Six years later, one of the remaining super-skyscrapers in New York, the Empire State Building, is going to go dysentery green for the Muslim holiday of Eid.
New York’s iconic Empire State Building is to be lit up green from Friday in honor of the Muslim holiday of Eid, the biggest festival in the Muslim calendar marking the end of Ramadan, officials said.
“This is the first time that the Empire State Building will be illuminated for Eid, and the lighting will become an annual event in the same tradition of the yearly lightings for Christmas and Hannukah,” according to a statement.
Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month, is expected to be celebrated in New York from Friday, depending on when the new moon is sighted, and the city’s tallest skyscraper will remain green until Sunday.
Built in the early 1930s, the 443-meter-tall (1,454-feet-tall) Empire State Building was first lit up with colored lighting in 1976, when red, white and blue lights were used to mark the American Bicentennial.
An estimated seven million Muslims live in the United States.

The problem with this is the unexamined assumption that Islam is exactly the same kind of thing as Judaism and Christianity, and must be welcomed into the United States with no examination of the ready-made societal alternative that it offers, and which some Muslims have made clear that they are determined ultimately not just to offer but to impose upon the West. In light of the dim view that some Muslims have of Western holidays, can we expect that in an Islamic New York, as some would like to see exist someday, the building will still be lit up for Christmas and Hanukkah?
Another unexamined assumption is that most Muslims abhor what happened on 9/11, and so this is no insult to the memory of those who died on that day. But I can’t help but think how nice it would have been to light up the World Trade Center towers also.

The three co-equal branches of the Unholy Alliance – Islamic radicals, far-Left activists, and academics – have returned to their usual level of discourse – intimidation, slander, ad hominem attacks – in an attempt to ban Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week from college campuses before it ever occurs.
National “Muslim and Arab rights” organizations are pressuring college administrators to prevent students from holding the peaceful, educational seminars. Conservative students have been accused of “hate speech” actually manufactured in their name by radical campus leftists, and at least one conservative is being harassed although she is not in any way associated with Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week.
THE NATIONAL “MUSLIM RIGHTS” HATE CAMPAIGN
Two prominent Arab/Muslim groups – the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) – have taken their efforts to censor IFAW or malign its founders nationwide. Notably absent from its literature is any attempt to disprove the conclusions of Robert Spencer, to refute the stories of Iranian women persecuted by extremist Islam, or demonstrate any factual error on the part of any IFAW speaker. Instead, they simply try to shut it down and paint its organizers as knuckle-dragging hatemongers.

A memorial pointed at mecca? The Empire State building glowing green? This is a bad dream right? I’m gonna wake up any minute now….

It seems funny, but of course it isn’t, the more you know about “Islam” and “Demography” and so on, the more frightening it all becomes.
Empire State Building thank you from the peaceful ones: fly a plane into it. Lit up like that it will make a wonderful target. This from the city of 9/11-the world has truly gone nuts.

The Empire State building should be coloured red, in memory of all those killed by muslims since 9/11.
Until the religion can accept criticism and truth (ie: never) they should be shown absolutely no respect.
The Empire State Building will be a great target for all the ROP celebrants of eid al-fitr. I can’t believe New Yorkers won’t be out there protesting this travesty.
