Female Muslim medics ‘disobey hygiene rules’ Telegraph

Muslim medical students are refusing to obey hygiene rules brought in to stop the spread of deadly superbugs, because they say it is against their religion.

“I made a mixture of drugs and injected them. They were dead in three hours.”

A young doctor in Kirkuk, Iraq killed at least 43 injured soldiers by lethal injection after they were brought to his hospital for treatment. Dr. Louay belonged to a terrorist cell and gave his victims drugs that would cause them to bleed to death. He was arrested in 2006.
The Independent reported:

When policemen, soldiers and officials in Kirkuk who were injured in insurgent attacks arrived in the emergency room of the hospital, they hoped their chances of surviving had gone up as doctors tended their wounds.

In fact, many of the wounded were almost certain to die because one of the doctors at the Republic Hospital was a member of an insurgent cell. Pretending to treat the injured men, he killed 43 of them by secretly administering lethal injections, a police inquiry has revealed.

“He was called Dr Louay and when the terrorists had failed to kill a policeman or a soldier he would finish them off,”Colonel Yadgar Shukir Abdullah Jaff, a senior Kirkuk police chief, told The Independent. “He gave them a high dosage of a medicine which increased their bleeding so they died from loss of blood.”

Dr Louay carried out his murder campaign over an eight to nine-month period, say police. He appeared to be a hard working assistant doctor who selflessly made himself available for work in any part of the hospital, which is the largest in Kirkuk.

He was particularly willing to assist in the emergency room. With 272 soldiers, policemen and civilians killed and 1,220 injured in insurgent attacks in Kirkuk in 2005, the doctors were rushed off their feet and glad of any help they could get. Nobody noticed how many patients were dying soon after being tended by their enthusiastic young colleague.

Dr Louay was finally arrested only after the leader of the cell to which he belonged, named Malla Yassin, was captured and confessed. “I was really shocked that a doctor and an educated men should do such a thing,” said Col Jaff.

Officials: Perpetrator of Afghan attack was supposed to infiltrate al-Qaida

The suicide bombing on a CIA base in Afghanistan last week was carried out by a Jordanian doctor who was an al-Qaida double agent, Western intelligence officials told NBC News.

Initial reports said that the attack, which killed seven CIA officers, was carried out by a member of the Afghan National Army.

According to Western intelligence officials, the perpetrator was Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi, 36, an al-Qaida sympathizer from the town of Zarqa, which is also the hometown of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian militant Islamist responsible for several devastating attacks in Iraq.

Al-Balawi was arrested by Jordanian intelligence more than a year ago. However, the Jordanians believed that al-Balawi had been successfully reformed and brought over to the American and Jordanian side, setting him up as an agent and sending him off to Afghanistan and Pakistan to infiltrate al-Qaida.

His specific mission, according to officials, was to find and meet Ayman al Zawahiri, al-Qaida’s No. 2, also a physician.

However, the Al-Jazeera Web site quoted a Taliban spokesman who said al-Balawi misled Jordanian and U.S. intelligence services for a year. The spokesman, Al-Hajj Ya’qub, promised to release a video confirming his account of the attack.

Last week, according to the Western officials, al-Balawi reportedly called his handler to say he needed to meet with the CIA’s team based in Khost, Afghanistan, because he said he had urgent information he needed to relay about Zawahiri.

Close relations with Jordanian intelligence
His handler was a senior intelligence official, identified in Jordanian press accounts as Sharif Ali bin Zeid.

But bin Zeid was not just a Jordanian intelligence officer; he was also a member of the Jordanian royal family and was a first cousin of the king and grandnephew of the first king Abdullah.

Bin Zeid’s prominent role offers rare insight into the close partnership between American and Jordanian intelligence officials and how crucial their relationship has become to the overall counterterrorism strategy.

“We have a close partnership with the Jordanians on counterterrorism matters,” a U.S. official told The Washington Post. “Having suffered serious losses from terrorist attacks on their own soil, they are keenly aware of the significant threat posed by extremists.”

Jordan’s official news agency, Petra, said bin Zeid was killed “on Wednesday evening as a martyr while performing the sacred duty of the Jordanian forces in Afghanistan” and provided no further details about his death.

Meanwhile, Al-Jazeera reported that al-Balawi’s family refused to speak to the media on instructions from Jordanian security services.

Sources close to the family told Al-Jazeera’s website that Jordanian Intelligence arrested the perpetrator’s younger brother and ordered his father not to set up a condolence tent for his son so that it would not turn into a gathering place for jihadist sympathizers.

