One of the largest Islamic charities in the United States, LIFE for Relief and Development, has used the ongoing crisis in Haiti to fund mosque expansion in Haiti.

Haiti has almost no Muslims. Even Islamic sources, which are notorious for wildly overestimating Muslim population levels, put the figure at 3,000 Muslims in the Caribbean nation out of nearly 9.9 million people. Reports indicate that as much as $3 million will be used to “renovate” 5 mosques.

“Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha ila Allah,” — “God is greater, God is greater, there is no god but God.”

You can rest assured that “renovate” in this case does not mean fix the roof, replace the broken windows and slap a coat of paint on the walls. Renovate almost always means enlarge and it was just this type of activity that some observers warned about when Islamic charities began to move in to Haiti following the disastrous earthquake. Islamic charities have historically used such disasters to conduct missionary work and the long-term mess in Haiti seems ripe for Saudi Wahhabi money…and everything that accompanies that money…

LIFE for Relief and Development’s past is not comforting at all.

The organization was founded in 1992 to send relief to Iraq, which was then under international sanctions for its illegal invasion of Kuwait and support for terrorism, among other things.

The organization operated in Iraq after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein and its operations there were raided by U.S. forces. Two years later the organization’s offices in the U.S. were raided by the FBI. Complete details and more are available at the excellent Investigative Project web site:

Imam of Moscow mosque threatens that Muslims will gather for prayer in Orthodox churches

“Moscow is the only place in the world where over one million Muslims are served in only four mosques. We lack premises for praying. Muslims are allowed to conduct their religious ceremonies in Orthodox churches, but we would rather avoid this extreme measure.” In other words, give us more mosques, or we will take over your churches. Mosques awarded Homeland Security grants

CAIR urges Muslim clerics to cash in on federal funds

While the European Union investigates mosques for ties to Islamic terrorism, the U.S. government is giving mosques security grants that are designed to protect churches, synagogues and other nonprofit groups from Islamic terror.

Most recently, the Islamic Society of Baltimore landed a $15,000 grant from the Department of Homeland Security to upgrade security at its Maryland mosque.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations since April has been urging leaders of mosques and Islamic schools across the nation to apply for the DHS grants, even though the agency’s program was set up to help protect nonprofit facilities that are at high risk for attacks by Islamic terrorists. At its core, Islam is a religious mission to all humanity. Muslims are religiously obliged to disseminate the Islamic faith throughout the world. “We have sent you forth to all mankind” (Q. 34:28).

If non-Muslims submit to conversion or subjugation, this call (da’wa) can be pursued peacefully. If they do not, Muslims are obliged to wage war against them. In Islam, peace requires that non-Muslims submit to the call of Islam, either by converting or by accepting the status of a religious minority (dhimmi) and paying the imposed poll tax, jizya. World peace, the final stage of the da’wa, is reached only with the conversion or submission of all mankind to Islam…Muslims believe that expansion through war is not aggression but a fulfillment of the Qur’anic command to spread Islam as a way to peace. The resort to force to disseminate Islam is not war (harb), a word that is used only to describe the use of force by non-Muslims. Islamic wars are not hurub (the plural of harb) but rather futuhat, acts of “opening” the world to Islam and expressing Islamic jihad. Relations between dar al-Islam, the home of peace, and dar al-harb, the world of unbelievers, nevertheless take place in a state of war, according to the Qur’an and to the authoritative commentaries of Islamic jurists. Unbelievers who stand in the way, creating obstacles for the da’wa, are blamed for this state of war, for the da’wa can be pursued peacefully if others submit to it.

In other words, those who resist Islam cause wars and are responsible for them. Only when Muslim power is weak is ‘temporary truce’ (hudna) allowed (Islamic jurists differ on the definition of ‘temporary’).

The worry about Muslim boycotts is truly amazing – and it sends out one message – everything is expected from the West and nothing is expected from the Islamic world.

Do Christians/ westerners stop going to Egypt because the chief religious authority issues a fatwa saying that building churches is a sin and compared it to building a barn for dogs, cats and pigs? Maldives just passed a law to outlaw the building of Churches - it is extremely difficult or near impossible, if not impossible – to build churches or non-Muslim place of worship in most Muslim countries.

And then there are those who call you  ”racist”  - to ask or suggest that Muslims build some churches – in the Islamic world. But Islam is not a race…

A proposal championed by right-wing parties to ban minarets in Switzerland goes to a nationwide vote on Sunday in a referendum that has set off an emotional debate about national identity and stirred fears of boycotts and violent reactions from Muslim countries.

With tensions running high, the Geneva Mosque was vandalized Thursday by unidentified individuals who threw a pot of pink paint at the building’s entrance.

It was the third incident against the mosque this month: earlier, a vehicle with a loudspeaker drove through the area imitating a muezzin’s call to prayer, and vandals threw cobble stones at the building, damaging a mosaic.

Business leaders say a minaret ban would be disastrous for the Swiss economy because it could drive away wealthy Muslims who bank in Switzerland, buy the country’s luxury goods, and frequent its resorts.

