Islamic cemetery to be opened after end of Ramadan

Western officials do not realize the significance of opening an official Muslim cemetery within their jurisdiction, but the Muslims do: they know that by doing so they have carved out a little piece of Dar al-Islam within Dar al-Harb, in perpetuity.

Finland: Muslims want their own graveyards

It’s one thing to move to non-Muslim lands and benefit off infidels — but being buried alongside them is highly undesirable. “Muslims looking for land to set up cemetery near Helsinki,” from Helsingin Sanomat, August 16:

Tehran (AsiaNews) – The life of Shirin Ebadi, Nobel peace prize winner in 2003, is in danger. Ebadi has been fearless in denouncing the oppression of human rights in her country. The alarm has been raised by Rooz, a website for Iranian exiles, which deduces it from the “charge” made a few days ago by the official news agency IRNA, saying that Ebadi and her daughter, a student at McGill University in Canada, have become members of the Bahai religion. The Bahai are considered a heretical Islamic group, and are persecuted.

The accusation, according to Rooz, is a sham set up to disguise the intention of having the woman killed, or at least of frightening her to the point of making her stop her activities in favor of human rights, or leave the country.

Graduates at Al Quds University

JAFFA, Israel – A Palestinian Authority-allied university funded in part by the United Nations dedicated its graduation ceremony to one of the most infamous Palestinian terrorists, WND has learned. 

The Al Quds Open University dedicated the ceremony last weekend at a major campus in the West Bank city of Qalqiliya to the memory of female suicide bomber Dalal al-Mughrabi, who led an attack in March 1978 that killed a total of 36 Israelis.

According to a faculty member who helped lead the graduation, the master of ceremonies announced the year’s graduation cycle was dedicated to the “hero” Mughrabi, who planned and led an attack in which she and 10 other Palestinians infiltrated Israel by sea, landed on a beach, killed an American photographer and then hijacked and blew up a crowded bus.

A report from the UN’s committee on human rights hit out at Britain’s terror and libel laws and use of the Offical Secrets Act.

The UN said provisions under the Terrorism Act 2006 covering encouragement of terrorism are too “broad and vague” which could infringe on freedom of expression. Under the new law people convicted of encouragement of terrorism face up to seven years in jail even if they did not intend to incite violence.

To avoid discussing or examining the Islamic element of today’s global jihad hinders our understanding of the jihadists’ motivations. And the radio station complies. There is perhaps no one person that “radicals” despise as much as Father Zakaria Botros. I first described him and his ministry here (be sure to click on links that go to important video clips of him, with English subtitles). The problem Muslims have with Botros is that they simply cannot refute his “rants” and “hate speech,” for the simple reason that everything he says — no matter how scandalizing for Islam — is always based on Islamic sources. This article, for example, keeps demonizing Botros by suggesting that, out of the blue and with no evidence, Botros claims Muhammad had homosexual inclinations. Well, I just watched that show on the internet, and, even though his talk about Islam’s prophet was scandalous, it was also, nonetheless, totally derived from Islamic sources, particularly little known hadiths — all of which were certainly at least suggestive of homosexual behavior. And at any rate, I have rarely seen Botros claim anything about Islam; he only raises questions, based on Islam’s sources, and then invites Islam’s ulema to respond and “clarify” the matter.
