BERLIN – Some 65 years after the fall of Nazi Germany, there’s growing concern that the spirit of Adolf Hitler still lives in the country.

It’s not a widespread phenomenon, but the neo-Nazi movement continues to exist in small pockets across Germany.

“Young men are attracted because there are no alternatives in the village except this group who are aggressive, who are male, chauvinist and dominating the scene,” explained Hajo Funke, a neo-Nazi expert at the Free University of Berlin.

A Cult-Like Movement

A recent report revealed one out of twenty 15-year-old German boys belong to a neo-Nazi group — a number no other political party can claim.

Matthias Adrian was one of those teens. Now, he helps others leave the movement with a group called Exit Deutschland.

“I was a neo-Nazi, 24 hours a day,” Adrian recalled, comparing the movement to a cult.

He said he was convinced that Jews were an evil force that controlled the world. He added that neo-Nazi groups have hidden weapons caches across Germany.

“Our movement, Exit Deutschland, helps people leave the right-wing extremist scene safely, because everybody who leaves the scene is a traitor in the eyes of neo-Nazis,” Adrian said.

Lessons of Deception

The legal and political arm of the neo-Nazi movement is the National Democratic Party or NPD. The group didn’t agree to an interview with CBN News, but a former NPD figure said its goal is the restoration of the Third Reich.

He also said members are trained to talk moderately in public, but privately praise Nazi Germany and the Holocaust — something Adrian said he experienced.

“We had schoolings about it, how to give quotes in public, how to do interviews with the media,” Adrian said. “(Neo Nazi’s say) ‘We are not violent, we are nationalists, but we are not violent. We are nice guys.’ In public they denied the Holocaust, but in private they glorified it.”

“If you take into account also their presentations, their speeches, and their texts and their newspaper articles, then they’re outright anti-Semitic, anti-foreigner, racist. and in some cases against Muslim persons for living here,” Funke added.

Official membership in neo-Nazi groups is relatively small, but the number of Germans who agree with some neo-Nazi ideas is much larger. Some recent reports revealed that neo-Nazis in eastern Germany are trying to run their own kindergartens.

Turmoil in the Richest Nation?

After recent gains in state elections by the NPD, there have been new calls that the party be banned.

The neo-Nazi movement is also trying to cash in on the new bestselling book “Germany Eliminates Itself” by Thilo Sarrazin, an official at Germany’s central bank.

Sarrazin writes that Muslim and Turkish immigration is wrecking Germany. The far right has seized on the popularity of the book, saying Sarrazin is right.

(Sarazzin is right: Mohammedanism is wrecking not only Germany, but turning Europe into EUrabia. But to tar  Sarazzin with the Nazi brush is outright stoopid. Nothing could be further from the truth. Besides, its supporting our enemies)

But how can the neo-Nazi movement persist in the richest, most successful nation in Europe — once wrecked by Nazi ideas?

Jörg Drieselman, a former political prisoner in the old East Germany, says overall, Germans in the East — once under the boot of communism — resent the results of unification and feel controlled by what he describes as a politically correct nanny state.

“(The movement continues) because of the fragility of the democratic culture in eastern Germany,” Funke explained. “The movement continues because of some economic miseries. But there won’t be a big success (with the neo-Nazi movement). It’s on the sidelines. It’s subculture.”

Adrian grew up in the wealthy American sector of West Germany and doesn’t believe poverty has anything to do with neo-Nazi growth.

But the movement is still around in Germany — meaning everyone is not happy living in Europe’s wealthiest nation.

Once again, the lame stream media supports limp dick polit-props who play the race card every time someone says something about Islam.  Nobody should support attacks on mosques, but  those who claim instantly that any resistance to the Islamization of Australia is “race-hatred” and  the people behind it “Nazis, fascists, right-wing supremacists” or worse, are playing with fire. Police believe the men were responsible for the incident at the Canning Mosque on February 4, where shots were fired into the dome roof of the building.

The men are allegedly involved with the national extremist group Combat 18.

