Haiti: Islamic 'Charity' Means More Mosques

Nothing for nothing. The greatest  gift is Islam.

What could be more important than spreading Islam? Was there ever a better opportunity to gain new recruits before the earthquake?

Islam is a mercy to all mankind, and those who oppose it cause wars for which they are responsible.

One of the largest Islamic charities in the United States, LIFE for Relief and Development, has used the ongoing crisis in Haiti to fund mosque expansion in Haiti.

Al Fatiha Mosque in Haiti

Haiti has almost no Muslims. Even Islamic sources, which are notorious for wildly overestimating Muslim population levels, put the figure at 3,000 Muslims in the Caribbean nation out of nearly 9.9 million people. Reports indicate that as much as $3 million will be used to “renovate” 5 mosques.

“Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha ila Allah,” — “God is greater, God is greater, there is no god but God.”

Criminals in Haiti Raping Quake Survivors

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti —  Bandits in Haiti are preying on vulnerable earthquake survivors, even raping women, in makeshift camps which were set up in the capital of Port-au-Prince after the disaster.

“With the blackout that’s befallen the Haitian capital, bandits are taking advantage to harass and rape women and young girls under the tents,” Haiti’s national police chief Mario Andresol said yesterday.

“We have more than 7,000 detainees in the streets who escaped from the National Penitentiary the evening of the earthquake… It took us five years to apprehend them. Today they are running wild.” Fox News

Haiti Nears Breaking Point as Aid Is Snarled, Looters Roam

Robert Spencer:

Meanwhile, Sheila Musaji of The American Muslim kindly sends along this summary of Muslim aid to Haiti. Since I am only interested in the truth, despite the vicious defamation, lies and hostility that she and others at that site have directed at me, I happily pass it along to you.

Hugh Fitzgerald:

For god’s sake, Musaji offers a list of a handful of Muslim countries merely highlight the Muslim view of charity: from Muslims, for Muslims. Only in cases where the charity, if directed at non-Muslims, will help the image, and thus the cause, of Islam is such charity allowed.

And look at the pitifulamounts involved. The Muslim members of OPEC have received more than twelve trillion dollars since 1973 alone. The U.A.E. all by itself, with a total population that surely cannot reach a million, is sitting on a rainy-day sum last reported to be $800 billion. The Al-Saud have equal amounts or even more, squirreled away.

Saudis, Kuwaitis, and other oil-rich Muslim states send billions in aid to Haiti — no, wait…

Actually, Muslim countries are conspicuous by their absence. This AP report (thanks to Dan) lists aid to Haiti coming from the United States, Canada, the World Bank, Britain, Australia, Norway, Japan, Italy, the European Commission, the Netherlands, the Italian bishops’ conference, Denmark, Finland, South Korea, the Irish telecommunications company Digicel, Spain, Germany, India, China, Sweden, Venezuela, Mexico, France, Iceland, Portugal, Taiwan, Israel, and Switzerland.

Nary a majority-Muslim country in the bunch. Was this just a manipulative omission by an “Islamophobic” Associated Press? The notion is laughable; few news sources have been more compliant with the Muslim Brotherhood agenda than AP. So is it just a reflection of the fact that zakat, Islamic alms, are not to be given to kuffar? Probably.

Chavez got it all worked out:

Here we go: Chavez says U.S. occupying Haiti in the name of aid

CARACAS (Reuters) – Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez on Sunday accused the United States of using the earthquake in Haiti as a pretext to occupy the devastated Caribbean country and offered to send fuel from his OPEC nation.  “I read that 3,000 soldiers are arriving, Marines armed as if they were going to war. There is not a shortage of guns there, my God. Doctors, medicine, fuel, field hospitals, that’s what the United States should send,” Chavez said on his weekly television show. “They are occupying Haiti undercover.”

Haiti, a bottomless pit:

Sultan Knish: Friday Afternoon Roundup – Death by Hypocrisy

The media has reluctantly broken away from its latest celebrity tabloid feeding frenzy, to shamelessly exploit the disaster in Haiti, and everyone from credit card companies to aid groups to the news media to the corrupt government of Haiti are looking to profit from the disaster.

