As for the billions ~ after $$100 million$ were sent to Pakistan ~ for the SWAT refugee crisis ~ Pakistan Christians were turned away from official camps ~ they were told their food was ‘unclean’ ~ and that they could not cook next to Muslims. As a result they never gained refugee status ~ and did not receive compensation for property loss as Muslim citizens got.

According to HRANA [Human Rights Activists News Agency], Elnaz Babazadeh, a 26 year old woman was raped and murdered by Basij forces in the city of Tabriz (northwestern Iran) last week.

According to HRANA, Babazadeh’s car was stopped by Basij forces for not following the Iranian regime’s dress code. Elnaz resisted the forces and did not listen to the orders of the Basij forces.

After Babazadeh resisted the orders of the Basij forces, the Basij member who initially stopped her jumped into her car and threatened her with a gun. Two other Basij members joined in and beat and raper [sic] her. They murdered Babazadeh and dumped her body close to Emamiyeh cemetery.

After local investigation was conducted by HRANA members in Tabriz, it was confirmed at Babazadeh’s funeral that the person who killed her was the son of a high-ranking Revolutionary Guards member.

The intentions of the savage Basij members was to put a stop to the “improper” way women in society dressed. Basij members believe this is their duty to God….

The latest victim, Christopher Folkes, 35, was described as a slight, timid man who would not seek any type of confrontation. He was walking in Queen’s Park, Blackburn on his way to see his mother who was suffering from intense arthritis pain and could not pick him up for his weekly visit. Sadly, the grieving Mum feels guilty about this – thinking that had she done so her son would still be alive. LINK

This despicable crime bears much resemblence to the recent brutal stabbing – by a muslim “youth” – of 20 year old, Oliver Hemsley. Mr Hemsley was also a slight, nonconfrontational man – and in an unprovoked attack he was kicked and punched by a several muslim men during which Nazrul Islam stabbed Oliver from behind through the heart and lungs. The vicious attack left the promising young artist paralysed from the neck down.

Mr. Folkes was targeted, chased and attacked by three muslim men – no reason or motive given - thus what other possibility is there other than he was being singled out for his being a lone, white British and slightly built male?  It is clear that lone men (often slightly built), or elderly men or young boys are frequently the victims of violence perpetrated by muslim thugs/gangs. There was no robbery or any other connection to these muslim thugs -yet they chose to attack and batter Christopher Folkes into unconsciousness and then proceeded to repeatedly kick his head and brain ”like a football” smashing it into an unrecognisable pulp. To quote the mother -“Not even animals would behave like that.

Can you imagine – in reversing the above circumstances – that the unprovoked, intentional targeting, beating and murder of a muslim “Christopher Folkes” - would be considered anything but a race hate attack?

Blackburn murder victim’s mum calls for calm to avert ‘revenge attacks’

PEOPLE are being urged not to resort to any kind of racist ‘revenge’ attacks after a man was fatally attacked in a park.

Christopher Folkes, 36, died after he was attacked in Queen’s Park, Blackburn, and police said that they do not believe the attack was racially motivated.

But his mother Christina Baxter said she fears people in Shadsworth, where her son lived, are intent on taking the law into their own hands.

And a councillor joined her in urging people to remain calm as police said they were working in the community to avert any ‘revenge’ attacks.

Mrs Baxter, who also lives in Shadsworth, said: “People are convinced that the attack was racist and I hear all of the time that people around here want revenge.

“People are saying that they are going to start fights or attack Asians because of what happened to Christopher.

“That is the last thing I want to happen. I do not want any other family to have to go through what me and my family had suffered this week.

“Violence is not the answer and the police have said that it was not a racist incident.”

Det Supt Neil Hunter said that there have been no reports from witnesses that racism was a part of the attack.

He said: “We are not treating this as a racist incident. There were white and Asian people who were a part of the group that we believe the attacker came from.

“Officers are working in the community to reassure people.”

Police said Mr Folkes was attacked by up to three Asian men But Mrs Baxter said: “I don’t think there was racism involved. These are just horrible and nasty people who have got nothing better to do than attack a vulnerable man.

“I think it was just a random attack and I am sure that he did not know the people who attacked him.“ Coun Salim Mulla, who represents the Queen’s Park area, said it was the responsibility of community leaders like himself to urge people to shun violence.

He said: “That sort of behaviour is not acceptable in any society. All we can do is appeal to all parts of the community that they should be living in a peaceful way.

“I would appeal for all to remain calm and pray that there are no other incidents of this nature.