Cannington Detectives charged a 24-year-old High Wycombe man and a 25-year-old Greenmount man with criminal damage, discharging a firearm and possession of an unlicensed firearm.

A 19-year-old man from Kalamunda was also charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm.

Insp Rob Anderson from South East Metropolitan District Office said police believed the charges would spell the end of the Combat 18 group’s presence in the state.

“As a result of today’s operation, we are confident that we have more or less eliminated that faction within WA,” he said.

The roots of Islamic fanaticism can be traced to Adolf Hitler’s radio messages broadcast around the Arab world during the Second World War, according to a new book.

In a broadcast aimed at provoking an anti-Semitic uprising in Egypt, he said: “A large number of Jews who live in Egypt, along with Poles, Greeks, Armenians and Frenchmen, have guns and ammunition.

“Some Jews in Cairo have even asked the British authorities to set up machine guns on the roofs of their houses,” he claimed.

But the Nazi’s wartime broadcasts had remained a largely hidden chapter in the history of the war until the transmissions were unearthed by a US scholar, who believes they have fuelled continuing unrest in the Middle East.

“The conflict between Israel and the Palestinians would have been over long ago were it not for the uncompromising, religiously inspired hatred of the Jews that was articulated and given assistance by Nazi propagandists and continued after the war by Islamists of various sorts,” said Jeffrey Herf, a history professor at the University of Maryland.

In his new book, “Nazi Propaganda for the Arab World”, Mr Herf argues that Nazi propagandists offered a message that neatly dovetailed with underlying prejudice.

“Islamic fundamentalism, like European totalitarianism in the 20th century, was and is a mixture of very old and very modern elements.

“It is also a product of a mixture of some indigenous currents in the history of Islam with the hatred of democracy, liberalism and the Jews that were so central to National Socialism.

Mr Herf uncovered 6,000 transmissions, produced under the propaganda minister Josef Goebbels and sent around the Arab world from 1939 to 1945.

The transcripts of the broadcasts were made by the American embassy in Cairo during the war, and classified until 1977 in Washington. But it was not until two years ago that Mr Herf became the first scholar to be given access to the files.

The Nazis relied on radio broadcasts – translated into Arabic – to sow propaganda because of high illiteracy in the Arab world at the time. Although radio ownership was small, it was commonplace for cafes and bazaars to draw large crowds to listen to broadcasts.

“This propaganda campaign comprised an important chapter in the history of the war,” Mr Herf said.

“The Arab language propaganda produced in wartime Berlin was a significant chapter in the longer history of radical Arab nationalism and militant Islam.”

Thus all one needs to do to solve this problem is to eliminate the Nazi elements and call Muslims back to the true teachings of the Qur’an, and the jihad will end. How wonderful! Pamela Geller: New Book Wrongly Blames Nazis for Muslim Hatred Of Israel

The latest attempt to excuse or minimize the evils committed in the name of Islam comes in a new book by University of Maryland professor Jeffrey Herf, Nazi Propaganda for the Arab World.  In an interview with the Telegraph, the author says:

The conflict between Israel and the Palestinians would have been over long ago were it not for the uncompromising, religiously inspired hatred of the Jews that was articulated and given assistance by Nazi propagandists and continued after the war by Islamists of various sorts.

This doesn’t even make any sense. If Muslim hatred of the Jews was “religiously inspired,” i.e., inspired by Islam, then why did it need to be “articulated” by the Nazis, who despised all religion? In reality, it is “articulated” in the Qur’an, which says that the Jews are accursed (2:89), are the Muslims’ worst enemies (5:82), and should be fought against (9:29). Muhammad says in a hadith that the end times won’t come until Muslims kill Jews wholesale, and when Jews hide behind trees, the trees will cry out, “O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me – come and kill him!”

