Their imam  hardly knew them, knows nothing, never called for jihad:
Sheik Omar El Banna  denied yesterday that he called  young Muslims to arms,  such as Amira Karroum, 22, and her husband, Yusuf Ali, who were killed in the rebel-held town of Aleppo on Saturday.
A memorial was held for the couple on Monday night at Sheik El Banna’s Masjid Al Noor mosque in Granville, where Ms Karroum’s sister, Rose, also worships. Rose, who returned to the Gold Coast to be with her grieving mother Honor Deane yesterday, has pledged on Facebook: “Until Victory or Shahadah.”
“Devout Young Australian Men” by Christina McIntosh
Or, putting it more succinctly: “Better out than in…so long as they can’t come back”.
Australia’s ABC, however, would never dare to even obliquely hint at such an approach. Â Note, by the way, the name of the person reporting this latest story – “Mohamed Taha”.
“Young Australians”. They are not Australians. They are jihad-minded pious Muslims who currently happen to possess Australian passports.  Their loyalty is not given to the Infidel nation of Australia, its laws and customs. Their loyalty – as shown by their decision to travel to Syria and participate in the Sunni-vs-Shiite or Sunni vs Alawite jihad bloodbath there (and quite probably with a side serving of hatred and violence meted out to the defenceless Syrian Christian minority) – is given to the Ummah or Empire of Islam, whether in its Sunni or its Shiite manifestations. – CM
‘The New South Wales Community Relations Commission has expressed concern that young Australians (sic: young Muslims with Australian passports – CM) who are drawn into overseas conflicts (who are going off to take part in Jihad overseas – CM) are being exploited.
Sure they are being exploited; but the exploitation starts when they are programmed into Islam as young children.  For the duty to wage jihad – whether against non-Muslims or against other Muslims who are deemed to be insufficiently Islamic or to be practising the wrong sort of Islam – is part and parcel of the Islamic system, the ideology or cult that is Islam, which Winston Churchill once summed up – in “The Story of the Malakand Field Force” – as “the religion of blood and war”. – CM
‘The comments come following a memorial held in Sydney for a young Australian couple (a young Muslim couple – CM) believed to be the latest victims of the Syrian conflict (that is: who are believed to have met their deaths whilst obeying the Quranic verse that promises ‘paradise’ to those who ‘slay and are slain’ in jihad fi sabil allah. – CM).
‘Yusuf Ali and his wife Amira are thought to have been killed by the Free Syrian Army near Aleppo last week.
‘The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is trying to confirm their deaths.
I’m all for confirming that they are well and truly dead; but if they’re not, then what I want to see is steps being taken to prevent their return.   – CM
‘The Australian Federal Police (AFP) and intelligence agencies are thought to be tracking about 100 Australians (that is: 100 Muslims currently possessing the tactical and temporary convenience of a passport issued by the  despised and illegittimate-in-Muslim-eyes filthy Infidel nation of Australia – CM) active in the Syrian conflict.
‘Active in the Syrian conflict’.  That is: up to their eyeballs in the jihad bloodbath in Syria. – CM
‘Chariman of the Community Relations Commission Stepan Kerkasharian (who is, I believe, of Armenian Christian background ; he is the last person who should be deploring the departure of Muslims from Australia – CM) says the concerns and passions of young people are being exploited.
“These conflicts can be painted as holy wars (no: they are jihad, plain and simple – CM) and therefore swell the fervour of devout young Australians”, he said.
“Devout young Australians”.  Young Australians who are devout followers of the assorted non-Muslim faiths are not involved in this at all.  No: what’s happening here is, to be specific, the departure for Syria of pious well-instructed young Muslims who have become aware of their obligation to engage in Jihad; in this case, jihad to overthrow the deemed-heretical Alawites and their Shiite allies and impose a Sunni Muslim regime; or conversely, Shiites who wish to assert their version of Islam over against the Sunnis. – CM
“This is false fervour“.
From the historical point of view it is not ‘false’; it is pure Islam, Islam taken straight up. Waves of jihad fervour like this  – or even more violent and widespread – periodically sweep through the Ummah.
Churchill, in the book I have already mentioned – “The Story of the Malakand Field Force” – includes a vivid description of the phenomenon as he saw it on the North-West Frontier in the late 19th century, and in the Soudan during the ascendancy of the Mahdi. Â Let us now contemplate that passage, as the fervour for jihad rises amongst the youth of the large and increasingly-aggressive Mohammedan colonies now established all over the lands of the Infidels, including in Australia:
“...the Mahommedan religion increases, instead of lessening, the fury of intolerance. Â
“It was originally propagated by the sword, and ever since, its votaries have been subject, above the people of all other creeds, to this form of madness.