“We have a responsibility to get the message out condemning what has happened.”

Mr Folkes was attacked by the lake in Queen’s Park at 9.30pm on Saturday and died in hospital at around 6pm on Sunday.

His family have been unable to plan his funeral yet because his body has not been released by investigators. A second post mortem is due to take place this week.

• A 16-year-old youth from Blackburn has been remanded in custody after being charged by police with the murder of Mr Folkes.

PARIS (Reuters) – A self-proclaimed “gang of barbarians” accused of kidnapping a young Jewish man in a Paris suburb, torturing him for 24 days and killing him went on trial Wednesday.The death of Ilan Halimi, 23, in 2006 horrified France and came to symbolize a rise in anti-Semitic violence in its poor, multi-ethnic suburbs.

The leader of the “barbarians,” Youssouf Fofana, smirked at Halimi’s relatives and shouted “Allahu akbar!” (“God is Greatest!” in Arabic) at them as he entered the courtroom.

Bearded and wearing a white tracksuit, Fofana gave his identity during formal questioning by the judge as “Arabs African revolt barbarian salafist army.”

The 28-year-old said he was born on February 13, 2006, in Sainte-Genevieve-des-Bois, the date and place of Halimi’s death.

During his time in detention, Fofana, a young French man of Ivorian origin, has bombarded the magistrates investigating the case with letters full of anti-Semitic insults….

Here’s one of so many stories we hear about on a daily basis: a person known to be violent is free to move about in society. The authorities do nothing until a calamity occurs. And even then, they do very little… The simplistic tone of the article is typical, in it’s wearisome objectivity, of the way crime is reported in the press.

‘Gang of barbarians’ go on trial for Paris torture and murder of Jewish man

A gang of 28 Muslims known as ‘the barbarians’ go on trial today accused of the 24-day torture and murder of a younge Jewish man that appalled France due to it’s brutality and apparent anti-Semitism.

Ilan Halimi was lured into a honey trap, kidnapped and tortured for three weeks, before being found naked and handcuffed to a tree near a railway track in February 2006.

Tens of thousands took to the streets to march against anti-Semitism after the brutal crime, although defence lawyers say financial gain was the prime motive. The murder came just months after France’s high-immigrant suburbs exploded into three weeks of nightly riots, and rapidly took on political overtones.

The alleged gang leader, Youssouf Fofana, and 26 others are to answer various charges during the trial, which will be held behind closed doors before a Paris juvenile court because two defendants were minors at the time of the crime.

Prosecutors describe Mr Fofana, 28, as a “perverted megalomaniac” bent on kidnapping Jews for ransom “because they are loaded with dough” and “stick together”. He escaped to the Ivory Coast shortly after the murder but was arrested and extradited to France.

Also known as “Ossama” and “Mohammed”, Mr Fofana initially admitted to the murder but has since changed his story several times, often lapsing into unintelligible anti-Semitic rants. He has switched lawyers almost 40 times and has already served a one-year jail sentence for insulting officers and a judge.

The French-born son of Ivorian immigrants is the only defendant facing a life sentence, while 15 others are facing charges of kidnapping and sequestering.

As the gang’s alleged ringleader, he is accused of stabbing Mr Halimi and dousing his body with rubbing alcohol before setting him alight because the victim “looked at him in the eyes” before he was let go.

Several other defendants are friends and family members of the gang, who come from the Paris suburbs and who are being prosecuted for having failed to report an offence.

Mr Halimi went missing on January 20, 2006 while on a date with a 17-year old girl he had met at the mobile phone store where he worked near République, central Paris.

It is alleged the girl turned out to be an accomplice of Mr Fofana and part of a well-prepared plot to lure him to a basement of a building in a Paris suburb. There, he was attacked, subdued with ether, handcuffed and his feet and mouth bound with tape.

He was moved to an empty apartment in the Paris suburb of Bagneux. Mr Fofana demanded 450,000 euros from his family. Photographs showing the hostage blindfolded and gaunt, and an audio message of the hostage pleading for his life were released by his captors. A videotaped plea was also sent to the captive’s parents.

When no ransom was forthcoming, Mr Fofana’s accomplices turned against the gang leader, arguing the kidnapping had gone far enough, say prosecutors.

On February 13, Mr Fofana told them he planned to release Mr Halimi, who was loaded into the trunk of a stolen car. Three hours later, a train driver spotted his nude body next to the railroad tracks and alerted police.