Muslims were not and are not inspired by Hitler and the Nazis. Hitler and the Nazis were inspired by Islam – just as modern-day Muslims hate Jews because the Qur’an and Islam tell them to. Islamic scholar Robert Spencer explains:

There is a strong native strain of anti-Semitism in Islam, which is rooted in the Qur’an. The Muslim holy book contains a great deal of material that forms the foundation for a hatred of Jews that has perdured throughout Islamic history. It is virulent and hard to eradicate. The Qur’an portrays the Jews as the craftiest, most persistent, and most implacable enemies of the Muslims — and there is no Islamic authority that has moved to mitigate the most destructive interpretations of all this. The Qur’anic material on the Jews remains the prism through which far too many Muslims see the Israeli-Palestinian conflict–and Jews in general–to this day.

The Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini, was the Muslim Hitler. He continually coaxed, urged, and demanded Jewish annihilation. And it was not that he got with the Nazi program: he preceded it. He mentored it. His role is irrefutable, and is documented in thousands of pages of documents released after the war.

The Mufti, whom his nephew Yasser Arafat called “our hero,” was famous for his fanatical Jew-hatred. During World War II, he lived in Berlin, where he met Hitler and traveled in top Nazi circles (he even stayed in Hitler’s bunker toward the end of the war). Among his close friends was Adolf Eichmann, who is sometimes described as the “architect” of the Holocaust.

Given that “zedladdy” and “cobra” previously invented own quotes, spread them around, and then uploaded them to WikiQuote, I’d say pretty much every unsourced quote in this list is suspect. (Edit: I mean except the Donovan McNabb quote, which I know is real, since I heard it ‘n stuff.)

But surely our crusading Mensa Chapter President wouldn’t be taken in by an obvious false “quote” like:

It’s pointed out the “quote” is bunk. Charles Johnson doesn’t like the back-talk, of course.

There will be no retraction. The quote is disputed, but it has not been proven false. And there are plenty of other racist quotes that you seem to be just gliding right past that are NOT disputed.

Was justice thus done? It seems so, doesn’t it? And isn’t German society dealing fair- and justly with their historical burden? Decide for yourselves:

About the fact that he had delivered the blow together with a message, namely “I’ll kill you, you Scheiß-Jude“, the perpetrator remained adamant, largely supported by the justice system and the maintream media ^[6], that there had been no antisemitic motive and that he had felt threatened by and physically inferior to the middle-aged, grossly obese rabbi. As the journalist Henryk M. Broder had put it then: “Here we have another case of self-defense, where the provocateur leaps aggressively into the provocatee’s knife as an answer to a friendly “salam aleikum”“, because, you may have guessed it, the perpetrator was not an ethnic German, but a culture-enriching German with Afghan parents and we cannot acknowledge Muslim-Islamic antisemitism because it would blow the entire beautiful concept of multiculturalism out of the water.

On a deeper level, we do not WANT to acknowledge it either, because then we’d lose the convenient guinea pig for tinkering with “tolerance”, a guinea pig which might as conveniently turn at lightning speed into a Jew-killing pitbull because Germans love Jews when they are dead ^[7].

And that is why, in Germany, given the proper perpetrator line-up, you’ll get largely away with cutting a life Jew open, but not with a denial of the Holocaust.

In FrontPage this morning I discuss recent Islamic calls for another genocide of the Jews:

No one told the Islamic Nazis that they lost World War II.The former prime minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad, recently asserted that Jews in Europe had “always been a problem.” He claimed that “they had to be confined to ghettos and periodically massacred. But still they remained, they thrived…held whole governments to ransom. Even after their massacre by the Nazis…they survived to continue to be a source of even greater problems for the world.”

Mahathir won fame in October 2003 for charging that “Jews rule this world by proxy.” In the same speech, he lamented that “the Muslims will forever be oppressed and dominated by the Europeans and the Jews. It cannot be that there is no other way. 1.3 billion Muslims cannot be defeated by a few million Jews. There must be a way….For well over half a century we have fought over Palestine. What have we achieved? Nothing. We are worse off than before. If we had paused to think, then we could have devised a plan, a strategy that can win us final victory.”

