The Islamic Jihad organization said on Sunday that it has decided to resume suicide attacks against Israel from the West Bank.  The threat came in response to attacks launched by IAF planes on the Gaza Strip following the firing of rockets on Israel in the past few days.

Woman asks to wear burqa in witness box

On Tuesday, the jury in the case was discharged after the estimated time for the fraud trial of a Muslim college director blew out from 10 days to five weeks, causing attendance problems for five jurors.

A new jury will be empanelled when a retrial is approved.

After the jury was discharged, defence lawyer Mark Trowell told reporters a jury would not be able to “make a proper assessment” of the witness if they could not see her face.

He said it was believed to be the first time in Australia that a witness had wanted to wear a full burqa.

Anwar Sayed has been charged with fraudulently obtaining $1.125 million from the state and federal governments by falsifying the number of students at the Muslim Ladies College of Australia in Kenwick in Perth’s south.

Pastor Killed for Converting ‘Too Many’ Muslims… (TROP)

Pastor Artur Suleimanov, 49, was shot by unidentified gunmen recently while leaving Hosanna Christian Church in Dagestan on July 15.

Suleimanov was a Russian pastor who founded the biggest Protestant church in the Northern Caucasus region. The church has 1,000 members, 80 percent of whom were previously Muslim.

He was murdered recently after a media report said he deserved to die for converting too many Muslims.

“The housemaids will continue to run away even if their sponsors are regularly paying them their monthly salaries,” (what’s that?  Arab News telling us they’re not getting paid regularly?)

In the Philippines Embassy, more than 200 women are packed in a sweltering room, where they sleep on their luggage and pass the time singing along to Filipino crooners on television. So many runaways are sheltering in the Indonesian Embassy that some have left a packed basement and taken over a prayer room.

Greetings from corruption free Hong Kong, where I just found the following article in the China Daily HK. My curiosity was aroused when I saw the name ‘Amina Bokhary’, (not that this has anything to do with Islam; we all know that good Muslims don’t drink and drive)  so I did a quick google search. Here’s what came up.

Judge niece spared prison term

The niece of top judge Kemal Bokhary was spared jail yesterday after being convicted of assaulting police for a third time. The decision brought a mixed response from police unions but sparked an outcry on a radio talk show.

Amina Mariam Bokhary, 34, whose uncle is Mr Justice Kemal Bokhary of the Court of Final Appeal, was put on probation for a year by Magistrate Anthony Yuen Wai-ming for slapping a police officer after a car accident on January 27.

Yuen said assaulting police and failing to take a breath test, which Amina Bokhary also admitted, were serious offences that usually called for immediate custodial sentences.

“But … the defendant has a good background, a well-off family, good education and outstanding academic achievement … with a first-class honour in bachelor of business administration,” he said. “And most importantly, [she] has caring and concerned parents.”

The Eastern Court magistrate, who heard earlier that Bokhary suffered from bipolar disorder that she tried to control with alcohol, added: “Unlike other criminals, you’re not a bad person but a sick person … with limited insight into your illness.”