He died on the way to hospital. The then president, Jacques Chirac, met the parents and promised to bring the culprits to justice.

The victim’s mother has accused police of having botched the investigation by ruling out anti-Semitism as a factor in the crime. “If Ilan wasn’t Jewish, he wouldn’t have been killed,” she claimed.

Ruth Halimi is expected to urge the court to open the hearings to the public today to provide a full accounting of her son’s death.

But Michel Wieviorka, the author of a book on anti-Semitism in France, said: “The motive was money first and anti-Semitism was an additional factor. But at the outset, it was not aimed at expressing hatred toward Jews.”

Prosecutors believe the gang had used women to lure nine other men in the kidnapping scheme but that these attempts failed. The “Barbarians” also tried to racketeer several doctors and company bosses.

All deny murder.

 

The 23-year-old was in a state of shock and unable to talk, his body covered with burns, cuts and bruises, and he died en route to hospital.

Released Gitmo inmates up the jihadi rhetoric

Strangely, the New York Times has failed to report the whole story three times.

The proof of that assertion is: Robert F. Worth wrote of Susan Elbaneh’s fugitive cousin last March; he mentioned her death, name, and hometown last September while reporting on the bombing of our embassy in Yemen yet made no mention of Jaber Elbaneh; and their names and the latter’s connection to the Lackawanna Six were missing from his reports last week about two former Guantanamo detainees reuniting with al Qaeda in Yemen and their being suspected in that same attack upon our embassy.

American girl Susan Elbaneh was murdered by al Qaeda and reporters from in and near her hometown actually began doing their jobs back as far as September 18, 2008:

A Lackawanna High School student who traveled to Yemen to be married last month was one of the victims of a terrorist bombing Wednesday at the U. S. Embassy in Yemen, the woman’s school principal said. Attackers armed with automatic weapons, rocket-propelled grenades and at least one suicide car bomb assaulted the compound in the Yemeni capital of Sana. Officials listed the 16 people killed as six assailants, six guards and four civilians. Susan Elbaneh, 18, was killed, along with her Yemeni husband, as they stood outside the embassy, family members said Wednesday.

They were apparently there to do paperwork for the husband’s move to the U. S. when the attackers struck, said Elbaneh’s brother, Ahmed.

The Associated Press said Elbaneh had been in Yemen for a month for the arranged wedding Aug. 25. School officials said Elbaneh was the daughter of Ali T. Elbaneh and the niece of Mohamed T. Albanna, two Yemeni-American community leaders who took plea deals in a case involving an unlicensed money-transmitting company that illegally sent at least $5.5 million to Yemen. Authorities never have alleged that the money was used for terrorist purposes. In November 2006, U. S. District Judge William M. Skretny sentenced Ali T. Elbaneh to six months of home confinement for playing what federal prosecutors called a very minor role in the illegal business. Albanna received a five-year prison term. Authorities said the dead woman also was related to Jaber Elbaneh [Ed. — that is the FBI’s bulletin], Mohamed Albanna’s nephew, a fugitive accused of traveling to a terrorist training camp in Afghanistan with the “Lackawanna Six.”

To its credit, CNN got most of the story right, on September 18, 2008:

[Susan] El-Baneh’s wedding was a source of pride for her family as they celebrated the holy month of Ramadan, a time in which Muslims believe the Quran was revealed and presented to the Prophet Mohammed. “But if you die in the month of Ramadan, you go straight to heaven, and that is where my sister will be,” Ahmed El-Baneh said. “But anyone that did this cowardly act, they will go straight to hell.” Susan El-Baneh is related to Yemeni-American Jaber El-Baneh, who is on the FBI’s most-wanted list, accused of being the seventh member of the Lackawanna Six. The six were convicted or providing material support to al Qaeda. El-Baneh confirmed the relation but preferred to talk about his sister and how the attack proved anyone can be the target of a terrorist act.

“It touches everyone no matter who you are,” he said. Muslims are supposed to be peaceful, he said, and those who committed the attack on the embassy in Yemen only smear that view. “They say they do this for a cause, but there is no cause,” he said. “A cause is when you sit down and talk, not when you kill millions and millions of people, now including my sister among them. What is the cause for that?”

Knowing that, what explains the New York Times’ failure to mention Jaber Elbaneh or the Lackawanna Six plot in Robert Worth’s September 19, 2008 report?

