Think we should have a secure border? Ok, xenophobe. Disagree with DEI and anti-White racism? Ok, racist. You don’t want to allow your children to mutilate their genitals? Ok, transphobe. Are you straight? Ok, homophobe. Do you want free and fair elections? Ok, election denier. You didn’t take the COVID jab? Ok, science denier.

And no matter how much conservatives try to be accepting and tolerant of others’ ideas, they’re constantly labeled Nazis, fascists, and racists, and hit with a slew of other character attacks.

Over two-thirds of the Spanish public are opposed to the mass amnesty of illegal migrants planned by Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.

Last month, the leftist coalition government announced that it would enact by Royal decree — thus skirting the need for a vote in the parliament — to grant residence permits to illegals who could demonstrate that they do not have a criminal record and have been in the country for at least five months.

The Socialist party-led government initially estimated that this would allow for the regularisation of half a million migrants; however, other projections have found that upwards of 850,000 illegals could receive residency under the scheme.

The move is apparently wildly unpopular, with a SocioMétrica survey for the El Españolnews outlet finding that 67.4 per cent of Spanish voters oppose the amnesty.

Intriguingly, opposition is fiercest among young voters aged 17 to 35, 89.3 per cent of whom are against the scheme.

‘Armed men & intimidation’ in Gaza hospital 

Medecins Sans Frontieres has suspended non-critical medical activities at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza after reports of armed men inside the facility and concerns over the movement of weapons, while continuing some lifesaving services.

Since the ceasefire, “MSF teams have reported a pattern of unacceptable acts, including the presence of armed men, intimidation, arbitrary arrests of patients and a recent situation of suspicion of movement of weapons”, it said.

While international law gives hospitals special protections during war, they can lose this immunity if combatants use them to hide fighters or store weapons, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross. Still, there must be plenty of warning to allow the evacuation of staff and patients before any operations take place. While European leaders cautiously welcomed a softer tone from the US at the Munich Security Conference, American independence and the “Trumpian narrative” remained top of mind for Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Marco Rubio’s speech at the Munich Security Conference didn’t deviate from the themes of Donald Trump’s second term in office.

Europe, he said Saturday, had to speed up its defense spending and army building.

The US secretary of state warned, as the Trump administration has done before, that Europe risked “civilizational erasure.” And he espoused a general view that in a new world order, it was nations — not institutions — that would get an imperfect world on track.

But his tone was far softer than a year ago when US Vice President JD Vance shook the gathering of world political and defense leaders by lambasting Europe’s approach to free speech, immigration and security.

It was the same message, not ‘softer’ at all:

Secretary of State Marco Rubio told European leaders that the US and Europe are bound by shared Christian faith, history, and cultural heritage . He strongly emphasized that unchecked mass migration threatens social cohesion and cultural continuity. He also criticized what he called “climate cult” !

DW Chief International Correspondent Richard Walker said it appeared Rubio was trying to create “a Trumpian narrative of what the West actually is.”