“In a moment the fruits of patient toil, the prospects of material prosperity, the fear of death itself, are flung aside.
“The more emotional Pathans are powerless to resist. Â All rational considerations are forgotten. Seizing their weapons, they become Ghazis – as dangerous and as sensible as mad dogs: fit only to be treated as such.
“While the more generous spirits among the tribesmen become convulsed in an ecstasy of religious bloodthirstiness, poorer and more material souls derive additional impulses from the influence of others, the hopes of plunder, and the joy of fighting.
“Thus whole nations are roused to arms. Â Thus the Turks repel their enemies, the Arabs of the Soudan break the British squares, and the rising on the Indian frontier spreads far and wide..”.
“In each case civilisation is confronted with militant Mahommedanism.  The forces of progress clash with those of reaction.  The religion of blood and war (namely, Islam – CM) is face to face with that of peace.  Luckily the religion of peace is usually the better armed”.
Churchill is here focusing on the Muslim assault upon the dar al Harb, rather than on the internecine wars of Islam, of which the longest-running and deepest-seated is the permanent and intractable warfare between Sunni and Shiite, now exploding in both Syria and Iraq and simmering steadily in Afghanistan and Pakistan; but his description of the frenzied rush to Jihad applies equally well whether that Jihad is being unloosed against Infidels or (as now in Syria) against other Muslims deemed insufficiently sharia-compliant or heretical. –Â CM
“Young people are passionate, and easily persuaded to a cause”.
Avoid the banal generalities, Mr Kerkyasharian. Passionate young Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists from Australia are not rushing off to wage war in Syria; even those Christians who are aware of and agonise over the sufferings of their co-religionists who are in danger of being subjected to genocide at the hands of murderous Muslims in Syria are not advocating that young Christian men should go to Syria, equip themselves with guns, and leap into the fray. – CM
‘Mr Kerkyasharia says many young people are being misled for geopolitical agendas.
No: they are being reminded that one of their primary religious duties, as Muslims, is to wage Jihad, whether against Infidels or against heretics. –Â CM
“They are being duped. What is happenign over in Syria at the moment is that people of the same faith are fighting each other for what I would say is geopolitical gain”, he said.
Well, he’s right about the geopolitical side of it: Islam, the Ummah, is grimly intent upon seizing and holding this-worldly ‘turf’, and always has been – for detailed discussion, see Patrick Sookhdeo’s book “Faith, Power and Territory”.  But he’d have been more accurate, re Syria, to say’ “What is happening over in Syria at the moment is that Sunni Muslims and Shiite Muslims who hate and have always hated each other’s guts are fighting one another for supremacy; the Sunnis bankrolled by various oil-rich Arab Muslim entities and egged on by others are determined not only to defeat the Shiites but to crush and/ or destroy both the Shiite-aligned Alawite heretics and also the Christians whom the Alawites for their own selfish reasons have to some extent protected.” – CM
“Of course, one’s religious belief is central to their identity, but there are evil people int he world who simply seek power, political power”.
In the case of Islam, there is no contradiction involved, because Islam is all about power, period.  It is, as one writer put it, “the religion of dominance”.  Hassan al-Banna, a founding theorist of the Muslim Brotherhood or Ikhwan, stated flatly, “Islam is to dominate, and not be dominated”.  And one 19th century scholar, Palgrave, defined Islam’s ‘theology’ as “a pantheism of Force”.  – CM
“They seek fervent young men as cannon fodder to achieve that power.”
Exactly as Mohammed did, and his ‘companions’, and the so-called ‘four rightly guided caliphs’. Â – CM
‘The Commission believes that most of the young people drawn to the Syrian conflict intend to engage in humanitarian work but are misled upon arrival.
Really?  They all go there to hand out blankets, run soup kitchens, and look after the wounded?  Sorry, I just don’t believe it. – CM
“Initially, they are motivated to do humanitarian work”, he said.
“But once they get there, they are confronted with a different reality”.
I’m not so sure about that, given what we’ve been told about Ms Muslimah Amira’s Facebook page and her openly declared zeal for Jihad.  She wasn’t thinking about knitting socks or giving out ration packs to refugee families. – CM
‘There is a growing concern about the number of Australians heading to Syria to join the conflict.
There should be concern only about what these young and middle aged Mohammedans are likely to do if they manage not to get shot or blown up and are foolishly permitted to return to Australia, battle-hardened and blooded and all too likely to continue waging Jihad – this time against the dirty Infidels –  right here in Australia. – CM
‘In a report to Parliament in 2012, the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) went as far as to warn that Australians fighting in Syria may return to “engage in terrorism”.
