Eric Holder said the decision was “a few weeks away” three months ago. Now, the decision is delayed until after the midterm elections— when the controversial plan could do less damage to the political fortunes of endangered Democrats and might face less resistance on Capitol Hill.
WTC Mosque Opponents Made Threatening Phone Calls to Community Board
Ya think? Really? I’m shocked! Shocked!
LOWER MANHATTAN — Community Board 1 has received threatening phone calls since members backed a controversial plan to build a mosque near the World Trade Center.
Shortly after the board voiced support for the Cordoba House, a 13-story mosque and community center two blocks north of the World Trade Center site, the community board office and at least one board member received menacing calls, and notified the NYPD.
Wow! A case for Homeland Security! Holder, Napolitano: WTF are you when you’re desperately needed? Aw, don’t tell me, you are busy with more important stuff:
But hey, Â not all of us are asleep at the wheel: Inequality before the law is one of the key aspects of Sharia Law. The Left, the Liberals and the Moslems, working together to destroy America and our freedoms. Its time we start working together and destroy those who want to destroy us….
Quite frankly, I’ve suspected Holder for a long time to be a closet Muzz….
Excruciating, not least of all because he ends up basically agreeing with the premise of the question. Yes, of course Shahzad “might have been incited” by radical Islam. He’s an Anwar al-Awlaki fan who went to Pakistan for bomb-training, didn’t he? And yet … he can’t quite bring himself to say that. The best he can do is a clumsy, heavily qualified admission that while Awlawki’s version of Islam is wrong, “people who espouse a radical version of Islam have had an ability to have an impact on people like Mr. Shahzad.” So palpably uncomfortable is he that I honestly feel a little sorry for him. Pathetic. Says Andy McCarthy, “How can you ever hope to stop something when you refuse even to speak its name?”
Incidentally, it’s worth reading the NYT’s recent profile of Awlaki in light of Holder’s answer; note the detail about his 53-disc boxed sets on the life of Mohammed. For a guy who’s evidently so misguided about what the Koran says, he sure has spent a lot of time studying it.

Gaddafi: Bombed by Ronald Reagan, Gaddafi  continued waging low level jihad, Condi apologized, paid compo, Berlusconi apologized for colonialism, paid compo. Last week  Gaddafi declared jihad on Switzerland. Instead of calling the air-force, Obambi apologizes …..
The global jihadist who is the leader of a Muslim nation can declare a jihad against a western nation and not apologize, but we, the leader of the free world, have to apologize for saying,”lots of words, not a lot of sense.’
A leading Muslim advocacy groupCAIR, a front for the Muslim Brotherhood in America, is pushing government officials to call the suicide plane crash in Texas “an act of terror,” saying that if a Muslim had been flying the plane there would be no hesitancy to call it terrorism.
ZIP is fed up: Red meat, here. Where was CAIR when Obama refused to call the Ft. Hood massacre an act of terror? Oh wait, the killer was a Muslim. Fucking hypocrites make me sick….
Aren’t there still laws on the books for high treason? Â I think capital punishment still applies…
Bottom line: Holder revealed no names beyond the two already publicly known. He revealed no cases from which Justice political appointees recused themselves. The letter, which will likely be interpreted on Capitol Hill as a thumb-your-nose statement, is sure to anger Republican senators more than satisfy them. More>>
No, actually, it’s quite believable. This is the Obama Administration. Which ran on a platform of: let’s shut down Guantanamo within year and give all of these guys lawyers, rights, and civilian trials.
How’s that working out for ya Sparky?
It’s not just that these are lawyers who worked to free terrorists — even terrorists need lawyers — but that some of them filed amicus curiae briefs on behalf of Guantanamo detainees. That means that they weren’t the lawyers for the terrorists, but were so outraged (outgrage!) by what Bush-Hitler was doing that they felt compelled (compelled!) to try and intervene in the cases even though they had no direct relationship with them.
I can’t believe you morons voted for this guy. He’s giving you exactly what he promised.
In another world looking in, if you saw a guy who defended terrorists for a living being appointed as Attorney General, wouldn’t that make your head spin? Nobody in the media seems to care. No scrutiny. Nothing. Â Just shows how pathetic the vetting process has become in today’s leftist controlled media.
Imagine back in the 40’s if FDR appointed a guy to AG who defended Nazi’s for a living. There would be overwhelming public outrage. Infidels are cool>>
The Kenyan Government was on Wednesday grappling with the last option available in the saga of radical Islamic preacher Abdullah al-Faisal — hiring a private jet to deport him to Jamaica, his home country.  In Jamaica, measures were being put in place to ensure security officers would continuously monitor the cleric after he landed, according to reports by a newspaper based at the island nation. Group That Alerted Media to Biblical Markings on Rifle Sights Wants Congress to Investigate ‘Military Religious Extremism’
Snake in the house: eliminate the subversives!
(CNSNews.com) – The advocacy group that brought worldwide attention to the fact that an American company has been stamping biblical references on combat rifle sights used by the U.S. military said Thursday it hoped the damage done was not “beyond repair.”
Combat rifle sights used by U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan carry references to Bible verses, stoking concerns about whether the inscriptions break a government rule that bars proselytizing by American troops.
This will play right into Obama’s hands. He’s “humanitarian, compassionate”. They’ll use this to burnish their, shall we say, “credibility” with the black community — in the both light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country. It’s made-to-order for them. That’s why he couldn’t wait to get out there, could not wait to get out there.
“America is often portrayed as an ignorant, unsophisticated sort of place, full of bible bashers and ruled to a dangerous extent by trashy television, superstition and religious bigotry, a place lacking in respect for evidence based knowledge. I know that is how it is portrayed because I have done my bit to paint that picture…” BBC’s Washington correspondent Justin Webb