Key base for CIA

According to Western officials, bin Zeid, along with the seven CIA officers, were killed when al-Balawi, the formerly trusted informant turned double-agent, detonated his suicide belt at Camp Chapman.

Some of the officers had flown in from Kabul for what was thought to be an important meeting.

The base was used to direct and coordinate CIA operations and intelligence gathering in Khost, a hotbed of insurgent activity because of its proximity to Pakistan’s lawless tribal areas, former CIA officials said. Among the CIA officers killed was the chief of the operation, they said.

Six other people were wounded in what was one of the worst attacks in CIA history.

Qari Hussain, a top militant commander with the Pakistani Taliban who is believed to be a suicide bombing mastermind, said last week that militants had been searching for a way to damage the CIA’s ability to launch missile strikes on the Pakistani side of the border.

Using remote-controlled aircraft, the U.S. has launched scores of such missile attacks in the tribal regions over the past year and a half, aiming for high-value al-Qaida and other militant targets. The most successful strike, in August, killed former Pakistani Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud at his father-in-law’s home.

The Washington Post reported Friday that the CIA base has been at the heart of overseeing this covert program. The newspaper cited two former intelligence officials who have visited Chapman as saying that U.S. personnel there are heavily involved in the selection of al-Qaida and Taliban targets for the drone aircraft strikes.

But contrary to popular belief, every mainstream Islamic sect and school of Islamic law teaches the necessity to subjugate unbelievers, by force if necessary, under the hegemony of Islamic law. The U.S. government, of course, denies this fact and bases numerous policies upon the assumption that the vast majority of Muslims share universally accepted notions of human rights, and abhor jihad terrorism. This is the fruit of that false assumption.

Bomber Who Killed C.I.A. Staff Worked With Jordanian Intelligence

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — The suicide bomber who killed seven C.I.A. officers and one Jordanian intelligence officer last week in southeastern Afghanistan was an asset of the Jordanian intelligence service who had been brought to Afghanistan to help hunt down top members of the Qaeda network, according to a Western official briefed on the matter.

Bear in mind: this guy was an intelligence asset for Jordan, one of our allies, a “staunch friend in the War on Terror”, as G.W. Bush liked to say.

Some Muslims have refused to use alcohol-based hand gels to combat the spread of swine flu because they claim it is against their religion.

Some of those employed by St Albans Council in Hertfordshire have complained about the antibacterial lotion, which is considered a key strategy in containing the virus.

Officials were concerned because the Koran bans Muslims from consuming alcohol, so council chiefs issued them with non-alcohol hand gels, which studies have shown to be less effective in killing bugs.

But Muslim leaders criticised the council’s decision to change the gel, pointing out that Islamic teachings allow Muslims to use alcohol for medicinal purposes.

The Muslim Council of Britain said: ‘We would advise people to follow the medical advice so we would, of course, encourage people to use hand gel. ‘People need to find ways to accommodate their beliefs.’

* Thus those who refuse are simply once again trying to reinforce the proposition that Islamic norms and practices must always and everywhere triumph over Infidel ones. This is a declaration of supremacism, not piety.

Councils, schools and businesses across the country have ordered supplies of alcohol-based hand gels to reduce the spread of swine flu.

What Yusuf doesn’t like to mention is, that torture is in fact QURANIC and ISLAMIC. We saw in Iraq and many other places that Muslim doctors engage in terrorism and REAL TORTURE, but what can you expect from an Islamo agit-prop who is deaf and blind of anything that could damage the advancement of Islam in O’straya?

(CNSNews.com) – The Central Intelligence Agency told CNSNews.com today that it stands by the assertion made in a May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that the use of “enhanced techniques” of interrogation on al Qaeda leader Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) — including the use of waterboarding — caused KSM to reveal information that allowed the U.S. government to thwart a planned attack on Los Angeles.Before he was waterboarded, when KSM was asked about planned attacks on the United States, he ominously told his CIA interrogators, “Soon, you will know.”

According to the previously classified May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that was released by President Barack Obama last week, the thwarted attack — which KSM called the “Second Wave”– planned “ ‘to use East Asian operatives to crash a hijacked airliner into’ a building in Los Angeles.”

KSM was the mastermind of the first “hijacked-airliner” attacks on the United States, which struck the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Northern Virginia on Sept. 11, 2001.