If we are stupid enough to let them back in through the gates we can be absolutely certain that at some point, sooner or later but probably sooner, some of them will carry out violent jihad against Infidel targets in Australia. Â Guaranteed. Â So why are we proposing to go on playing round after round of Muslim Roulette, “will they or won’t they”?? –Â CM
‘It is thought that some of the Australians (Australian-passport-holding Muslims – CM) who have been killed have been fighting with Jabhat al-Nusra, a group with direct links to Al Qaeda.
And even if they didn’t, they’re still waging Jihad as per the instructions in Quran-Sira-Hadith and all orthodox schools of Sharia Law, whether Sunni or Shiite. –Â CM
‘In December 2013, the AFP and NSW Police arrested two men involved in facilitating travel to Syria and allegedly attempting to travel to Syria to fight.
We should have deported them…to Syria. Â Let Assad deal with them. –Â CM
‘Assisant Commissioner Neil Gaughan, the national manager of the AFP’s counter-terrorism unit, said in December that Syria poses many threats.
As does every other Muslim entity on the face of the planet. – CM
“We need to make sure that we work with the community leaders and others to ensure that they get the message out there as well that it’s not safe to travel to Syria for a vast number of reasons.“, he said.
“The primary one being that you could potentially get yourself killed”.
What’s the problem with that? From the Muslim POV, those who “slay and are slain” in the “cause of Allah” are the only ones who are guaranteed exemption from the much-feared ‘torments of the grave” and an express ticket to the Islamic Paradise; getting killed is an incentive, not a deterrent, for the thoroughly-pious Muslim.  And from the Infidel POV, every jihad-minded Muslim who leaves Australia and trots off to Syria to “slay and be slain” – and does indeed get slain – is one less Muslim threatening the lives and property of us Aussie Infidels here.  The only concern of the Australian government should be to make sure that those who go off to Syria, where they may reasonably be supposed to be engaging in Jihad, are at all costs prevented – should they not get killed in Syria – from ever getting back inside our gates.  We should not make much noise about whatever we decide to do to effect such a closing of the gates, because it is the last thing that the leaders of the Muslim Ummah colony here in Australia is going to want (the last thing they want is for their numerical presence here to be reduced in size and therefore in actual and perceived power) but we should be doing something, fast. – CM’
‘The Community Relations Commission says young people who are passionate about helping the Syrian people (sic: what “Syrian people”? Â The people with the best claim to be called ‘the Syrian people” are the desperately-imperilled Syriac Christian minority, who represent cultural continuity with the pre-islamic ancestral population of Syria; then there are the Arab or Arabised Muslims, divided between Sunnis and Shiites and quasi-Muslim Alawites, and the Kurdish Muslims; and I would hazard the guess tha none of the various Muslim parties is particularly interested in the wellbeing of anyone except those on their own ‘side’. Â I would be very surprised if the average Sunni Muslim in Australia cares two straws for the suffering of anyone in Syria apart from that of their fellow Sunni Muslims.– CM) need to go through the legal and legitimate channels, such as providing aid to organisations helping refugees from the conflict.
I doubt that the most pious Muslims will be very interested in donating to or volunteering with secular or  Christian aid agencies. – CM
“it is very difficult for young people who have deep beliefs and deep faith”, Mr Kerkyasharian said.
Especially when they deeply, fervently, sincerely believe that it is their right to wage Jihad on all fronts by all means until the entire world has been subjected to Islam – that is, until Muslims (the right kind of Muslims (which kind varies according to whether the pious Believer is Sunni or Shiite) rule the whole world and the sharia is imposed on every human being on earth, whether Muslim or non-Muslim .  See the Quran Surah 9, verse 29, for the blueprint.  – CM
“If we need to provide support, if we need to assist peole in their quest for freedom or liberty or for the achievement of human rights (Mr Kerkyasharian: you need to realize that classical Islam is about Submission, or Dominance-and-Submission, not ‘freedom’, and that classical Islam when established systematically violates everything that we westerners think of as human rights – CM), it should be done through the proper channels and democratic processes.”
‘Six other Australians have previously been reported killed in the Syrian conflict.
That makes six jihad-minded mohammedans that the AFP and ASIO does not have to anxiously and expensively worry about.– CM
‘The conflict has seen up to 11,000 foreign fighters  (that is: Muslims from other lands – CM) involved, one of the largest foreign contingents since the 1980s Soviet occupation of Afghanistan.”
To repeat: the primary aim and object of those majority-Infidel countries from which Muslims – whether converts or those raised in Muslim families – are going off to Syria to wage jihad, should be to prevent said Muslims (should they survive) from ever getting back in. – CM
