlikely to go any further soon.

Muslim Labor MP Shaoquett Moselmane said considering the bill would “spread fear and division”.

Rev Nile said the issue was “the elephant in the room” and politicians were unwilling to touch a sensitive subject.

“They hope it will go away but I’ll continue to keep raising it until I get a debate on the bill.”

“I’m sure it will happen; the population in Australia in general agree with what I’m saying”

He says concealment of a person’s face – male or female – for any purpose, including terrorism, anarchism or discrimination against women, should be banned.

“We must do all we can to protect women, especially Muslim women, from discrimination and oppression so they live an open lifestyle,” Rev Nile said.

“The wearing of the burqa is a form of oppression which has no place in the 21st century.”

The Islamic dress also presented a security risk, he said, citing terrorists in the Middle East and Russia who had launched attacks while concealing their identity or weapons under a burqa.

The burqa ban debate

For and against: Female subjugation or ignoring the rights of women? Reverend Fred Nile and Muslim author and lawyer Randa Abdel-Fattah present their case.

Praising submission:

Arab women want to be claimed by men, and therefore have no objection to being subjects of a patriarchal and theocratic society in which their individual rights are abridged. Suab Joseph’s audience, which appeared to consist mostly of Center for Near Eastern Studies and Women’s Studies faculty, nodded their heads in agreement with this troubling statement. In fact, those gathered reacted favorably to the lecture overall and asked no challenging questions of the speaker. Overwhelming (if understated) evidence of the systematic and institutionalized abuse of Middle Eastern women didn’t seem to factor into the equation.

“Bans like this lead to a lose-lose situation,” said Judith Sunderland, senior Western Europe researcher at Human Rights Watch. “They violate the rights of those who choose to wear the veil and do nothing to help those who are compelled to do so.”
