Just when one thought al-Qaeda’s jihadi recruiting prerequisites were set at age 15, now comes this. Wonder if suicidal bunnies, bees, or rats were used to recruit these children for the “great jihad”? “Child soldiers trained by the Taliban to kill British soldiers,” by Nick Owens, for theMirror, August 2:

CLUTCHING AK-47 rifles and marching to war… these chilling images (see the video player) show child soldiers on their way to fight British troops in Afghanistan.

Britain: Intelligence Chiefs warn of exploding Al Qaeda Females

Warning on al-Qaeda’s new female recruits

The moves follow a spate of attacks in the Middle East conducted by women bombers and increasing concerns among European security services about increased radicalisation of female militants. The officials specifically cite the UK and North Africa as problem areas.

Women’s involvement in recruiting volunteers is a key concern. Though the only known European female suicide bomber was Muriel Degauque, a 38-year-old convert from Belgium who killed herself in Iraq in 2005, European security officials told The Observer that services were monitoring dozens of women involved in logistics or propaganda. There are also fears of women bombers being sent from overseas, particularly north Africa.

The pictures come from a video filmed at an al-Qaeda training camp in Pakistan, where Taliban warlords are turning boys as young as FIVE into trained killers. Recorded only weeks ago, it captures a dozen nervous-looking boys in camouflage uniforms with headbands which say: There is no God but Allah.

The boy soldiers stand in line before being handed rifles and taught to fire rocket-propelled grenades.

They spend their day being brainwashed to kill their Jihad training caught on film as part of an al-Qaeda recruitment drive.

The bewildered children, barely old enough to go to school, are forced to stand in circles stretching and exercising to try to give them strength to carry heavy ammunition.

They live in tents and say prayers before sleeping with weapons lying next to them. When their training is complete the children are filmed walking over the Pakistan-Afghanistan border right into a warzone.

The film shows one boy nodding nervously after he is asked: Are you prepared to die for Allah?

If he is killed, he will not be the first. In one section, the face of an 11-year-old soldier, named as Abdullah al-Rahim, is circled on the screen as he marches away.

Seconds later, images of his body wrapped in a white sheet appear, making him a martyr for al-Qaeda leaders determined to recruit thousands more children.

The footage was obtained by Sunday Mirror investigators after it was posted on an underground al-Qaeda website, which routinely trumpets the death of British soldiers killed by the Taliban.

The seven-minute video was issued by the Islamic Jihad Union, which has training camps in the north Waziristan province in Pakistan.

British commanders in Afghanistan say Taliban fighters increasingly use children as suicide bombers. They are also used as human shields during firefights.

Author and terror expert Neil Doyle said it was one of the most disturbing videos he had seen. He said:It is child abuse of the worst kind and shows the kind of sick tactics al-Qaeda use.

Taliban-trained Muslims infiltrating Britain

In preparation for the jihad against Dar al-Harb. “UK faces threat from British Muslims returning from Afghan” from the Economic Times, August 3:

LONDON: The UK faces serious security threat from British Muslim extremists returning from Afghanistan after fighting alongside Taliban, a top British commander has said.
“There is a link between Kandahar and urban conurbations in the UK,” said Brig. Ed Butler, who spent six months commanding British forces in Afghanistan.

“There are British passport holders, who live in the UK, being found in places like Kandahar,” Brig Butler was quoted as saying by a daily newspaper.

The British commander said he had seen evidence that terror groups based in southern Afghanistan were plotting with Muslim extremists in Britain to carry out attacks in the UK.

He suggested the traffic between Britain and Afghanistan may flow in both directions, with some British Muslims returning from the region and posing a domestic security threat. British Muslims are part of the Taliban militia fighting against UK security forces in Afghanistan, the top British commander said.

According to the report, a Whitehall source confirmed that the UK security services are aware of some radicalized British Muslims returning to the UK from Afghanistan.

There are very small numbers of British citizens traveling out there, being trained up and then returning to the UK,” the source said.

Western intelligence agencies have expressed concerns that Afghanistan and its lawless border with Pakistan are housing camps used by Jihadi groups to train radicals from the Western countries.

