Australia’s Opposition Leader intensifies his stance, clashing with government and intelligence officials.

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has turned up the heat over Australia’s handling of the Gaza crisis by calling for a complete ban on Palestinians fleeing the war-torn region.

This comes as the nation faces an elevated terror threat and deepens Dutton’s rift with the government and ASIO chief Mike Burgess.

Following the Coalition’s push for stricter security measures for Gazan refugees, Dutton took it a step further, advocating for an outright ban. He raised concerns over the safety and security risks involved, particularly regarding the identification and potential allegiances of those seeking asylum.

Last week, Opposition Leader Dutton replied to an interviewer, calling for the public to dob in loved ones, friends, or workmates who have changed their opinion of the Government for the worse to #ASIO. After facing backlash on social media, I expected the Opposition Leader to clarify his remarks, but he has yet to do so. His advocacy for Australians to report their fellow Australians to ASIO for expressing concerns about government COVID measures—which destroyed lives, health and families—is deeply troubling. We are witnessing police actions in #Canada and the #UnitedKingdom where merely attending a protest rally, without any violent actions, is grounds for arrest and imprisonment. Is this a glimpse into the future under the Liberal Party?

WHO Declares Monkeypox “Global Health Emergency” – Again

…this is the second time in two years the WHO has declared monkeypox a “Public Health Emergency of International Concern” (and this time with a new name)

Tedros and the psychopaths at the WHO are ramping up the fear of Monkeypox.

The World Health Organization’s director-general said the United Nations health body is considering declaring an emergency for mpox, also known as monkeypox, amid an outbreak in Africa.

“But more funding and support for a comprehensive response are needed,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote on the social media platform X on Sunday.

“I am considering convening an International Health Regulations emergency committee to advise me on whether the outbreak of mpox should be declared a public health emergency of international concern.”

By Tuesday, it was unclear when the WHO would declare the emergency or issue any warnings about the virus.

They. just did.

Australians Will Fight For Freedom of Speech

Senator Roberts is absolutely right in advocating for freedom of speech to be enshrined in our Constitution.

One Nation advocates for the enshrinement of freedom of speech as a fundamental human right in our Constitution.

We are the only Australian political party actively working to integrate freedom of speech into our legal and social framework. Contrary to popular belief, this right is not currently enshrined in the Australian Constitution, though many Australians assume it is.

While the Constitution provides a limited form of freedom of speech concerning political communications, it falls short of the comprehensive protection seen in the American Constitution, where freedom of speech is explicitly guaranteed.

I am calling for a thorough investigation into the necessity and benefits of including such a provision in our Constitution. Such a change would bring an end to governmental overreach and prevent legislation aimed at censoring speech by labelling it as ‘misinformation’ or ‘disinformation’ for political reasons.

The press and media are also guilty of suppressing dissenting views that challenge the government’s narrative, and social media platforms are known for shadow banning or cancelling comments that oppose government positions. This was particularly evident during the #COVID-19 period of mandates and shutdowns, targeting those who questioned government control.

We must resist any government measures that would further restrict freedom of speech and advocate for stronger protections to safeguard this essential right.

BBC: Court Hears Man Arrested for ‘Anti-Establishment Rhetoric’ on Social Media

The new UK government’s dragnet continues to dredge the internet, with the state broadcaster noting the arrest of an internet user for “anti-Muslim and anti-establishment rhetoric” going to court this week.

The BBC states a 40-year-old man was arrested on Sunday in Lincolnshire over the use of social media. Wayne O’Rourke appeared in Magistrate’s court on Tuesday, did not enter a plea, and will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Friday.

This week in Parliament, I’ll be moving for the Senate to support an inquiry into much-needed reforms to our flawed native title system. Back in the early 1990s, around 14.22% of Australian land was under native title. Fast forward to 2016, and that number has jumped to over 30%, with another 31% pending.
 
This means we could soon see more than 60% of Australia under native title, with no end date for additional claims in sight. I’ve previously put forward a motion to introduce a sunset clause, but it was voted down.
 
The question remains: How can less than 3% of the population end up owning over 60% of the land under native title, especially when some Aboriginal people already own freehold land? Meanwhile, the rest of Australia is left to compromise, facing restrictions on land access and resource use.
 
We need to ask tough questions: What has native title actually achieved for the country and for Indigenous Australians? The land is tied up, and in many cases, even Indigenous people can’t own or access it.
 
This situation cannot continue unchecked. On top of this, the Prime Minister needs to come clean on his plans for the so-called “Truth and Justice Commission,” also referred to as the “Makarrata Commission.” One Nation does not support this secretive Makarrata Commission, and the people deserve to know if Albanese plans to push forward with this radical proposal, which was strongly rejected by the public when they voted down his divisive Voice.
 
It’s clear to me that this is part of a larger agenda, one that aims to create a separate black state within our nation. I’ve been fighting for equality for all Australians for the last 30 years, and I won’t stand by as our country is divided.
 
I’m also calling for a royal commission into the Aboriginal industry to expose where the $35 to $40 billion a year is going. There’s no real accountability or outcomes, and we know corruption is rife within this industry. We need transparency and true leadership on this issue, and it’s time the Australian people were given answers.

Hamas has rejected hostage talks that were set for this week, hours after CNN published a poorly-sourced article claiming that the terrorist group was serious about a deal but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not.

Axios.com reported (original emphasis):

Hamas announced on Sunday that it rejects the invitation by the U.S., Qatar and Egypt for a final round of negotiations over the Gaza hostage and ceasefire deal planned for Thursday.

Why it matters: Hamas’ announcement is a significant setback for the Biden administration’s efforts to reach a hostage and ceasefire deal and prevent the Gaza conflict from escalating into a regional war.

Earlier, CNN had reported, citing unnamed sources:

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar wants a ceasefire deal — at least, that’s the message Egyptian and Qatari mediators have conveyed to Israeli officials in recent days ahead of a critical summit later this week, an Israeli source familiar with the matter said.

Whether the Israeli prime minister wants one remains shrouded in uncertainty.
