Among the more notable and amusing moments from President Trump’s newly published interview with Politico is when he stated that NATO officials refer to him as “Daddy” after being proven right on the need to bolster collective defense funding through increased European budgets.

This tough approach, heavily vocalized during his first term – and subject of immense pushback from European leaders at the time, is now by and large being belatedly (and now urgently) embraced as Europe ramps up defense investments amid the griding Russia-Ukraine war.

“NATO calls me Daddy,” Trump said in the interview, highlighting that Europe has relied much too heavily on American military might and funding for decades.

Europe’s leaders are destroying Europe.

President Trump warned European leaders that their countries will completely fail if they continue pursuing suicidal green energy policies and allowing unvetted mass migration.

~~Today~~ Last week, the European Commission fined Elon Musk’s X €140 million for, it says, breaking laws requiring social media transparency. Specifically, said the Commission, which is the executive branch of the European Union, X broke the law by making its blue checkmarks available to anyone, failing to make its advertising repository transparent, and failing to provide researchers with special access to its data. “Today’s decision has nothing to do with content moderation,” insisted the Commission’s spokesperson.

In truth, the Commission’s fine has everything to do with “content moderation,” which is censorship. The EU wants X to give its data to government-selected “researchers” so they can identify which posts and advertisements should be censored. This is a censorship-by-proxy strategy. The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from 2020 to 2022, and Europe today, have authorized government-funded NGOs to demand censorship of social media platforms in an attempt to deceive the public.

As such, the European Commission is spreading disinformation in order to demand censorship, and is openly engaged in a deception campaign aimed at confusing the people of Europe and the United States about what it is doing.

The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a louche group that claims to be a “civil rights organization” but in fact is a Muslim supremacist group that spreads anti-Israel propaganda, admires Hamas, conducts voting drives for Muslim candidates, and warns its members not to cooperate with law enforcement on terrorism.

First Texas and and now Florida Lead Bans on Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR

Texas and Florida have pioneered state-level designations of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as terrorist organizations. These moves highlight alleged ties to Hamas and covert Islamic networks.

On November 18, 2025, Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued Executive Proclamation GP-58, labeling MB and CAIR as foreign terrorist organizations under Texas Penal Code Chapter 71. Abbott called CAIR a “successor” to MB.

CAIR-Texas chapters sued Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton on November 20 in federal court, claiming violations of First, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a similar executive order on December 9, 2025, designating MB and CAIR as terrorist entities. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and several other senior U.S. officials have criticized the internet policies of the European Union (EU), likening them to censorship, after the governing bloc last week levied Elon Musk’s social media platform X with a $140 million fine for breaching its online content rules.

On Dec. 5, EU tech regulators fined X 120 million euros (about $140 million) following a two-year investigation under the Digital Services Act, concluding that the social platform had breached multiple transparency obligations, including the “deceptive design of its ‘blue checkmark,’ the lack of transparency of its advertising repository, and the failure to provide access to public data for researchers.”

The EU accused X of converting its verified badges into a paid feature without sufficient identity checks, arguing that this deceived users into believing the accounts were authentic and exposed them to fraud, manipulation, and impersonation.

This meant the platform had failed to meet the Digital Services Act’s accessibility and detail standards, leaving out key information that prevented efforts to track coordinated disinformation, illicit activities, and election interference, according to the EU.

Even before the EU’s fine was announced, U.S. Vice President JD Vance suggested it amounted to punishing X for “not engaging in censorship.”

On Dec. 5, Rubio wrote in a post on X that the fine was not “just an attack on @X, it’s an attack on all American tech platforms and the American people by foreign governments.”

“The days of censoring Americans online are over,” Rubio wrote.

The Department of Health and Human Services has altered the name on the official portrait of Rachel Levine.

His original name Richard has been restored.

Levine, who served for years as Joe Biden’s assistant secretary for health, is a transgender woman who has long been the subject of mockery for his somewhat unconvincing gender transition.

“Somewhat unconvincing” puts it charitably. “Guffaw-inducing” would be more accurate.
