The IDF and Shin Bet have announced the killing of a senior Hamas figure involved in the October 7 attacks, along with other operatives, in a recent airstrike in Gaza.

Iyad Nasser, identified as the deputy commander of Hamas’ Jabalia Battalion, was eliminated on July 10 in a targeted strike carried out by the IDF’s 282nd Artillery Regiment. Nasser had participated in the October 7 invasion into Israel and, despite being wounded earlier in the conflict, later resumed his leadership role in northern Gaza.

According to the IDF, Nasser was actively involved in orchestrating attacks against Israeli forces, including operations in recent weeks.
The airstrike also killed two additional Hamas terrorists linked to the October 7 assault: Hassan Mahmoud Muhammad Mar’i, commander of Jabalia’s central company, and Muhammad Zaki Shamadeh Hamad, deputy commander in Hamas’ Beit Hanoun Battalion. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Secretary Kristi Noemannounced Thursday the cancellation of $18.5 million in taxpayer-funded grants for the Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3).

The grants were designated by the Biden administration to provide taxpayer funds to various organizations that DHS says are “ideologically driven programs” promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and LGBTQ agendas.

“These cancellations reflect DHS’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and national security,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital.

The DOGE-like approach will allow DHS to divert taxpayer funds within the agency, and a spokesperson said the money “will be redirected to efforts that actually protect the American people.”