Final victory? A final solution, perhaps? Might Mahathir believe that Jews are due for one of those periodic massacres about which he spoke so approvingly?

In this Mahathir is not alone: several other Islamic leaders have spoken in similar ways recently. On January 29, Palestinian Authority TV, which is controlled by the ostensibly moderate Fatah faction of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, broadcast a Friday mosque sermon containing this reference to the notorious genocidal hadith in which Muhammad said that the end times would not come until Muslims started murdering Jews: “The Prophet says: ‘You shall fight the Jews and kill them, until the tree and the stone will speak and say: “Oh Muslim, Oh servant of Allah”‘ — the tree and the stone will not say, ‘Oh Arab,’ they will say, ‘Oh Muslim.’ And they will not say, ‘Where are the millions?’ and will not say, ‘Where is the Arab nation?’ Rather, they will say, ‘Oh Muslim, Oh servant of Allah — there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.’ Except for the Gharqad tree, which is the tree of the Jews. Thus, this land will be liberated only by means of Jihad.”

Likewise, on January 12, a top Iranian official, Mohammad Hassan Rahimian, declared on Al-Manar TV: “We have manufactured missiles that allow us, when necessary, to replace Israel in its entirety with a big holocaust.”

On December 29, an Islamic cleric, Muhammad Hussein Yaaqub, said this on Egypt’s Al-Nas TV: “The Jews are our enemies. Allah will annihilate them at our hands. This is something we know for certain. We know this for certain – not because I say so, but because Allah said so. ‘You shall find that the people strongest in enmity to the believers are the Jews and the polytheists.’” That is a quotation from the Qur’an (5:82).

Ahmad Al-Barqawi, professor of philosophy from Damascus University, joined the genocidal chorus on Syria TV on December 15, 2009: “If the enemy reaches a stage in which it feels that it is paying a heavy price for its occupation – both in terms of human lives and in terms of resources – it will give up. Without this, there is no chance of reconciliation with the enemy. Therefore, I believe that the annihilation of Israel is easier than reconciliation with it. Annihilating Israel is easier than reconciling with it, because annihilating Israel through a long-term and consistent effort may bear fruit in a society that feels it is alien to this [Arab] world, and does not want to remain in a world that rejects by force.”

And on January 5, Yousuf Ahmad, head of Gaza’s Al-Faraeen TV bureau, said that Israel was “weaker than a spider web. By Allah, if the Arab nation decided to unite, the state of Israel would automatically collapse.” And if that happened, of course, wholesale massacres of Jews would be inevitable. Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal made a similar statement this on Al-Jazeera on December 15: “The resistance on the land of Palestine will be victorious and will drive those Zionists out of our land. We have driven them out of Gaza, even if they continue to besiege it. We will drive them out of the West Bank and all our Palestinian land, Allah willing.”

None of this should come as any surprise. The genocidal hadith quoted on Palestinian TV is just one element of an anti-Semitism that is deeply rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and which runs through Islamic history with a remarkable consistency. What’s more, as Pamela Geller has recently and exhaustively documented at AtlasShrugs.com, the notorious Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini, was deeply involved in the planning and execution of the Holocaust in Europe. A great admirer and friend of Adolf Hitler, al-Husseini was involved in massacres of Jews in the Holy Land in the 1930s. And in July 1946 at the Nuremberg Trials, Dieter Wisliczeny, the deputy of Nazi genocidal killer Adolf Eichmann, testified that “the Mufti was one of the initiators of the systematic extermination of European Jewry and had been a collaborator and adviser of Eichmann and Himmler in the execution of this plan… He was one of Eichmann’s best friends and had constantly incited him to accelerate the extermination measures. I heard him say, accompanied by Eichmann, he had visited incognito the gas chambers of Auschwitz.”

Al-Husseini was drawn to his role in Hitler’s Final Solution by his loyalty to Islamic texts and teachings that demonize Jews and call for their murder. And as Mahathir and the other Muslims quoted above have shown, Muslims are still reading those texts and taking them seriously. The world yawns at this at its own risk.