Earlier this year, Nigel Inkster, a former deputy head of MI6, warned that Taliban groups over the border in Pakistan have “dispatched terrorists to a number of locations including Spain and the United Kingdom,” the report said.

Pakistan: okay, well, maybe our spies are linked to terrorists.

with thanks to Michelle Malkin  •  August 2, 2008 10:30 AM

Yesterday saw a surprising disclosure* from our intelligence community that Pakistan’s spy agency, the ISI, was linked to radical Islamists who attacked the Indian embassy last month. It wasn’t just a few rogue agents, but instead official support deep within the ISI hierarchy.

Pakistan angrily denied the accusations yesterday. But by yesterday evening…well, their tune has changed a bit:

…by Friday evening, senior Pakistani officials were offering a more nuanced response to U.S. intelligence officials’ allegations of ISI complicity, which were first reported Thursday by the New York Times.

“There is no proof of ISI involvement” in the attack in Kabul, said Pakistani Information Minister Sherry Rehman, who is close to Prime Minister Yusaf Raza Gillani and accompanied him on an official visit to Washington this week.

But she added: “There are probably still individuals within the ISI who are ideologically sympathetic to the Taliban, and act on their own in ways that are not in convergence with the policies and interests of the government of Pakistan. . . . We need to identify these people and weed them out.”

They’re not the only ones in the ISI who need a bit of pruning. These guys really scare me, and I have to wonder when these ugly compromises will have become to ugly to continue.

Meanwhile in Britain, they’re starting to realize that many of the terrorists shooting at British soldiers in Afghanistan arrived there on a British passport:

Earlier this year, it was revealed that RAF Nimrod spyplanes monitoring Taliban radio signals in Afghanistan had heard militants speaking with Yorkshire and Midlands accents.

Disturbingly, Brig Butler suggested the traffic between Britain and Afghanistan may flow in both directions, with some British Muslims returning from the region and posing a domestic security threat.

But that’s OK–British law enforcement (second item) is ready to handle them.

*The content of the disclosure is not at all surprising–the fact that it was disclosed, is.

  1. A pesky mosquito is only tolerated for so long. Once it becomes too much of a nuisance, it is smashed. If Muslims continue on this path, they will become too much of a nuisance.

  2. The danger is that they have to potential to build political machinery that will prevent the shutting down of radical mosques/deportation of radical muslims.

  3. AQ don’t *recruit* 5 year olds, they get them from somewhere and indoctrinate them. What use is a 5 yr old, they can barely tie shoelaces never mind control an AK designed for use by a teen or adult. Perhaps the reason they have resorted to this is that they are losing too many people and they know that we don’t want to shoot kids. The Army won’t like this one bit, probably make them even more determined to dispose of the Taliban. AQ and the Taliban are evil, just evil.
I’m not surprised that there are British Passport holders (I now refuse to call them Brits) fighting in Afghanistan. A lot of the problems we have with radicals and racist bigots arises in the Midlands. Brig. Ed Butler should know what he’s talking about. I believe he used to be CO of 22 Regiment SAS. Sadly he has now resigned, supposedly to spend more time with his family but it’s suspected that he is another high ranking officer who has left in disgust at the way NuLabour have treated the Army.
I should think that terrorist organisations have been sending terrorists all over Europe for years. This is the fault of the EU and the various countries politicians. They have been appeasing in the hope that it will all turn out alright. They are idiots. The Spanish are especially vulnerable. The Madrid bombings resulted in a change of government. It is likely they would have voted that way anyway, but to do it so soon after the bombings it was an enormous PR coup for the terrorists and so I’ve been waiting for another lot. I’m surprised there haven’t been some by now. The Islamic mob want Spain back. The EU and Spain have been talking about building a tunnel between Spain and Morocco. Are they insane.
I despair of some people. I can’t believe the Spanish can be that wimpy. aaargh!

  4. The spanish were going to vote the other way – the bombing did nothing to change the result – and the fact that it was cast as a terrorist success shows that some in the media are aiding and abetting the muslim terrorists.
