Well, I guess you don’t need a manual to ride a camel. Coverage of the story was deemed insulting to Muslim Arabs.

This spanking new Airbus 340-600, the 2nd largest
passenger airplane ever built, sits just outside its hangar
in Toulouse , France without a single hour of airtime.
Enter the Arab flight crew of Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) to conduct pre-delivery tests on the ground, such a engine run-ups prior to delivery to Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi .
The ADAT crew taxied the A340-600 to the run-up area.
Then they took all four engines to take-off power with a
virtually empty aircraft. Not having read the run-up manuals, they had no clue just how light an empty A340-600 really is.
The take-off warning horn was blaring away in the cockpit
because they had all 4 engines at full power. The aircraft’s
computers thought they were trying to take off but it had not
been configured properly (flaps, slats, etc..)
Then, one of the ADAT crew decided to pull the circuit-breaker on the Ground Proximity Sensor to silence the alarm. This fools the aircraft into thinking it is in the air.
The computers automatically released all the brakes and
set the aircraft rocketing forward.
The ADAT crew had no idea that this is a safety feature
so that pilots can’t land with the brakes on.
Not one member of the seven-man Arab crew was smart
enough to throttle back the engines from their max power
setting, so the $200 million brand-new Aircraft crashed into a blast barrier, totaling it.
The extent of injuries to the crew is unknown due to the
news blackout in the major media in France and elsewhere.
Coverage of the story was deemed insulting to Muslim Arabs.

Don't curse us, don't threaten us with death or hellfire, and don't accuse us of being "just like the terrorists" because we don't do to Muslims what they do to us or to themselves. Yes, we know that only idiots oppose Islam and sensible people submit, but you should know that we are ignorant bigots, hypocrites and Islamophobes, and we prefer to remain that way...
But since you are forcing yourselves (and your abhorrent belief-system on us) we will defend ourselves, because we must. Avoid tu quoque and ad hominem attacks. Don't bother with circular reasoning either, we been there, done it. If you annoy us, you will be banned and your posts summarily deleted.
Try to add to the discussion, don't try to sell snake oil, don't try to cover us with Islamic shrouds of kitman and taqiyya, don't bother with da'awa, (we've heard it before) don't spam us with long pieces of cut & paste, write in English, try to tell the truth,
(we know that's hard for you because you are all pathological liars) but the truth will set you free, try it!
One more thing: don't think you can post here under multiple monikers. You will quickly be disappeared! The same goes for
trufers and conspiracy kooks: you get one chance, one time. Blow it out of your ass if you must; put your stupidity on display.

Take a deep breath before you post, try to make some sense, do not just vent, do not make a fool of yourself and if you prove us wrong you can earn 10 Islamic dollars for your piggy bank. Deal?

Its obvious the Quran, the one and only book, Muslims are supposed to read does not contain instructions for piloting a 21st century aircraft.
This observation can easily lead to other conclusions which will be left unspoken less infidels be put to further disadvantage.
Obviously why the monkeys who flew the planes into the twin towers had to allow the real pilots to take off! Darwins certainty is playing out amongst the consanguineous!
They only wanted to know how to fly the things – not how to take off
and land them.

I have checked this – If I am correct this occurred in 2007, no Arabs were on board, and the procedure breakdown occurred during ground testing. Two airbus staff were on board and they were amongst the most severely hurt. Also, Emirates pilots are usually highly trained westerners. Sheik, please check source reference against documented incident at Toulouse in 2007.

Kaw, I think you should reread the content of this article one more time! It said :-

Maybe this was intentional. After all, it’s not like Arabs have never crashed a plane before (9/11, Lockerbie, etc…) . Although hilarious, I am reminded of the way Arabs drive their cars. I live in an Arab country, and every single day on the way to work I am treated to a landscape littered with vehicles destroyed utterly, due to the incompetence of the natives. Must be all the inbreeding.

The photos have been available for over one year – there was NO media blackout. We heard about this accident after it happened, but we are closer to the aviation scene than most. The official accident report is also available on the internet and has been for some time.
We tend to diminish the point we are trying to make (incompatibility of fundamentalist islam with our society) when we falsely accuse the enemy of gross incompetence. There are enough real examples of arab/muslim ineptitude so there is no need to invent anything. Do you seriously think that Airbus would allow an untrained flight crew to command one of their aircraft, even on ground tests!! Airbus technical staff are highly professional and they have the final say in who does what, where and when. An unqualified person couldn’t even get his big toe into the passenger cabin at Toulouse.
