A taxpayer-funded Texas waterpark has sparked backlash by organizing a Muslim-only day to celebrate Eid. 

Epic Waters in Grand Prairie, Texas drew outrage this week as it released fliers for the June 1 event, which will demand a ‘modest dress code’ and serve only Halal-slaughtered meat. 

Posters for the event say it will be ‘for Muslims only’ to create a ‘family-friendly environment’, with tickets starting at $55 each. 

The waterpark’s website notes that men and women will not be separated during the event, but attendees are told to ‘uphold Islamic etiquette’ by ‘lowering the gaze’ throughout the day. 

‘Please follow the event’s modest dress code, and practice ḥayāʾ (modesty) through respectful behavior,’ the event says. 

All attendees are ‘expected to dress in accordance with Islamic values’, and the waterpark says all swimwear must meet Muslim guidelines. 

The event was criticized across social media, with many questioning if a taxpayer-funded space is allowed to exclude certain demographics from its events. 

Conservative commentator and radio host Dana Loesch led the backlash, questioning: ‘How is a taxpayer-funded, city-owned entity allowed to discriminate against non-Muslims at a public water park?’

And what has happened thus far? The ambassador has been summoned for a cup of tea. Frankly if we mean it, we should expel the ambassador and say we will never have embassies in our country encouraging this kind of behaviour.”

Air defences in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have intercepted missiles and incoming drone attacks from Iran.

The UAE Ministry of Defence said late on Monday afternoon that it was intercepting ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones across the country. It later reported that three missiles had been intercepted, with a fourth falling into the sea.

The strikes came as tension in the Gulf increased, with efforts to extend the ceasefire in the United States-Israeli war on Iran having failed to make a breakthrough, and rhetoric remaining elevated on both sides as they face off regarding the blockades in the Strait of Hormuz.

A senior Iranian military official said later on state TV that “Iran had no plans to target the UAE”.

Trump says US to help free up ships in Strait of Hormuz starting Monday morning

The US president has posted on Truth Social to announce that ships blocked in the Strait of Hormuz will be freed up on Monday morning.

Trump reportedly told Israeli media outlet Kan News that he has studied the new proposal from Iran and found it “unacceptable.”

  • Iran’s government spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei says the United States has responded to its 14-point plan to find a permanent end to the war, and that it is reviewing that response.
  • US President Donald Trump, in comments to Israeli media, said that the proposal is “unacceptable”.
  • The plan calls for non-aggression guarantees, lifting of the US naval blockade and an end to the war “on all fronts“, including in Lebanon.
  • Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it set a 30-day deadline for the US military to end its blockade of ports, adding that Trump “must choose between an impossible military operation or a bad deal”.

These are not serious demands. Iran is in no position to make demands.

Trump must finish the job. A regime like the Iranian cannot be allowed to exist anywhere on the planet.

60% Of Voters Believe France Is Witnessing ‘A Replacement Of The Population By Non-Europeans’

According to the data from IFOP, 7 percent are undecided.

According to the French Directorate General for Foreigners (DGEF), valid French residence permits in 2025 hit an unprecedented level of 4.5 million, an increase of approximately 3 percent, driven primarily by multi-year permits and long-term resident cards, writes Le Journal du Dimanche.

For 2025, one in three permits was issued for family reasons (1.5 million), while one in five was an automatic renewal. New permits also increased to 384,000, a jump of 11 percent, which was partly driven by a 65 percent increase in admissions for humanitarian reasons.

Foreigners with legal status now represent 8.1 percent of France’s adult population, with a high concentration of nationalities from the Maghreb. At the same time, regularizations have declined (-10%, to 28,610), while deportations have increased sharply (+15.7%, to 24,985), reaching their highest level in a decade, notes JDD.

Maréchal more recently posted a telling video of the number of illegals coming to the EU, blasting French leaders for their continuous stance of “above all, let’s do nothing!”

Specifically, 60 percent of French people told ifop they believe we are witnessing “a replacement of the French population by non-European populations, mainly from the African continent.”

The poll also found that 66 percent see it as a bad development, compared to 9 percent who see it as a good thing.

Two weeks ago, Marion Maréchal, leader of Identité Libertés, posted to X: “60% of French people think that we are witnessing ‘a replacement of the French population by non-European populations mainly from Africa’ according to @IfopOpinion. To our greatest misfortune, our rulers are among the 40%.”

These are all valid concerns, as Muslims across the globe are often seen occupying roads, blocking traffic, and disrupting the daily lives of commuters while demanding their right to offer their prayers.