The vote taps into anxieties about Muslims that have been rippling through Europe in recent years, ranging from French fears of women in body veils to Dutch alarm over the murder by a Muslim fanatic of a filmmaker who made a documentary that criticized Islam.

Polls indicate growing support for the proposal submitted by the anti-immigrant Swiss People’s Party, but it was doubtful it will gain enough momentum to pass. Muslims in Switzerland have kept a low profile, refraining from a counter-campaign.

“Switzerland’s good reputation as an open, tolerant and secure country may be lost and this would bring a blow to tourism,” said Swiss Hotel Association spokesman Thomas Allemann.

The Muslim community in Rheinfelden/Germany got approval to build a mosque with a minaret on condition that no loudspeakers be attached and that no amplified call to prayer would annoy  nearby residents. As soon as the building was completed, the muezzin started to wail and howl over 3 powerful loudspeakers and annoyed the hell out of the neighborhood. Now, because of the upcoming referendum in nearby Switzerland (a citizens initiative has already collected over 120.000 signatures against mosques and minarets) some think the muslims gave away the game to soon….

So, according to the latest news from Jihad Watch Germany,  the soldiers of Allah removed the loudspeakers (for now) since it was “childish and  thoughtless”. Lets see what they say after the Swiss had their referendum.

Meanwhile, Muselmaniacs and their useful idiots in Switzerland go apeshit over the above posters. Some of the Cantons have refused to allow them for the usual hysterics about racism and xenophobia, while others have gladly distributed them throughout.

In other words, despite incidents such as this, and this, and this, and despite the fact that hatred and Islamic supremacism are taught in a number of mosques in the U.S., he wants law enforcement officials to turn a blind eye to the possibility of jihadist activity in mosques.

And meanwhile, Ayloush also wants to take the Koran off the table — that is, he wants no investigation of the stated motives and goals of the jihad terrorists themselves. Similar alarm followed the disclosure earlier this year that the FBI planted a spy in Southern California mosques….

“To the extent that there may be evidence or other information of criminal wrongdoings, then we will … undertake those investigations,” Mueller added. “We will continue to do it.”…

‘I was groomed for jihad in Britain’,” by Kevin Dowling for the Sunday Times, May 17:

A teenager has revealed how he was recruited by Al-Qaeda-inspired extremists and groomed to carry out suicide attacks in Britain.

In the first insider account of how radicals are preying on vulnerable Muslim youths, the teenager describes being approached by Islamists at a mosque in south London that was used by the failed 21/7 bombers, and indoctrinated at a secret network of squats.

Aged 15, he was the youngest of about 50 recruits who were shown “martyrdom” videos and encouraged to travel to Pakistan to receive terrorist training.

The youth, who is called Adam, told The Sunday Times: “They showed us a jihadist video with the martyrdom flags behind the guy speaking, and the message I got was that I should prepare myself for martyrdom.

And not at all in the Western sense of religious “martyrdom.”

“I know a few of the others accepted that they would go [for training in Pakistan]. Some of the young people said, ‘I’m going to go’. That was the ultimate purpose of what these men were doing: what they were doing was training people up to carry out operations in the UK.”

Adam, who is now 18, quit the group after a year. The whereabouts of most of the other recruits is unknown.

“It was quite shocking to me,” he said. “I started to think, ‘Well, hold on a second, I don’t want to kill anybody. Yeah, I’ve got anger inside me, but this isn’t the right way to deal with this’.”

Adam, whose real name is being withheld to protect his safety, is now enrolled in a rehabilitation programme for would-be terrorists.

The scheme is a blueprint for a nationwide “detoxification” programme backed by the Home Office and police chiefs to which 200 people — some as young 13 — have been referred.

When Adam fell under the spell of extremists at the Stockwell mosque in Lambeth in 2005, he was floundering at school, had few friends and was desperately in need of some direction.

He was the eldest of seven children whose Algerian father had died when he was just eight, and his new friends’ talk of Muslim brotherhood seemed to offer the stability he craved.

“A lot of people think that terrorists are recruited in special recruiting grounds, but the truth is that it actually goes on in mosques a lot of the time,” said the gangly south London teenager.

“You’ll go to pray and there’ll be small groups of people just away from the main group in the mosque having their own discussion, talking about jihad and all these types of things.

“They started talking to me about what’s going on in Iraq and about how all the people are dying and then they started inviting me to religious talks.”

The Stockwell mosque had previously been attended by Muktar Ibrahim and Hussain Osman, two of the four men who failed in their attempt to carry out suicide bombings on London’s transport network on July 21, 2005 — two weeks after the 7/7 attacks which killed 52 commuters.

Adam’s new mentors were Mohammed Hamid, a preacher with links to the 21/7 bombers who called himself Osama Bin London, and Atilla Ahmet, a former aide to Abu Hamza, the hook-handed cleric of Finsbury Park mosque in north London. [...]

Adam said Ahmet and Hamid, who helped to radicalise some of the 21/7 bombers at his east London home, often distorted quotes from the Koran to back their arguments.

“For example, the Koran says killing innocents is one of the biggest sins, but they would say that the innocents were just collateral damage and it was therefore okay,” said Adam…
