Germany: Six Months Hard Time for Criticizing Radical Islam

Leading German Islam critic Michael Stürzenberger was sentenced to six months in prison for criticizing Islam. The outspoken activist vowed to appeal and to keep fighting.
Michael Stürzenberger became an Islam critic after the 2008 Mumbai Massacre, when his colleague and TV producer Ralph Burkei was killed after jumping from a hotel window in the Taj Mahal Hotel, along with 165 other victims. Stürzenberger has since evolved into the most prominent critic of what he calls “political Islam” in Germany, on a par with Tommy Robinson in UK, with whom he has appeared several times at PEGIDA rallies in Dresden.
Along with former Al-Qaida member turned Islam critic Irfan Peci, Stürzenberger has been holding soapbox-style rallies in German cities to inform about the dangers of radical Islam, in which he bravely engages in public debate with all comers, and is routinely insulted, threatened and even attacked by Muslims trying to prove they represent “the Religion of Peace”.
On August 20, unknown assailants threw objects at Stürzenberger in the industrial town of Gladbeck, hitting a handicapped woman on the head. When Stürzenberger gave chase, he was also hit on the head by a thrown object and knocked down.
Stürzenberger’s speeches are exceedingly well-researched and rely on authentic quotes from the Koran. He always makes very clear he is not attacking “all Muslims,” but merely criticizing “political Islam,” which seeks to infiltrate and usurp Western societies.
Nonetheless, activist judges and leftist prosecutors keep trying to find a way to shut Stürzenberger up and abolish free speech where Islam is concerned. The verdicts border on the ridiculous:

Michael Stürzenberger Sentenced to Six Months in Prison
The German Islam-critical activist Michael Stürzenberger has been sentenced to six months in prison for the crime of reporting official German government statistics on culturally enriched crime. One assumes that Mr. Stürzenberger will have to do his time in a Muslim-rich environment, since Muslim migrants are over-represented in the German prison population.