After KSM was captured by the United States, he was not initially cooperative with CIA interrogators. Nor was another top al Qaeda leader named Zubaydah. KSM, Zubaydah, and a third terrorist named Nashiri were the only three persons ever subjected to waterboarding by the CIA. (Additional terrorist detainees were subjected to other “enhanced techniques” that included slapping, sleep deprivation, dietary limitations, and temporary confinement to small spaces — but not to water-boarding.)

This was because the CIA imposed very tight restrictions on the use of waterboarding. “The ‘waterboard,’ which is the most intense of the CIA interrogation techniques, is subject to additional limits,” explained the May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo. “It may be used on a High Value Detainee only if the CIA has ‘credible intelligence that a terrorist attack is imminent’; ‘substantial and credible indicators that the subject has actionable intelligence that can prevent, disrupt or deny this attack’; and ‘[o]ther interrogation methods have failed to elicit this information within the perceived time limit for preventing the attack.’”

The quotations in this part of the Justice memo were taken from an Aug. 2, 2004 letter that CIA Acting General Counsel John A. Rizzo sent to the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel.

Before they were subjected to “enhanced techniques” of interrogation that included waterboarding, KSM and Zubaydah were not only uncooperative but also appeared contemptuous of the will of the American people to defend themselves….

And now they and their fellow jihadists will resume their contemptuousness.

An NHS doctor has been convicted of plotting to bring chaos and murder to London and Glasgow Airport by setting off massive car bombs.

A jury at Woolwich Crown Court found Bilal Abdulla guilty of plotting the home-made bomb attacks in 2007.

Another NHS doctor, Mohammed Asha, was cleared of helping Abdulla and a second attacker, Kafeel Ahmed.

Prosecutor Jonathan Laidlaw told the jury the men had been intent on “committing murder on an indiscriminate and wholesale scale” in attacks that would occur without warning, spreading panic among the public.

Abdulla will be sentenced on Wednesday. Meanwhile, lawyers for Dr Asha said he had been served with deportation papers – but would fight to remain in the UK and rebuild his medical career.

‘Kill and maim’

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said she was “pleased” with the conviction.

“The attack on Glasgow Airport and the planned bomb in central London sought to kill and maim through attacks of an indiscriminate nature,” she said.

“This conviction underlines again the serious and sustained threat we face in the UK from terrorism – which is a threat we must face and deal with together.”

The first attack involved two failed car bombs left in London’s West End. Then a burning Jeep filled with gas canisters was driven into Glasgow Airport on its busiest day of the year.

In each case, said prosecutors, it was good fortune alone that there had been no loss of innocent life.

Abdulla, an Iraqi who was born in the UK, was one of two bombers along with Kafeel Ahmed. The 29-year-old was arrested near the Jeep at Glasgow Airport terminal building.

Indian-born PhD aeronautical engineering student Ahmed, 28, suffered serious burns and died five weeks later.

Detectives believe the Glasgow attack was a suicide bomb attempt on holidaymakers in the wake of the two botched attacks on London.

Abdulla admitted in court that he was “a terrorist” as defined by English law. He went on to say he believed the British government and Army could equally be accused of terrorism for their actions in Iraq.

But he added he had wanted to frighten people rather than murder them.

At the time of the attacks he was a junior doctor at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.

The jury at Woolwich Crown Court found Abdulla guilty of conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause explosions. He faces a life sentence but showed no reaction as the jury’s verdict was read out.

Investigators said they had been shocked to learn of Abdulla’s responsible, health sector background.

One senior detective added: “Just the whole idea of people who take the Hippocratic oath who then go on to wantonly seek to destroy human life in the most horrific way imaginable, that is what I find shocking.”

Dr Asha, 28, a neurologist at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, admitted knowing the two bombers but denied any knowledge of their attacks. He was found not guilty of conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause explosions.

He leaned back in his seat, his hands clasped behind his neck in apparent relief as the verdict was read out. Before Dr Asha left the dock the two men embraced and shook hands.

Jim Sturman QC, for Abdulla, said his crimes were motivated by politics, not religion.

“This is not a case where his intention was driven by religious faith but by his frustration with what he saw as an unjust war,” he said.

The barrister said his client needed time “to allow the consequences of conviction to sink in”.

Speaking after the trial, Crown Prosecution Service lawyer Karen Jones said: “If you are planning to scare people you do not pack cars with petrol, gas and nails.

“If the cars had blown up those nails would not only have killed people but maimed others for life.”

Tory MP and security expert Patrick Mercer said it was wrong to call the attacks “amateurish” and said Britain was vulnerable to similar incidents.

