The Qur’an says a Muslim must emulate Muhammad’s manners, traditions, and practices at all time. In verses 3:132 and 4:80 Allah says that obeying Him and Muhammad (i.e., Muhammad’s examples) is mandatory. This means Muslims have no choice but to follow Muhammad’s deeds, as this constitutes the obeying the commands of Allah.

Woah; I thought we were “beyond tolerance?”

Didn’t our former High Court judge,  the homosexual activist Michael Kirby just tell us that   ”toleration is a very condescending emotion and toleration’s over as far as I’m concerned…?”

Well, looks like the Malay’s didn’t get the message yet:

ALOR GAJAH: Malacca will amend its state Islamic enactment to prosecute gays and lesbians by applying the same type of Syariah legal mechanism used against deviant Muslim sects.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said homosexuals and lesbians could be tried at the Syariah Court once the enactment was gazetted as Syariah law.

“We will revise the current enactment to specifically deal with homosexuals and lesbians in the state, including groups that promote such uncanny sex,” he said here yesterday.

Mohd Ali, who is also Malacca Islamic Religious Department chairman, said the enactment had to be revised as there was no specific law at present to prosecute such groups.

“We will suggest the enactment to also cover bisexuals and transsexuals,” he said, adding that action could also be taken against any non-governmental organisation promoting and supporting such sexual practices.

“We don’t want such unsavoury culture creeping in and damaging the moral fabric of our society,” Mohd Ali said.

Separately, he called on Sisters in Islam to drop the word “Islam” from its name as he claimed the NGO had been frequently issuing contradicting and confusing statements on Islam.

The ‘obedient wife’s club’ new book is telling its readers that a  Muslim man can have sex with all his wives at the same time, and while they’re busy doing that, they also have to fight Jews:

“Fighting Jews to return Islamic sex to the world”.

Frankly, I’m a bit confused about how this is all going to be done at once, but I’m sure some of our intrepid Muslim lurkers from loon & Spencerwatch can enlighten us how they manage. In any case, Allah’s profit was a trail-blazer for all time and any place, as we can see here:

Titillatingly-titled “Seks Islam, perangi Yahudi untk kembalikan seks Islam kepada dunia [Islamic sex, fighting Jews to return Islamic sex to the world]”, the explicit book aims to guide Muslim brides on how to pleasure their husbands in bed.

In its foreword, the pro-polygamy OWC said its studies showed women only gave their husbands 10 per cent of what the men desired of their wives’ bodies.

Malay-language daily, Berita Harian, reported today the Malay-Muslim community was upset the book featured on its front cover the polygamous leader of the outlawed Al-Arqam religious sect, Asaari Muhammad, and also objected to its extremely graphic visuals.

An extract on the back cover reads, in Bahasa Malaysia: “Selaku pemimpin roh, kebolehan yang Allah izinkan kepada mereka ialah boleh serentak dengan semua isteri-isteri melakukan hubungan jenis. Manakala kalau isteripun orang roh, lagilah hebat. Ke mana-mana terbang untuk atau sambil melakukan hubungan sulit itu dalam keadaan lebih nikmat dan lebih ringan dibanding dengan perlakuan yang menggunakan fizikal. Untuk itulah Abuya sedang proses isteri-isterinya ke arah roh.”

In English:

“As a spiritual leader, Allah has granted him the ability to have simultaneous sex with all his wives. And if the wife is spiritual, the sex is greater. They can fly anywhere for sex, it is more enjoyable and easier compared to physical sex. For that reason, Abuya was processing his wives towards the spiritual.”

The paper noted that explicit sex details littered the book’s 115 pages, and cited as another example chapter eight which deals with “how sex becomes worship”.

“Kemuncak cinta kita ialah celah kangkang. Tangan, kaki dan segalanya terdorong kuat untuk menuju ke situ [The peak of our love is the cleft in between. Hands, feet and everything are strongly driven there].”

The sex book has not been banned but Kelantan mufti, Datuk Mohamad Shukri Mohamad, has stepped into the fray to play down the emphasis of Islam on sex.

“The Al-Quran explains the ‘wife clothes the husband and you (the husband) clothes the wife. ‘Your wife is the field and therefore come to your field’,” Berita Harian quoted him saying today.

“Islam touches on sex in a civilised, polite and non-lewd manner. So we should not detail it in such a way as to give a negative impression,” Mohamad Shukri added, saying sex in Islam was described in symbolic terms.

This is the second time the OWC has hit the headlines. Previously, the club’s vice-president, Dr Rohaya Mohamad, provoked an outcry from women’s rights groups and Islamic religious authorities for advising women to behave like “a first-class whore” while in the company of their husbands if they wanted their marriages to succeed.

Nothing changes on New Year’s Day (Malaysia Today)

This is the place where Muslims no longer  pretend that ‘Allah’ is also the God of Christians of Jews: Hebrew must be a language that the anti Semitic, Jew-hating Malaysian government wants to erase from collective memories.

The new year 2011 is already more than 24 hours old here in the fair Melayu Islamic Republic.  Events in 2011, unfortunately, seem decidedly ‘old year’ with an Islamic-inspired church bombing in Egypt.  The new year looks a lot like the old year, but what else could we expect?

