You have to watch out for these insane lorries careening around our cities. Oddly enough at least one of the occupants of the crazed lorry turns out to be a refugee from Afghanistan/Pakistan. Not that any reasonable, thinking person would be surprised by that revelation, anymore.

Christmas markets are a grand German tradition, but probably not for much longer.

Russia’s ambassador to Turkey has been shot dead at an art exhibition opening in Ankara by an off-duty police officer shouting slogans about Syria’s civil war.

Ambassador Andrei Karlov, 62, was several minutes into a speech when the gunman fired at least eight shots.

“Don’t forget Aleppo, don’t forget Syria!” the gunman shouted in Turkish.

The undercover assassin also shouted “Allahu akbar,” the Arabic phrase for “God is great” and continued in Arabic: “We are the descendants of those who supported the Prophet Muhammad, for jihad.”

At least 12 dead in ‘terrorist attack’ after truck crashes into Berlin Christmas market

A tractor trailer loaded with steel beams plowed into a crowd of Christmas shoppers in Berlin Monday — killing at least 12 people and injuring nearly 50 others in what officials are investigating as an act of terrorism.

The popular central city market outside the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church was teeming with tourists and locals when the massive black truck came barreling through the market — toppling tables and upending wooden stands.

Shoppers had little time to react as the rig roared through at what one witness described as 40 mph — picking off panicked pedestrians before coming to a destructive halt.

“I think everybody thought there was a terrorist attack happening,” witness Shandana Durrani, who was 20 feet away from the truck when it rammed several market stalls, told CNN.

The blood in Berlin: Stopping terror over there from getting here

“People dropped what they were carrying and ran for cover. It seemed like the truck just jumped the curb and took a wrong turn and barreled through the crowd.”

Durrani, an American who moved to Berlin a few months ago, said she might have been a victim if she had not slowed her pace to respond to a text message.

“I ran behind a stall to get away — but there was really no place to go because it was happening so fast,” she said.

Mike Fox, a tourist from Birmingham, England, said the truck missed him by just a few feet.

Nine people have been killed after a lorry crashed into a Christmas market in Berlin. 

We all knew it was going to happen. Are you wondering why they hit Berlin first? There is no place in Germany that panders more to the Mohammedans. Did it keep them safe? Obviously not.

A large lorry raced through a Christmas market in the German capital of Berlin killing nine people and injuring several others.

Police in Berlin say the lorry stormed  plowed through the Christmas market at Breitscheidplatz in Berlin-Charlottenburg killing one man 9 people  and injuring several 50 others.

The lorry is said to have gone off the road and onto the market path which is purely for pedestrians. The truck then crashed after leaving the market. Police have yet to make a statement on any motives reports Berliner Zeitung but Sky News, quoting German media, said that “first indications from investigation suggest truck crash was an attack”.

Place your bets….I wonder who is odds on favourite for this one – Mentally ill, Norwegian, Home bred extremist or disaffected employee?

Headlines tomorrow: Berlin Muslims fear “backlash” over vehicle jihad. Next you will see pictures of candlelight vigils, mountains of flowers, perhaps someone will roll out a piano and sing “imagine no more countries….” some scruffy guitar player will sing “you got a friend”, you will see every other Islamo-spokesturd onTV assuring groveling leftoid talking heads that all of this has nothing-to-do-with-Islam, and before the blood dries on the sidewalk, you will hear endless Katzenjammer about “islamophobia” and how marginalized the Mustards are, and the political clown gallery will threaten the citizens to not take the law in their own hands, to not speak any hateful words, because all that is verboten and will be prosecuted with the full force of the law. Vandals on Saturday set fire on a Greek Orthodox church in the Lagolio village of Crete and wrote “Allah is great”, infuriating locals.

According to e-mesara.gr news website, unknown perpetrators set fire to the Church of Archangel Michael in Lagolio, burning holy icons and part of the chancel.