“These sort of attacks are relatively easily put together. The materials are relatively easily obtained.

‘Highly vulnerable’

“Whilst we have seen highly sophisticated attacks in places like Mumbai in recent weeks, we are still highly vulnerable to the lower end of the lower scale of these sort of attacks being put together without very much central guidance from core al-Qaeda operatives.”

Deputy Assistant Commissioner John McDowall, a national counter terrorism co-ordinator at the Metropolitan Police, said he believed the London bombs were to have been the first in a series of similar attacks.

“Abdulla and Kafeel Ahmed had at least two other vehicles and further supplies of gas, petrol and other items for constructing bombs,” he said.

“It was more luck than judgement that their repeated attempts to detonate the two car bombs by mobile phone failed.”

Strathclyde Police Chief Constable Stephen House said he was “delighted” with the result and grateful for the “solid ties” between the force, community leaders and the area’s ethnic minority communities.

Amanda McMillan, managing director of Glasgow Airport, paid tribute to the bravery of airport workers, passengers and the emergency services.

And there are other issues, such as infectious disease. We are no seeing cases in Britain in which some Muslim doctors refuse to wash their hands with alcohol-based disinfectant, per the Muslim prohibition on alcohol consumption.

A British-born Iraqi doctor who infiltrated the NHS has been convicted of the bungled Baghdad-style car bomb attacks in London and Glasgow.

After Bilal Abdulla was found guilty, Scotland Yard’s anti-terror chief warned that a new breed of Islamic extremist is targeting Britain while working here in respectable professional jobs.

Abdulla is believed to have been sent to the UK as a ‘sleeper’ to form an Iraqi terror cell to bring carnage to the streets with a series of massive car bombings in June 2007.

It was reported that he had been in Baghdad on the first night of the Allied ‘shock and awe’ bombardment of the Iraqi capital in 2003 and had been seething with hatred for Britain ever since.

Inspired by the former head of Al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Abdulla recruited Indian engineering PhD Kafeel Ahmed when the men met at an Islamic group in Cambridge and began plotting a series of ‘spectaculars’.

While at Cambridge the men had ‘crossed the radar’ of MI5 who were monitoring the activities of another suspect, but they were not considered a priority.

Abdulla, 29, was also on the ‘radar’ of Western intelligence in Iraq because of his links to insurgents, but any concerns were not passed to Britain.

While in Baghdad early in 2006, Abdulla is said to have spoken of his desire to take part in martyrdom operations and to have worked for an insurgent group, procuring guns and explosives.

Today he was found guilty at Woolwich Crown Court of conspiracy to cause murder with a suicide attack on Glasgow airport and explode remote-controlled car bombs in London’s West End. He will be sentenced tomorrow.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner John McDowall, head of Scotland Yard’s Counter Terrorism Command, said the discovery that the key suspects were doctors had shocked detectives.

‘These individuals were not on our radar,’ he said. ‘They are very different from the profiles of terrorists we have dealt with in this country before - being professional people.

‘I find it bizarre that people who have trained as doctors can seek to take life in such a cruel way.’

A second member of what was branded the ‘NHS terror cell’, Jordanian neurologist Mohammed Asha, 28, was found not guilty of conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause explosions.

It was precisely because he was a doctor and would not attract suspicion that Abdulla is believed to have been chosen to spearhead attacks on mainland Britain.

Abdulla, who was born in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, admitted in court that he was a terrorist as defined by English law but added that he believed the British Government and Army could equally be accused of terrorism for their actions in Iraq.

Jonathan Laidlaw, prosecuting, told the jury that Abdulla and Ahmed had been intent on ‘ committing murder on an indiscriminate and wholesale scale’ in attacks that would occur without warning, spreading panic among the public.

The first target was Saturday night revellers at the Tiger Tiger nightclub in Haymarket in central London. Two Mercedes saloons loaded with gas cylinders, petrol and nails were primed to go off, triggered by mobile phone detonators.

When these failed, the men drove a Jeep loaded with a similar deadly cargo into Glasgow airport in a suicide attack on the crowded building. Again the device failed to explode, but the vehicle caught fire and Ahmed suffered 90 per cent burns, dying later in hospital.

Abdulla left a will, addressed to Osama Bin Laden, in which he made clear he wanted to kill British and American soldiers and was willing to target women and children.

The document spoke of his thirst to ‘lick the blood’ of Westerners and attack the ‘Kingdom of Evil’.