No American officials or embassy employees were killed or wounded, embassy officials said. Six of the dead were Yemeni guards at the compound entrance, and the other four killed were civilians waiting to be allowed in. One of the dead was an American woman, the State Department said in Washington on Thursday. News reports described her as a young woman who had recently married in an arranged wedding. The Associated Press identified her as Susan Elbaneh, 18, from Lackawanna, N.Y. Family members said she was killed along with her Yemeni husband as they stood outside the embassy, the news agency reported. The attack on Wednesday was the deadliest and most ambitious in years in Yemen, a poor south Arabian country of 23 million peoplewhere militants aligned with Al Qaeda have carried out a number of recent bombings.

Lackawanna and the Elbaneh family were absent from Robert Worth’s January 22, 2009 article. His report seemed more a debate about the veracity of official statements made about former Guantanamo detainees returning to the battlefield and whether the detention facilities at Gitmo should remain open:

The emergence of a former Guantánamo Bay detainee as the deputy leader of Al Qaeda’s Yemeni branch has underscored the potential complications in carrying out the executive order President Obama signed Thursday that the detention center be shut down within a year.

The militant, Said Ali al-Shihri, is suspected of involvement in a deadly bombing of the United States Embassy in Yemen’s capital, Sana, in September. He was released to Saudi Arabia in 2007 and passed through a Saudi rehabilitation program for former jihadists before resurfacing with Al Qaeda in Yemen.

Lackawanna and the Elbaneh family remained missing on January 25, 2009 from Robert Worth’s subsequent report:

American counterterrorism officials have already confirmed that Said Ali al-Shihri, 35, who was released from the American prison camp at Guantánamo in November 2007, is now the deputy leader of Al Qaeda’s Yemeni branch. He is suspected of playing a role in a deadly attack on the American Embassy in the Yemeni capital, Sana, in September.

In the video released Friday, Mr. Shihri sits alongside a man identified as Abu Hareth Muhammad al-Awfi, who appears with a script at the bottom of the screen giving his Guantánamo identification number, 333. That number corresponds to a man known in Pentagon documents as Mohamed Atiq Awayd al-Harbi, who was also released to Saudi Arabia in November 2007.

Yet Mr. Worth knew full well who Jaber Elbaneh is on March 1, 2008:

Jaber Elbaneh has been one of the F.B.I.’s most wanted terrorism suspects ever since he escaped from a high-security prison two years ago in Sana, the capital of Yemen. So when Mr. Elbaneh, a 41-year-old American citizen, walked freely into a Yemeni courthouse where his conviction in a bombing case was being appealed last Saturday, the judge and the prosecutor were stunned. They asked him to show identification, which he did.

Then the broad-shouldered, bearded convict — who is accused by American prosecutors of providing support to Al Qaeda — surprised them again: he gave a speech. “I’ve been sentenced to 10 years in this case, and three years in another,” he said, as camera shutters clicked furiously around him. “But it’s wrong; I haven’t committed any crimes in this country or the United States.”

He added that after his prison escape he surrendered directly to Yemen’s president, Ali Abdullah Saleh, who absolved him of any more jail time. With the judge still sitting speechless, Mr. Elbaneh, who once worked in a cheese factory in Lackawanna, N.Y., then walked out of the courthouse. No one tried to stop him.

Mr. Elbaneh’s mysterious act of bravado, which prompted an angry protest from the State Department, cast an unusual light on the distinctive counterterrorism efforts of Yemen, a desperately poor Arab country that has long been viewed as a haven for jihadists. The Yemeni authorities often negotiate arrangements with suspects that are entirely separate from court verdicts.

Mr. Elbaneh, for instance, surrendered to Yemeni authorities last May after 15 months on the run and a lengthy negotiation. The agreement, like many others of its kind, included a pledge by Mr. Elbaneh not to carry out any terrorist acts in Yemen. In exchange, the authorities promised that he would not be sent back to prison, and would not be sent to the United States, which has sought his extradition since 2002.

Reportedly, many of her family members and fellow Muslims in Lackawanna have denounced al Qaeda’s violent jihad. Yet both her father and uncle financially supported a regime whose alliances are at best mixed. Six of her neighbors are in jail after terrorist training in Afghanistan. And her cousin is in Yemen on the same side as those who murdered Susan Elbaneh while waging war against America.

Conversely, the New York Times has strongly advocated for full due process rights for the detainees at Guantanamo and furthered their propaganda. The Times supports the release of al Qaeda-trained Uighar and Yemeni terrorists onto America’s streets. Perhaps that explains why the full and tragic story of a bright American teenager being murdered in Yemen by former Guantanamo detainees did not become “all the news fit to print.”
