“Billions of Muslims”! The numbers grow exponentially by the day, at least among those who want to intimidate others with an exaggerated show of their power and influence. In any case, we see here yet again that the Muhammad cartoon controversy is all about trying to compel the West to limit the freedom of expression. The objective is to manipulate Western countries into adopting what are essentially Sharia blasphemy laws so as not to “undermine the global aspirations for peaceful co-existence as well as social and inter-faith harmony.” And it’s working very well. Charlie Hebdo republished the cartoons, but most publications in the West wouldn’t dare publish them even once.

 

Imam Yahya Pallavicini, president of the Italian Islamic Religious Community (Coreis), has condemned the republishing of Charlie Hebdo Mohammed cartoons.

The Muslim leader told Italian media the publication was “a confirmation of their insensitivity and their crude pursuit of notoriety based on provocation and unintelligent satire”.
