Al Qaeda Made in Australia

Update: Keysar knows nothing, remembers nothing, when its not “out of context”, as usual…. (video)

I still feel sorry for Allen Jones

The Islamic Friendship Association of Australia’s Keysar Trad says it’s possible organisers did not realise Anwar al-Awlaki was an Al Qaeda recruiter when they hired him to give a sermon at a Sydney mosque. He wasn’t at the mosque, you see, and there was nothing on the internet either, and he wasn’t told anything, knows nothing….. blah blah…..

al Qaeda preaches at our mosque

Al Qaeda preaches in our biggest mosque:

AN AL-QAEDA recruiter, described as the No. 1 terrorist threat to America, was engaged by a Sydney youth group to address hundreds of young people – a decision that has caused deep divisions at one of Australia’s largest mosques.

At the same time as Anwar al-Awlaki was advising the extremist later charged with killing 13 people at Fort Hood in Texas, he was in talks with a group, Sydney Muslim Youth, about delivering a sermon to young Australians. He was already well known to security agencies as the spiritual guide to three of the hijackers on September 11, 2001…

The Herald attended the sermon at the Lakemba mosque in February last year but was ejected by organisers…

According to a director of the mosque, Ziad Ghamraoui, Shady Alsuleiman was in charge of organising evening youth events at the time of the sermon. Sheikh Shady refused to comment…, an initiative of the Shady-affiliated United Muslims of Australia, streamed but did not record the speech and has 15 other audio sermons from the imam.

Shady is a contradiction of those bland assurances that the second generation will assimilate as the first did not:

Sheikh Shady Alsuleiman was born in Sydney – Australia from an Arab family who migrated to Australia in the late 60’s. He completed his School Certificate in Sydney before heading overseas on a seven year journey seeking Islamic knowledge in the Islamic world… He operates from Australia’s largest Masjid and Islamic centre (Masjid Ali Bin Abi Taleb, known as Lakemba Mosque).

And he’s formed an Islamic college in Sydney that now has five teachers. One is the Sydney-born Rameh Zoud, who was interviewed six years ago by the ABC in Yemen, where he was studying Islam at a school in a town in al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden’s ancestral homeland:

(Reporter) CORCORAN: The authorities regard (Californian student) Yahya (Rhodus) and the other foreigners here as moderates and today he’s helping settle in nine recent arrivals from Australia, including twenty year old Rameh Zaoud, a student of Lebanese decent from Sydney.

RAMEH ZAOUD: I finished high school in Australia, I finished Year 12 and I studied Koran after high school and I memorised most of the Koran and then I was favoured by God to come here and study Islamic studies…

CORCORAN: What’s your view on Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda? Do you condemn them?

RAMEH ZAOUD: Well I tell you the truth, I was in Australia and I seen a lot on TV but I really don’t have any, nothing makes, I didn’t study it. I didn’t really go into it and nothing really makes sense to me. Like you’d probably know more than me. I really haven’t studied that much.

CORCORAN: Al Qaeda is an extremely sensitive topic here, one that Yahya and another American student monitoring our interview want us to avoid.

As a young Australian you read the newspapers, you watch the TV, it’s been everywhere for the past two and a half years. You must have an opinion. You don’t condemn them?

RAMEH ZAOUD: That’s the thing…

YAHYAH RHODUS: What he’s saying is that he’s not a legal judge such that he can condemn someone and the question itself is a little bit offensive for us to talk bad about someone behind their back without sufficient knowledge of that person.

  1. Only the dhimwits from the Age could take al Hilali serious when he ‘condemns’ Al-Awlaki, knowing he is safe and secure in Yemen.

Yesterday, no one involved with the Lakemba mosque would take responsibility for procuring Mr Awlaki as a speaker. According to a director of Lakemba mosque, Ziad Ghamraoui, Sheikh Shady al-Suleiman was in charge of organising evening youth events at the time of the sermon. Sheikh Suleiman refused to comment. He would not say whether Mr Awlaki was paid and would not comment on the subject of his speech.

Following Mr Awlaki’s lecture, the mosque must now approve all speakers. ”It’s this kind of thing,” Mr Ghamraoui said of why the approval process changed. ”We need to make sure that it’s only moderate scholars that are coming.”

The senior imam at the mosque, Sheikh Hilaly, condemned provocative clerics who radicalised young people.

    BS. All BS!

All of them read the same Koran. All of them teach jihad and strife for the same thing: the subjugation of unbelievers and to fight in Allah’s way to make the world Islamic.

That needs to be understood. Nothing else will do.

  2. I will duplicate my entry for that story, here. Same M.O.!

“Dhumme Dhimmi April 14, 2010 at 11:18 pm
UK Prison Shock: Government efforts to have Muslim chaplains “de-radicalize” Muslim prisoners are failing!
by sheikyermami on April 14, 2010

Shah Jalal Hussain, who also lives in London and spent 18 months in prison after being convicted of raising funds to support terrorism, claimed that prison imams were viewed with open hostility and as “puppets of the regime”.

“A number of times he [the imam] was even attacked physically. He tried to press charges, but dropped them in the end. Prison didn’t change my views at all, in fact it made me stronger in my beliefs,” he said.”…

TAQIYYA: The imams of islam are there solely to give comfort to the soldiers of islam to continue their global quest of world domination.
Remember all the US imams who where discovered aiding and abetting jihad in prisons.”

  3. In Europe they say the second generation of muslims was worse than the first , the third generation worse again…they cannot and do not integrate.

  4. Another incident that could “undermine dhimmi confidence in muslims”, unless Rudd, the media, and Keysar to tell us that there wasn’t much information about Anwar al-Awlaki on the internet when he gave the talk
(as he was doing on Radio National when I woke up)

Here is Trad err err erring away in a video clip on the ABC:

  5. Speaking of Australia…

In 2004, Osama bin Laden issued a du’a (declaration of war) against Australia for assisting East Timor in gaining independence from Muslim Indonesia. Though it is 99% Roman Catholic and Animist, East Timor is considered Dar al-Islam since it was brutally conquered under the banner of Tawhid by General Suharto in 1975 (accompanied by a genocide against the indigenous Christians and mushrikun, in which 1/3 of the population was slain). It is today, like so many territories, branded Dar al-Ghasab, or land usurped from Allah’s chosen Ummah by rebellious ahl al-dhimma, land which must be returned to the auspices of al-Dawla al-Islamiyya — the Islamic Empire — and to the rule of Sharia (which is siratul-mustaqim — the only accepted legal “path”) — at the point of al-sayf (the proselytizing sword).

  6. Great work you’re doing, Philip!

Great site you got, very educational. Keep it up. You should do some guest blogging here, we need more like you.

  7. * Great work you’re doing, Philip!

Seconded! Hopefuly he is doing some lecturing at Macquarie, or Monash… (etc)

  8. Australia needs to do something fast to prevent this wretched religion from cloning. If our enlightened P.M Mr. Rudd is scared shitless to take a firm decision on their code of conduct and ethics, then, compulsory family planning must be forced on them so that we can see a peaceful end to them all.