Accompanying this are attacks on anyone who points out that would have been a manageable disaster everyone else, is unmanageable in Haiti because it lacks a working society.

Rush Limbaugh is being savaged for questioning Obama’s willingness to throw 100 million and troop deployments to Haiti, at a time when Americans at home need help, some no less so than Haitians. But the United States has been helping Haiti all along, with no good result, as the National Review points out.

Since 1973, the United States has been the world’s largest foreign-aid donor to Haiti, which ranks among the world’s poorest countries.

From 1990 to 2005, the U.S. sent $1.46 billion to Haiti in aid from development assistance and children’s health through the Economic Support Fund, the U.S. food program, the Peace Corps, and foreign military training (although that was only $4.6 million, with $3 million coming in 1995). More recently,

In May 2008, the Bush administration announced that it would send an additional $25 million in emergency food aid to Haiti, bringing its total emergency contribution to $45 million . . . Congress provided $100 million for hurricane relief and reconstruction assistance for Haiti and other Caribbean countries in the FY 2009 continuing appropriations resolution, signed September 2008. Haiti received an estimated $287 million in regular appropriations for FY 2009.

So much for Clinton’s “modest aid”… And all the aid in the world won’t do any good, when your country is run like this.

Since 2004, a 9,000-strong U.N. peacekeeping force has been on the ground. Haiti is the third most corrupt country in the world, according to corruption watchdog Transparency International, compounding the difficulties agencies face in delivering aid in an accountable and transparent way. Power lies in the hands of a few elite, leaving ministries unable to implement policies and divert funds to the local level.

Aid to Haiti is the same old, “give a man a fish” routine that makes most of our attempts to help the world’s hungry and needy so ultimately pointless. More aid won’t help Haiti, regime change might.

Haiti isn’t responsible for the earthquake, but it is responsible for a mismanaged society that isn’t capable of taking care of earthquake victims. And while I sympathize, I have to ask when was the last time Haiti or any of the countries we help out sent us aid.

Bill Clinton, the UN’s special envoy to Haiti, who will be heading up relief efforts… bears some of the responsibility for the current state of Haiti today.

And you can’t have a disaster without celebrities blaming Bush, or in this case the failure of the Copenhagen talks.

Angry Haitians block roads with corpses: witness

PORT-AU-PRINCE (Reuters) – Angry Haitians set up roadblocks with corpses in Port-au-Prince to protest at the delay in emergency aid reaching them after a devastating earthquake, an eyewitness said,

Shaul Schwarz, a photographer for TIME magazine, said he saw at least two downtown roadblocks formed with bodies of earthquake victims and rocks.

“They are starting to block the roads with bodies, it’s getting ugly out there, people are fed up with getting no help,” he told Reuters.

The natives riot because we do not respond quickly enough with more handouts….they need to get together and start doing some more Voodoo magic…

What is it about natural disasters that brings out so much stupid on both sides of the political aisle?

Haitians are suffering. We should debate how best to help them in the short andlong term.

But how about a ceasefire on this kind of crap, via Tim Blair:

“Actor Danny Glover believes that the Haitian earthquake was caused by climate change and global warming…”When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I’m sayin’?”

We already know the answer, but I’ll ask, anyway: Will Valerie Jarrett be as“speechless” over Glover’s fulminations as she was over Pat Robertson’s?

Wesley J. Smith weighs in at First Things: “Gaia has attacked people who have no impact on global warming because of Copenhagen? Good grief. Robertson and Glover have a lot in common, despite their worshipping different deities.”

World in Denial:

not naming the enemy, perverting language, avoiding words like “Muslims, Islam and Jihad” like the plague has made clowns out of  politicians. The  media is complicit and is equally guilty in their dereliction of duty to report the truth.  The few who do, like Geert Wilders, are forced into hiding, are vilified, smeared, blackmailed and intimidated  and face financial ruin due to law-fare, better known as financial jihad.

Here is another revolting article from AFP, citing an administration official, “who spoke on condition of anonymity”- and what did he say, this brilliant Obama  official? Well, nothing really:

Rampage at Fort Hood was ‘act of terrorism’: US official

“He said it was unclear if the suspected gunman, army psychiatrist Major Nidal Hasan, was directed to act by outside extremists.”