A passerby saw the fire and notified local residents who ran to put out the fire before it spread. The perpetrators had also written “Allah is great” in Arabic on the walls.

The desecration of the church took place between 3 to 5 p.m., according to police sources. Police forces from Heraklion and Tymbaki are investigating the incident.

The Church of Archangel Michael is an important pilgrimage for the region and attracts many believers from surrounding areas to its annual feast.

TEL AVIV — The organization partnered with Facebook to help determine whether a certain story is “disputed” is financed by billionaire George Soros and a slew of other left-wing funders.

The International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) drafted a code of five principles for news websites to accept, and Facebook yesterday announced it will work with “third-party fact checking organizations” that are signatories to the code of principles.

Facebook says that if the “fact checking organizations” determine that a certain story is fake, it will get flagged as disputed and, according to the Facebook announcement, “there will be a link to the corresponding article explaining why. Stories that have been disputed may also appear lower in News Feed.”

For an idea on why Egypt’s Coptic Christians and their churches are constantly under attack—most recently last Sunday, when a church was bombed, killing at least 25 Christians—one need merely listen to the words and teachings of some of the nation’s Muslim preachers.

Take Dr. Ahmed al-Naqib, for instance.  He has studied at the best Islamic madrassas, including Al Azhar, authored numerous books on doctrine, received awards and decorations for his academic achievements, and regularly appears on television.  In one video he appears discussing an earlier Muslim mob attack on a church in Egypt, which the media and government always denounce as fitna, an Arabic word that means temptation or discord and which Islam commands Muslims to oppose.

Two men who planned to bomb a Sydney Shia prayer hall and vowed to stab people in the kidneys to impress an Islamic State recruiter have been jailed for at least 15 years.

Omar Al-Kutobi, 25, and Mohammad Kiad, 27, each pleaded guilty to one count of acting in preparation for a terrorist act, after they were arrested during counter-terrorism raids in February 2015.

In the NSW supreme court at Parramatta in Sydney’s west on Friday, Justice Peter Garling sentenced them to 20 years’ imprisonment with a non-parole period of 15 years.

The pair were arrested during a raid of their western Sydney flat by counter-terrorism police in February 2015, with officers finding a hunting knife, a machete and a homemade Islamic State flag.

Garling said neither of the offenders had been raised to follow an extreme version of Islam. But by the end of 2014 both “had been drawn to and had embraced the ideology of the Islamic State and extremist Islamic views”.

He said the prosecution had alleged that the conspiracy between the two amounted to detonating an improvised explosive device to damage or destroy a building, and/or using a machete or hunting knife to attack a member of the public….

Seweid moved to the end of the train, but they followed her and attempted to pull off her hijab while yelling, “Take that thing off!” In her Facebook post, Seweid wrote about her disappointment that nobody on the train intervened when the men began to attack her.

New government language guide tells public servants not to say husband or wife because it’s too ‘heteronormative’ and it might offend people

Workers told not to use ‘husband’ and ‘wife’ as it’s heteronormative

Public servants in Victoria have been advised not to use the words ‘husband’ and ‘wife’ in order to promote ‘safer spaces’ for the LGBTI community.

The Inclusive Language Guide is a government initiative to keep people safe, particularly LGBTI people, The Australian reported.

Workers are being encouraged to adopt gender-neutral pronouns ‘zie’ and ‘hir’, and to avoid using derogatory terms. 

 Victorian Equality Minister Martin Foley (pictured) said the guide is part of a measure to eliminate homophobia, biphobia and transphobia

.

They are also being discouraged from asking ‘offensive questions’, particularly to transgender people, such as whether they have had surgery or not.

The guide encourages both the public and businesses to use the word ‘partner’ than wife, girlfriend, husband or boyfriend, to avoid heteronormativity and promote sexual freedom and equality.

Victorian Equality Minister Martin Foley said the guide was part of a measure to eliminate homophobia, biphobia and transphobia.