On television here in Malaysia today there was a programme I saw with a brief scene involving a phone call between an American character and an Israeli one. The dialog certainly involved nothing objectionable–the characters were discussing their wishes for the future and expressing their hopes for a peaceful world. And the scene wasn’t long–maybe two to three minutes at most.  But I discovered another thing that the Malaysian Guardians of Morality (i.e. the Muslim censors) do not want people to hear or see, besides the usual and profanity, violence, or nudity.

What horrible word did they remove from this conversation?  It was the word “shalom”, repeatedly and consistently removed, in that brief scene on television. I could read the lips of the actors, and considering the context, there was no doubt that this was the ‘offensive’ word in question.

So, what is so terrible about the word “shalom” that the Malaysian authorities don’t want us to hear it?  “Shalom” has multiple meanings, such as ‘peace’ and ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye’, and is used in the same way and meaning as the Arabic word “salaam”.  What could be so terribly offensive about any of those meanings?  The only conceivable reason why the Right Honorable Islamic Censors would want to omit this word from a TV show is solely because it is a Hebrew word. Hebrew must be a language that the anti Semitic, Jew-hating Malaysian government wants to erase from our collective memories. There can be no other explanation.  This thought is almost as disturbing as the carnage freshly wrought by the Islamic bomber(s) in Egypt. I am against censorship in general, but this degree of censorship is particularly appalling. We cannot and must not let these people have their way.

So let us always remember the word ‘shalom’ and especially remember the meaning of this word, for our world so desperately needs it.  Let’s all use the Hebrew words that the Malaysian government so desperately does not want the world to hear.

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP) — Malaysia’s conservative Islamic party PAS Friday demanded those behind the satirical US cartoon show “South Park” apologise to Muslims worldwide over its portrayal of the Prophet Mohammed.

On Thursday, the American channel airing the show removed all references to the prophet after a radical Muslim group threatened the show’s creators.

“Even though they have added the audio bleeps, ‘South Park’s producer and broadcaster should apologise to the Muslims as this is a sensitive issue,” PAS vice president Mahfuz Omar told AFP.

“The show itself spells of bad intention and the depiction of the Prophet is provocative. It creates religious tension,” he added. Read more…

KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia’s religion minister on Tuesday defended Islamic laws that allow girls under 16 to marry, amid a controversy over two youngsters who were married off to middle-aged men.

The issue has flared in Malaysia after reports that two girls aged 10 and 11 were wed in the conservative northern state of Kelantan last month. They have now been removed from their husbands.

Rights groups have called for the reform of Islamic laws that allow marriage under the age of 16 if religious officials give their consent. Sharia law runs in parallel with civil law in multi-ethnic Malaysia.

“There is no need to amend the law,” Jamil Khir Baharom, a cabinet minister in charge of religious affairs, told reporters.

“The law already exists… marrying someone aged 16 and below requires the consent of the court. The court does not simply grant the consent,” he said.

“Maturity is a subjective question. It depends on the development of the person. Maturity is not based on age solely.”

Pressure group Sisters in Islam has called for an end to child marriages, saying the practice was “unacceptable” but continued in Malaysia because of a “belief that Muslim girls can be married off once they reach puberty”.

Not simply “a belief”- millions of muslims eagerly try to emulate Muhammad, because he was the “perfect man..”

“The minimum age of marriage for Muslim girls must be raised to 18 to be in compliance with the Child Act which defines children as those below the age of 18,” it said in a statement.

Other citizens in the multicultural country — where the population is dominated by Muslim Malays — are not permitted to marry before the age of 18.

Malaysian authorities are investigating the case of the two girls in Kelantan, both linked to a man who is accused of leading an Islamic cult.

He is accused of marrying the 11-year-old girl and giving away his 10-year-old daughter to a family friend.

Sharia court officials told the New Straits Times Tuesday the 11-year-old’s marriage was not approved in court.

The girl was found outside a mosque in the nation’s capital over the weekend and is now being treated in hospital.

Women, family and community development minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil has spoken out against the practice.

“A child of that age does not have the choice or capacity to give her full consent and, as such, child marriage is viewed within the context of force and coercion,” she said in a statement to AFP.

‘Marriage’ Of Two Underage Girls In Kelantan Opens Debate

KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 (Bernama) — The ‘marriage’ of two underage girls in Kelantan recently has opened up debate on the rationale for such marriages.

Surely an 11 year-old girl cannot be expected to clean and cook for a 41 year-old husband.

Marriages involving underage girls may be common during the Malaya days 60 years ago but surely it is difficult to fathom in this modern age.

Although such marriages are recognised by Islam, many question the motive behind them, including Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat.

He disagreed with such marriages as Islam encourages marriage to raise family as practised by Prophet Muhammad, and not out of lust.

Some quarters may argue that a girl matures at an early age but is she ready pyschologically and mentally for such a marriage?

Psychologist Dr Mariani Mansor said such a marriage will affect the girl’s growth physically, cognitively, socially and emotionally.

