TEHRAN, Nov 27 (Reuters) – A man who blinded a woman with acid after she spurned his marriage proposals will also be blinded with acid under Iran’s Islamic law, a newspaper said on Thursday.

Mr Hockman added of Sharia law: “The position of women is one area where the emphasis is, to say the least, rather different.
“I am also sometimes confronted by those who point out that there are elements within the Muslim community who pose a threat to our very security.Â
“My answer is not to dispute them but to suggest that it is for those of us forming part of the majority community to take active steps to address such problems.”Â
Earlier this year, the then Lord Chief Justice Lord Phillips said Sharia law could play a role in some parts of the legal system.
The Archbishop of Canter bury Dr Rowan Williams said in February that the adoption of some aspects of Sharia law seemed “unavoidable”.

I am all for it. Start in the British jails, where muzzies are 11% of the population, despite being only 1.5% of the general population. Mr Hockman is entitled to his opinion and if he wants to sell his backside for money then so be it , who cares! However, advocating for a parallel legal system which is totally incompatible[light years away] with the British legal system, is no more than attempting to create division, which sooner or later is going lead to serious trouble.
