Trump attacks media over Iran war coverage

Trump has hit out against media coverage of the US-Israeli war on Iran, saying that reports that Tehran is “doing well” militarily against Washington amount to “virtual TREASON”.

“They are aiding and abetting the enemy! All it does is give Iran false hope when none should exist. These are American cowards that are rooting against our Country,” the US president wrote on Truth Social, without specifying which media reports he was referring to exactly.

“Only Losers, Ingrates, and Fools are able to make a case against America!” he added.

Trump and other senior members of his administration have lambasted US media outlets for critical coverage of the war.

Citing unnamed officials familiar with the matter, CNN reported this week that Trump “personally pushed” the US Department of Justice to issue subpoenas to reporters covering the war in a push to identify their sources.

President Donald Trump on Sunday rejected Iran’s latest response to the American offer to end the conflict as “TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE,” warning Tehran it would “be laughing no longer” after reports indicated the regime refused key U.S. nuclear demands while pushing for sanctions relief, frozen assets, an end to the naval blockade, and control over the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran submitted its response Sunday through Pakistani mediators following nearly 10 days of deliberations over the latest American proposal, which reportedly centered on ending hostilities, restoring maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, and opening a roughly 30-day negotiation window over Tehran’s nuclear program, uranium enrichment activities, and stockpile of highly enriched uranium — issues Trump has repeatedly insisted must end with Iran permanently barred from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

Israeli warplanes strike Sana’a International Airport in Yemen’s Houthi-occupied capital city, destroying the passenger hall and other buildings, and bombs power station days after a Houthi missile exploded outside Israel’s largest airport.

Israeli warplanes on Tuesday afternoon bombed multiple targets in the Yemeni capital city of Sana’a, days after pro-Iranian rebel forces in Yemen launched a missile that exploded next to Israel’s largest air travel hub.

According to preliminary reports, IDF fighter jets struck the Dhaban power station, just outside of Sana’a, along a power distribution facility and a cement factory.

In addition, Israeli warplanes hit the Sana’a International Airport.

Multiple aircraft were destroyed in the strike, and the passenger hall and flight service areas were also hit.

At least two dozen hits have been reported in the Israeli airstrikes.

The attacks came shortly after the Israeli military warned Yemen of an impending attack on the Sana’a International Airport, calling for its evacuation.

IDF Col. Avichay Adraee, the Israeli military’s chief Arabic spokesperson, issued an “urgent warning to everyone in the vicinity of Sanaa International Airport: We urge you to evacuate the airport area immediately and to warn others nearby to do the same. Failure to do so endangers your lives.”

Israel bombs Beirut’s southern suburb as it targets Hezbollah commander

It was the first attack on Beirut’s southern suburbs since a truce in the Israel-Hezbollah war went into force on April 17.

Israeli forces have bombed Beirut’s southern suburbs and claim to have assassinated eliminated Malek Balou, a commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force.

“Israeli warplanes launched an attack, targeting Ghobeiri” in the southern suburbs, Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported, as a loud explosion and extensive damage were reported from the area.

The Israel Defense Forces identified the target as Malek Balou, a commander in the group’s elite special operations unit.

 AFP:  “Malek Ballout, the operations commander in the Radwan Force,” was killed in the Israeli strike.

This action follows a series of Israeli operations against Hezbollah leadership earlier in 2026. In April, Israeli forces killed Haj Youssef Ismail Hashem, commander of Hezbollah’s Southern Front, in a naval strike on Beirut. Other strikes targeted intelligence officials and aides close to Hezbollah’s senior leadership.

  • Israel bombed Beirut in an expansion of attacks on Lebanon and in the first strike on the Lebanese capital since a “ceasefire”, in name only, came into force on April 17.
  • Israeli forces have consistently violated the ceasefire with retaliated and on Wednesday killed at least 13 people in attacks across the country, including claiming to have targeted eliminating a senior Hezbollah commander in a strike on Beirut.

“The IDF has just struck in Beirut the commander of the Radwan Force in the Hezbollah terror organization to eliminate him.”

  • Hamas has condemned Israel’s attacks on Gaza, calling the daily bombings and growing death toll a “blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement” and a continuation of Israel’s “war of extermination” in the Palestinian territory.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the attack, saying he and Defence Minister Israel Katz had instructed the army to carry out the attack.

“Radwan terrorists are responsible for shooting at Israeli settlements and harming [Israeli army] soldiers. No terrorist has immunity – Israel’s long hand will catch every enemy and murderer,” Netanyahu said in a post on Telegram. By weaponizing the Strait of Hormuz, Iran committed a strategic blunder of historic proportions. Tehran meant to punish America. Iran has created a world where hard resource power decides outcomes.

  • A spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has claimed that its armed forces have not carried out any missile or drone operations against the UAE in recent days.
  • US President Donald Trump has urged Iran to “do the smart thing” and make a deal, while Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth has said the ceasefire with Iran is “not over” despite the escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
  • The Israeli military has launched new air attacks on southern Lebanon while issuing forced displacement orders for two more towns, as Hezbollah claims attacks in response.

Iran rejects claims it targeted UAE, says attack was aimed at US

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson has denied the UAE’s allegation that it fired missiles and drones at it, saying Tehran’s actions were “exclusively” directed at the US.

The ministry said in a statement that Iran would not “spare any action in taking the necessary and appropriate measures to defend its interests and national security”.

Rubio says US aims to restore Hormuz status ‘to the way it was’

Rubio says Washington’s preference is that the Strait of Hormuz goes “back to the way it was”.

That means “anyone can use it, no mines in the water and nobody paying tolls,” he said.

He continues “The Jews split into 71 sects, one of which will be in paradise and 70 in hell” Before adding “The Christians split into 72 sects, every one of which will be in hell and one in the paradise”.
 He also ridicules Christian observances, including Easter. This is a Tony Burke immigrant success story of an immigrant who doesn’t “assimilate” and is being “who he is”.
