The blockade officially began at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time on Monday.

President Donald Trump’s blockade of Iran could be poised to deliver a staggering blow to the Iranian economy, including the cash flows needed by the regime to pay the host of soldiers and thugs it requires to stay in power.

“The blockade will be enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman,” the statement said.

More about Russia’s offer to take Iran’s enriched uranium

The Kremlin has reiterated its readiness to help Iran hand over its highly enriched uranium to Russia, which is capable of accommodating it.

For many years, Russia has been one of the key countries participating in the negotiation process on Iran’s nuclear programme.

It has repeatedly offered to export excess enriched uranium from Iran, process it and return it in the form of nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants.

Still, Iran hasn’t accepted the offer.

It is an open question whether there will be a Europe in 50 years’ time, a European Parliament conference on civil war heard this week.

Many government officials already perceive the horrific implications of Europe’s nation states losing their self-belief and descending into polar factionalism, with the continued existence of Europe or its constituent parts in question, but understand that speaking of it openly remains career suicide, a conference at the European Parliament has heard.

It is “a possibility that is quite close” that the British people will pass into history “like the Canaanites or the Arcadians”, and it is an open question whether there will be a Europe in 50 years’ time, a European Parliament conference heard from a panel of expert speakers.

A U.N. panel has accused the Trump administration of “racist hate speech” and suggested the U.S. crackdown on illegal immigration has led to “grave human rights violations.”

The criticism came in a new report released Wednesday by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD), which took direct aim at Trump and other political leaders over their rhetoric on immigration enforcement.