“This is an ongoing investigation,” said the official. “Motivation is always a difficult thing to determine.”

Not. Nidal Hasan’s killing spree was an act of jihad. His personal jihad.  Not “Sudden Jihad Syndrome”- just jihad. The duty of every believing Mohammedan, well planned and executed. He sought legal advice from his imam Anwar al-Awlaqi  in Yemen, who assured him that spilling the blood of his compatriots in the army would please Allah. Nidal Hasans jihad is well documented here on this site and many others. Yet, the idea that a jihadist must be part of an organization or that the jihadist must have a “record of violence” to be a threat is preposterous. People who distort reality in this way need  more than therapy.  Preferably not from the likes of Hasan Nidal.

Compare this with the attacks on Rush:

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh and televangelist Pat Robertson are being scolded for their comments in the immediate aftermath of an earthquake in Haiti that has killed tens of thousands, according to early estimates.

Critics from both the left and right are denouncing their remarks as insensitive to the disaster and attempts to score political points off human tragedy.

He added: “We’ve already donated to Haiti. It’s called the U.S. income tax.

Rush is right!

Rush Limbaugh is not backing down from his claim that President Barack Obama is trying to score political points off the earthquake in Haiti.

Yet, no matter how much money is thrown down the big black hole in Haiti (or in Africa, or in Muslim occupied countries around the world)  it will never make a difference. It will never make them like us, and it will never stop them from hating us and working towards our demise.

The list of countries sending aid is below the fold. It includes Cuba, for heaven’s sake.

But there’s not a Muslim entity in sight. This is because they’re so poor, you see. Poor Saudi Arabia, for example. Lots of money for jihad but not a penny for infidel suffering. I guess they have their own trash to clean up?

I don’t believe in Hell. If there were such a place however, I know a particular group who’d have their own special circle in The Inferno, one reserved just for them…which is just as well since they don’t mingle with the dirty kuffar, even amid the fire and brimstone.

Rush Limbaugh: Don’t Donate to Haiti Victims

The Puff Ho  eagerly tries to smear Rush with it:  If you’re not a compassionate sucker you are the enemy

Rush Limbaugh is not backing down from his claim that President Barack Obama is trying to score political points off the earthquake in Haiti.

Challenged by a caller during his show Thursday, Limbaugh said: “If I said it, I meant to say it, and I do believe that everything is political to this president.”

“Everything this president sees is a political opportunity, including Haiti, and he will use it to burnish his credentials with minorities in this country and around the world, and to accuse Republicans of having no compassion,” Limbaugh said in comments flagged by the liberal blog Think Progress.

Limbaugh has come under fire from both the right and the left for saying that the earthquake played directly into Obama’s hands, allowing him to look “compassionate.” The host claimed the White House’s response would bolster Obama’s standing in the “light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country.”

He also appeared to discourage help for the island nation, saying, “We’ve already donated to Haiti. It’s called the U.S. income tax.”   Read more: politico.com

But no matter how much money we throw at the problem, they will still call us “racist” and hate us!

Update from Tim Blair:

Actor Danny Glover believes that the Haitian earthquake was caused by climate change and global warming:

Says Glover: “When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I’m sayin’?” His obscene opinion would be bigger news if Glover had – in the manner of others – idiotically blamed a less-fashionable deity.

(NEWSER) – Rush Limbaugh doesn’t see why you should donate to the Haiti earthquake relief effort. “We’ve already donated to Haiti!” he declared. “It’s called the US income tax!” He then goes on to point out that lots of churches and other groups are already trying to help. “There are people who do charitable work every day in Haiti. It’s not as though… it’s our fault.”

“There are people that have been trying to save Haiti, just as we’re trying to save Africa. You just can’t keep throwing money at it, because the dictatorships there just take it all,” he continues, apparently having drifted onto the topic of Haitian poverty. Besides, even if the people did get the money, that would just stop them from bothering to support themselves. “It’s a simple matter of self-reliance.”