“The marriage can negatively affect the girl who may not become a good wife. The husband will want her to perform functions of a wife but she is still a child.

“The girl will be traumatised as her future has been robbed. She will bypass teenage life and go straight to adulthood because of marriage. At 11 years-old, she can only think logically as the cognitive development is still immature.

“A girl at such age does not understand the responsibilities and rationale of being a wife,” Dr Mariani told Bernama.

The senior lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia’s (UPM) Human Development and Family Studies Department described men who marry underage girls as abnormal.

Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) commissioner Datuk Dr Chiam Heng Keng said the public should prevent such marriages as marrying an underage girl is a form of abuse.

She said although girls nowadays reach maturity faster, the law does not allow those under 18 years to marry.

Section 8 of the Muslim Family Law Enactment 2002 states that the minimum marrying age for male is 18 years and for female 16 years except with written permission from the syarie judge.

Under the law, offenders can be fined RM1,000 or jailed six months or both by the Syariah Court.

Dr Chiam said men who marry underage girls can be considered as having committed rape.

“The men had committed offences and the girls’ parents will have to explain what happened. An 11 year-old girl is incapable of giving birth.”

She had written several books on early development of children including “Child Development-Preschool Children”, “Understanding Children”, “Bringing Up Children in Troubled Times” and “Children-Our Heritage”.

And perhaps we should for once ask to what extent this man’s disgraceful bigotry and victimology is driven by Islam rather than seek again to blame ourselves for his vileness, as in this recent effort, reported in The Age:

Malaysia’s relationship with Canberra was at best prickly and diplomats could not understand why Dr Mahathir held such a jaundiced view. Barry Wain, an Australian journalist who has observed Dr Mahathir for 37 years, provides some of the answers to the mystery.

In 1969 Dr Mahathir, a first-term politician and a rising political star, was invited on an all-expenses-paid trip to Australia as a guest of the Foreign Ministry in Canberra. But he lost his seat in an election that year and a few days before he was due to depart the Australians asked him to postpone the trip….

Two years later Dr Mahathir accepted an Australian Government offer to visit Canberra after attending a seminar at his own expense at Monash University, only to find the hospitality in the capital as bleak as the weather. In his book, Malaysian Maverick: Mahathir Mohamad in Turbulent Times, Wain maintains Dr Mahathir never forgot how he was treated all those years ago.

So does cold hospitality in Canberra also explain why Mahathir believes Jews “had to be confined to ghettoes and periodically massacred”? Or has some faith or ideology pushed him to that conclusion?

Many are all too willing to accept a roundabout and illogical explanation over an uncomfortable one.

Malaysia’s Mahathir Mohammed says 9/11 attacks staged to hit Muslim world

KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today claimed the 9/11 attacks in the United States, that killed nearly 3,000, was staged as an excuse to “mount attacks on the Muslim world”, saying killing as an excuse for war is not new to the US.

The former prime minister also argued that Israel was created to solve the “Jewish problem” in Europe, saying the Holocaust had failed as a final solution against the community.

“In September 2001, the World Trade Centre was attacked allegedly by terrorists. I am not sure now that Muslim terrorists carried out these attacks. There is strong evidence that the attacks were staged. If they can make Avatar, they can make anything,” said Dr Mahathir during his speech at the General Conference for the Support of Al-Quds here. Al-Quds is the Arabic name for Jerusalem.

“Killing innocent people to provide an excuse for war is not new to the US. But whether the real or staged 9/11 attacks have served the United States and Western countries well. They have an excuse to mount attacks on the Muslim world,” he added.

“Creating a state for them was thought to be a better solution. It could be if some European territory had been allocated to make a permanent ghetto for the Jews. But of course if this was done then the affected European state would rise in arms and kill all the Jews the way they had been doing before. So the debate was about creating an Israeli state in Uganda, Africa, or somewhere in Latin America or Palestine of course.

“It was so easy to decide on Palestine, a British mandated territory. Restrictions on the disposal of mandated land could be ignored. This is nothing new — reneging on solemnly given undertaking is endemic with Europeans,” he said.

Dr Mahathir also accused democratic countries for being “hypocritical” and pointed out that the world is “partially civilised.”

“We live in a world that is only partially civilised. I say this because we still believe that the way to resolve conflicts between nations is to kill people in what is called war. The winner is the side which succeeds in killing the most number of people. Yet we vehemently declare that killing people is murder, a terrible crime worthy of the most severe punishment.

“We are being openly hypocritical. Mass killing is glorious but killing one man is a heinous crime,” he said in his speech.

Dr Mahathir also expressed his disappointment in Barack Obama and said that the US president has failed. Obama celebrated his first year in office today.

“Well, I am a bit disappointed because so far none of his promises have been kept. He promised to get out from Afghanistan but he ended up sending more troops there instead. He promised to close down Guantanamo but he has not closed down Guantanamo. Even other things he has not been able to do.

“It is quite easy to promise during election time but you know there are forces in the United States which prevents the president from doing some things. One of the forces is the Jewish lobby, IPAC,” he said.

Dr Mahathir had previously blamed the Jews for causing the Asian financial crisis.
